The most profitable part of your marketing isn't what you think it is. It's rest, yes, really, because your marketing plan needs to be built around your specific business and your capacity, a capacity that allows for some margin, because often we feel like we have to be Go, go, go, go, go, otherwise our business will fall apart. And that is simply not true. Rest does not stall your growth. It actually fuels smarter marketing. It actually makes your marketing better, and here's how, because burnout is not a rite of passage, it is a sign your marketing strategy needs reworking. Most marketing strategy advice out there sounds like this sprint that you will never finish. Post every day, be everywhere, create endless content, stay top of mind. Oh, and don't forget to rest on top of all of that, I've rolled my eyes at that advice too. So I created a better way I work with high performing multi, six and seven figure founders who are serious about growth. If that's you too, I know you're also create craving more space. You've done the hustle. You know how to show up, but what you want now is a marketing strategy that works without running you into the ground, and that is what this episode is all about. So if you're struggling to keep up with content and your marketing feels scattered and exhausting to keep clients coming in the door, this sustainable rhythm will change everything, because rhythm is more powerful than hustle in your marketing, marketing, rhythm is the structure that keeps you visible, top of mind and in alignment with your energy. It's a weekly or monthly cadence you can actually stick to, because it's built around your capacity, not someone else's content calendar. A rhythm is not a shortcut. We all know by now that there is no such thing, but it is a more sustainable way to show up and stay relevant, especially if you are a thought leader who wants to focus on deep work client delivery or your next big idea. Not only does this actually work, it works more powerfully than any other marketing strategy. I've seen no urgency or scarcity required when you build trust through consistent, authentic touch points. People remember you, they recommend you. They buy from you. You don't need to shout louder when you speak clearly, regularly and in a way that feels true to you. But before we go deeper, let's define something I build all of my marketing strategies around for all my different clients. It's called values first marketing. This means leading with what matters most to you and your audience. It's marketing rooted in honesty, empathy, clarity and connection, not pressure, not tricks and not urgency tactics, because when your strategy reflects your values, you build trust. And when you build trust, people don't just buy. They stay a strong marketing rhythm doesn't just support your schedule. It reflects your values. When you choose consistency over chaos, you are signaling to your audience. I respect your attention, your most valuable asset, and I practice what I preach. I'm not just here to exhaust you, my audience or myself. So rest is part of a smart marketing strategy. It's not the absence of marketing, but it's what makes your marketing better. You need mental space to think clearly, to get excited about what you're saying, to come up with new offers, angles and ideas, things that can only come from you. And that white space leads to insight, and that insight is going to lead to your best messaging. Some of my best performing content came from moments outside of my marketing work. It's a conversation over coffee, a reflection during a walk, a box or message I sent to a client, or even just staring out the window on a road trip to take a vacation with my family. This is the beauty of rhythm. It gives you room to live your life and run your business well, when you're not scrambling to post every day, you can listen better, and that means you're going to notice patterns in what your audience says. And when you build a marketing strategy that is rude, that allows you to build a marketing strategy that is rooted in real connection, not panic, posting, choosing rest isn't laziness, it is leadership. And we have a whole episode. It's one of my best performing episodes with Dr Shamika Dean. I'll link that in the show notes. When you choose rest as leadership, it shows you value creativity, presence and long term impact over busy work. Now here's the problem with constant visibility. There is a real pressure in the online space to be everywhere all the time. You don't need me to tell you that kind of visibility is exhausting. Inconsistent content confuses your audience, but constant output burns you out, and neither is good for business. Many founders I work with are swinging between silence and sprinting. They are creating content regularly until they just disappear because they just can't do it anymore because it's overwhelming. They're also leading a team, serving clients, parenting or traveling, and then life happens, and this is why a marketing rhythm matters. It gives you your business structure without rigidity, it builds trust without burnout, and it keeps you visible without sacrificing your mental capacity. So there's three signs you need a rhythm in your marketing. If any of these feel familiar, it's maybe time to rethink how you approach visibility, and we should probably chat too. So number one, you're spending hours creating content with little return. Number two, you feel like you have to choose between marketing or resting. And three, you've seen success, but you want more ease in your day to day. This is about doing the right things at a rhythm you can sustain. Because the real Flex is not being on every single platform. It's showing up consistently and clearly where it counts. We recently had a episode with the amazing Christina bar told that I'll link that in the show notes, where she goes into this in more in depth about not having to be on every platform. And she is an expert in social media strategy and community building, and we'll show she shares in that episode exactly what to do. So check the show notes for that. Okay, the bottom line there is that the visibility is not the same as connection. There's a big difference there, and we really want the connection over just visibility for visibility sake. That's not necessarily profitable. All right, so how do we build this marketing strategy that supports both rest and revenue? Let's get tactical. Here is a simple framework to build your own marketing rhythm. Number one, I would always start with audit. What is already working. Ask yourself, where are your best clients actually coming from? What platforms or content types feel energizing to create? I also have a more in depth marketing and messaging and positioning audit that is linked in the show notes. It's absolutely free, ready for you to download in a simple Google doc format. Okay. Second part after you do the audit is I would pick one to two core visibility channels. This might be email on a podcast, or LinkedIn and networking events. Maybe it's threads and guesting on other people's podcasts. Focus on what fits you again. You don't have to do everything. We're going to really nail in one or two of these visibility challenges, challenges, these visibility channels. There we go. And then once that feels like in a good rhythm, and you have capacity for more, then potentially we could add on more, if that makes sense. But really one to two is all you need to make your business flow. All right. Step number three is to set a sustainable weekly or monthly cadence, choose what you can commit to on a hard week. If that is one email in one post, that's a rhythm that counts. Let's make that work. All right. Step number four, repurpose intentionally. One podcast episode can become five short posts or emails. One story can anchor your next newsletter. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just keep the wheel turning. Use that momentum you already have. And step number five is build in space to listen. This is one that so many people skip over or think they don't need, or they'll do it later, and then later never comes. But the beauty of this is, is that your community will often tell you exactly what they need, if you're not rushing past it, so use the DMS voice notes and client conversations as marketing Intel. This is part of my values. First marketing method. It attracts clients who already trust your voice, your vibe and your vision. They do not need convincing. They're already sold on you. And rhythm makes space for that kind of alignment to flourish. This is what a smart marketing strategy can look like. It's not about doing the most, it's about doing what works consistently and with purpose. So what is your next best move to strengthen your marketing strategy? If this conversation today made you relax your shoulders and breathe a little deeper. Let's build this new rhythm into your marketing plan, one that honors the business you've built, the success that you have and the life that you actually want to live. And it all starts with messaging that is going to make your marketing actually work. Don't waste your time pushing out the wrong message. Getting clarity on the message is going to instantly attract your right fit clients, like bees to honey. Again, I created a free messaging audit to help you identify where your message isn't quite landing and how to how to fix it or make it more powerful if it is working, how to add fuel to that fire and how to do that all without burning out in the process. So let's make your marketing strategy work for you, so you can focus on the stuff that actually moves the needle and lights you up. And speaking of rest, this actually concludes Season One of the podcast. We will be coming back in a few months with a new name and a new look and a whole nother season of great episodes. Thank you so much for tuning in.
