If you have ever caught yourself thinking, I know this offer helps people, so why aren't they clicking buy?
We are digging into what to do when you have the trust, the audience, the offer. You're seemingly doing everything right and still no sales.
So if you are a coach, service provider, or heart-centered entrepreneur with a strong mission and passion for what you do, you know you can make an impact, and you have, but you're still wondering, why isn't my content converting?
Or how do I get people to actually buy? This case study is for you. You will learn how one holistic pediatric expert went from zero sales to total clarity and confidence after a single copy critique within just 24 hours.
And how this same conversion copywriting method is It can help you create the emails and landing pages that actually work.
Because the reality is, if your copy doesn't make them feel seen, it won't make them say yes. So let's spell out the context of this problem here.
This is a real-life scenario, real client. She had a loyal and engaged Instagram audience. Her posts were generating literally hundreds of comments and DMs asking her for her link to buy.
But when followers landed on her sales page, no one purchased. Not one single sale. So if you have ever asked, why are people clicking but not buying?
Or why do my emails and landing pages fall flat even though my offer is solid? Is it my brand voice, my CTA, something else entirely, a mix of all those things?
This case study is going to answer all of that. So a little more background context. This is a member of my Copy Clarity Club.
She is a doctor. She helps moms. She Take charge of their family wellness using root cause and natural approaches.
She teaches personalized protocols to reduce overwhelm and build confidence in parenting decisions. She is amazing. But we've had this work for clients across so many different niches and industries, coaches, photographers, web designers, and even marketing professionals who just need an outside perspective on their own stuff.
For this particular case study, her brand voice was super clear. Her community trusts her, and her offer solves a very meaningful problem.
So what was missing? Let's diagnose where the copy was falling short. After she joined Copy Clarity Club, this member submitted her sales emails and landing page for a 24-hour critique.
Her primary question was, where is my messaging falling flat? Why isn't this working? So here's what we uncovered in our conversion copywriting breakdown.
There are four specific things that really... made it click for her. Number one, that it was too me-focused and not customer-centric.
So the original copy centered too much on her story and her credentials, which are very impressive, honestly, but it did not center on the reader's pain points and transformation.
So we reframed the copy to prioritize the voice of the customer using direct language her audience would say and focused on outcomes they cared about instead of credentials.
So things more like instead of her story and her credentials, we focus more on, I want to feel confident in my child's care decisions, things like that.
And then number two is that it was super hard to skim. This is so important because her audience is busy moms.
They don't read every word, right? They've got someone tugging at their leg for milk or a snack or something else, constantly needed.
So her copy originally was long and dense because she has so much great information to share. But It lacks structure and formatting to guide the reader's eye down the page and get them to know what they need to know right away before they got the decision fatigue and clicked or scrolled on.
So we added bolding, bullet points, and line breaks to make the copy even more skimmable. This keeps readers engaged, especially on mobile, and increasingly, the statistics show us people are reading this stuff on their cell phone, on their iPhone, right?
So we need to make sure that it is optimized for that. And so often, so many of us don't because we are creating these landing pages sitting down in our office or co-working space on the computer, right, on your actual laptop.
But that's not primarily where they're being read. So always check to make sure it translates on mobile because there's often tweaks that we need to make that we would never have guessed if we didn't check.
All right, so then number three is that she used... Gargan over clarity. So some terms like functional health and root cause protocols are really meaningful in the wellness world, but they weren't connecting to her audience.
So we translated her expertise into everyday language without dumbing it down. This made her message feel more approachable without watering it down or making it feel like less her at all.
And I see this all the time. There was another wellness practitioner I worked with, and she was talking about like hormone problems and thyroid symptoms on her website.
And I was like, wait a second. I was like, I have a master's degree, a thriving business. Like I consider myself a smart, well-educated person, but honestly, I could not tell you where your thyroid is.
I mean, I think I could, I think it's somewhere in your neck area, but the point is like her as an expert.
Oh yeah, clearly it's a thyroid issue, but me as not an expert in that particular industry. Reading it, I don't know what a thyroid issue is.
I don't know what a thyroid is or does. If you're not an expert in health and wellness, the average everyday person, even if you got an A in your biology classes, does not necessarily know what that is.
That is why you are the expert. That is why they likely need to hire you. So we need to explain in the copy concisely wording that is going to relate to your ideal audience who is likely not the expert that you are.
And this is why having a copywriter is so great because we can see these things that you don't necessarily see.
Like you don't like this is just normal for you. You think everyone knows what you do, but we don't.
So a copywriter can really help you see that. It's something that's in your blind spot. And even if a copywriter on retainer is out of reach for you right now, Copy Clarity Club is the best way that you can get these eyeballs on your words.
Um, without necessarily having to hire a full-time copywriter. Okay, so let's move on to number four. The last thing that we changed was the CTA.
Um, it was originally focused on features and not on the outcomes. So her original call to action was about what the offer included, videos, PDFs, et cetera.
And I get it because you just worked really hard on creating this course or this program and you want to show off everything that's inside.
But what your, your ideal audience actually wants to read is how it's going to transform their parenting experience or their experience.
In this case, it was their parenting experience. So what we did is that we wrote the CTA to highlight the emotional and practical transformation.
So for this particular client, it was to feel empowered to make confident decisions for your child's health. And this is the power of a 24-hour conversion copywriting critique.
It's not just this quick edit. It's not about the grammar. It's really a strategic reframe designed to increase conversion rates through messaging clarity, preserve the brand voice while enhancing resonance, and build the trust and connection in every single line.
Every word is so intentional. And the result is that she felt seen, supported, and finally proud to hit publish.
In her own words, this is what she said. She wrote to me in our Slack channel, Megan, you are brilliant.
You really did get into my brain and help me say the things I want to say. Not only better than me, but it sounds like me.
And this is the core of ethical, values-aligned conversion copywriting. We didn't have to manipulate or do anything salesy or weird or gimmicky.
It just reflects, clarifies, and connects. And she already had the right people knocking on her door. We just needed to show them that, yes, this is the right thing for them.
So what changed? Well, What We're still gathering long-term sales data for this. The shift was immediate. She stopped second-guessing her message, her content aligned with her values and her audience's needs, and she became confident in promoting her offer.
Because conversion copywriting isn't just about getting more clicks, though obviously, yes, that is a part of it. But what you also need is to say what you actually mean in a way that lands.
It turns your quiet expertise into clear and compelling content. So again, we don't have to dumb it down so that people understand, like you're still the expert and we want to reflect you that way, but it's more of a, I consider my job more of like I'm a translator of your expertise into a way that your people can understand it.
And then building a bridge between your passion and your sales, because you are so good at what you do, you have this desire to make an even bigger impact.
And the way that we're going to do that without burning out is to get more clients knocking on your door by your content due.
Doing the selling primary, like the majority of the selling for you 24-7. All right. So this specific case study, like I said, it came from CopyClarity Club, which is my membership that offers weekly feedback and fast turnaround critiques on your sales copy, landing pages, email marketing, and really any marketing or copy that you want to submit.
