In a marketing world overrun with formulas, performance metrics, and pressure to stay on brand, today I am going to share with you the most underrated platform for authentic marketing right now.

And it is the breath of fresh air we didn't know we needed. No experts are claiming authority over the right way to post or how to beat the algorithm.

It is just a blank space to share your real thoughts in real time, full permission to show up exactly as you are.

It is not about vanity metrics or perfect posts. It is just real, unfiltered, human-first connection. And that is the kind of marketing authenticity today's audience is really craving.

I know. I I am as well. And that's exactly what this platform delivers. And the wild part is it's not some flashy new strategy and it's definitely not trying harder.

In fact, I'm trying softer. I am simply showing up as myself without overthinking it. And truly, it is so wonderful.

And it's working in ways I didn't expect either. Since showing up consistently on threads, yes, threads, that is Meta's version of Twitter, everything else in my marketing has gotten easier.

I have booked aligned speaking gigs, built relationships that didn't require a pitch, and turned off-the-cuff posts and just thoughts in my brain into reels, email content, and podcast ideas.

Because it's a quick and easy way to test what is working. And I'm going to go exactly into detail of how I do that in this episode.

So if you have felt creatively tapped, stuck... in performance mode or quietly just like dreading your next piece of content, this is for you.

I'm going to share why Threads is the go-to platform for real-time connection, how to repurpose content from it effortlessly, and what makes it a secret weapon for authentic marketing in 2025.

And this, I believe, is so necessary because traditional content strategy isn't necessarily working anymore. And here's what I mean by that.

So like content calendars, Instagram grids, SEO-heavy blog posts, like for sure all have their place. Like that's something I support my clients with, so I'm not knocking it at all.

But I think oftentimes they can leave heart-centered, mission-driven entrepreneurs feeling stuck in this performance mode. And thinking things like, I feel like I'm shouting into the void, and like, what's the point of putting all this effort into creating content?

I don't have time. don't You plan another polished reel or shoot content for it or get ready for the day in order to take content.

And I just want to write like myself and still get clients. You know, those are all desires I've heard entrepreneurs say.

And I'm thinking like both on my in-person and in-person and online, like this is what I am hearing. And the solution is not a new marketing funnel.

Most of the time, like it's just a new space to show up. So if you are still clinging to old marketing strategies, you might be experiencing a brand messaging disconnect.

And this is going to break it all down. So let's get into the real reason why Threads works and why it's actually a good marketing tool in 2025.

So let's get one thing straight first. A big following doesn't necessarily mean a connected one. And Now, more than ever, you can have thousands of followers and still feel like no one is hearing you and you're just shouting into the void.

That's why Threads feels different. It's community over metrics. And we know that superfans drive sales and opportunities. It's relationships that are really moving the needle.

I see that playing out every single day, both in my own business, with colleagues, everywhere. And I know I have personally had more DM convos, podcast invites, speaker inquiries come from Threads than any other platform in 2025.

Seriously. And not one of those started with a post that took me more than 30 seconds to create. That's what I'm talking about.

It started with a simple comment, a reply, a, hey, me too. Something as simple as that. There was no performing.

It just resonated and like everything shifts. It So I often scroll my top performing threads to see what's hitting, and then I'll expand on that.

And I'm going to go more into detail that in just a minute here. But this is what authentic marketing really looks like today is you're paying attention to the real conversations that are already happening and using those to guide what you create next.

You're not thinking of new ideas out of the blue. It's coming from actual data and actual conversations that are happening in the marketplace, and threads is such a quick, easy, free way to get in on that.

So I love threads for authentic, relationship-based marketing because there's no pressure to perform. Unlike other platforms, threads does not reward perfection.

It rewards presence, showing up, interacting. And it's real conversations, comments, replies, me-too moments. They create community, not... Just content.

I'm actually connecting with people there on more than just business to business. It really does feel like more human to human.

I'm connecting with the humans behind the business, which is so refreshing. And then I get instant feedback too. I can test ideas, content ideas very quickly to see what resonates without taking like 30 minutes or an hour or more to create a reel, without creating hours of content planning and like seeing what sticks.

I can test and iterate so much faster with threads. And then it's easy repurposing. I can look back, see what's working and take that single thread and expand on it into an email or turn it, or know that it'll actually be worthwhile to spend my time turning it into a reel.

Or a lot of people have questions and then I'll turn that into a podcast episode and answer their questions more in depth on the episode and invite them into that.

So threads is awesome. It's I. I don't love social media, which is no secret, but threads, like, I'm down with threads, and I think more people should be on it.

So, and something I wish more marketers talked about is that, like, the magic isn't in your post. I think that's obviously important, but it's also what happens after that.

Like, did it generate conversations, DMs, comments, one-on-one responses? That's where the real ROI is happening, and I love that.

Threads just makes those moments super easy. You don't need to plan this DM strategy or slide into someone's inbox with a pitch.

You just reply. Ask a follow-up question. Like, be human. Share a personal story. And relationships just scale differently, and Threads makes genuine relationships so much easier.

So, if you are creatively tapped and, like, tired of overthinking your posts, craving more connection and not just followers, and really just wanting to...

If you more like you in your marketing and recover your voice, then Threads is a great place to be to just start doing that.

And again, not overthinking it, not making it be perfect, like literally just have a thought and share it on Threads and that's it.

That's the strategy. So, and if you're like, yes, this is really resonating with me. I love that it's working for you.

I want it to work for me too. I have a whole nother blog, I think it was episode 50.

Um, I have it linked in the show notes, in the blog, in the show notes, um, on building a marketing strategy that allows room for rest.

And that is really a must read. It really pairs well with what we're talking about today. It's not Threads specific.

It's, um, other ways that you, uh, marketing can allow for rest. So check that one out in the blog, uh, which is linked in the show notes.

Okay. So how can we use Threads to create this authentic marketing without more work, um, and, and really to stand.

And Out. Because I think too many platforms train us to lead with our offers, our outcomes, our wins, and like, for sure, like you for sure should be sharing your testimonials, the results that you get clients, like, don't get me wrong here, that is a great way to market.

But I just love that Threads invites you to lead with your humanity. And that is really where the brand loyalty begins.

So I use Threads to talk about both business and life. Like, sometimes my business posts pop off, but honestly, a lot of times it's also like about like gardening or motherhood or other things that are going on in my life, just like thoughts that I'm having, personal development type stuff that I'm into, ideas that maybe I'm like noodling on but aren't ready for a sales page.

It's like a test lab and an easy way to just like coffee chat without having a call on your calendar.

So So It is so good to just post a quick thought, like no editing, just post what's on my mind, whether that's business, life, whatever, watch for reactions.

Did people reply, like, or share? And then if and when they do, repurpose those posts with the most interactions.

Turn those moments into reels. Record yourself expanding on the idea. Turn it into your newsletter. Add a story and a lesson.

Expand it into a podcast episode and use that thought as your anchor theme. So it's not waiting on inspiration for content ideas.

It is a system that you can capture your brilliance that you're already sharing, things that you're already thinking about just as you go about your day.

It's not a separate, like, thing that you need, an event that you need to have on your calendar. It's just as you're going about your day.

And so these, like, human first, like posts and connections, that... It's what builds the trust that makes your business offers land later on once you have that relationship.

And it's great quality control, too, to have that human conversation first, to know that they are even a person that you would want to work with, especially as a service provider.

So I love that this humanness is such a breath of fresh air, especially in an increasingly AI world. And I will say, there are definitely some people using ChatGPT to even literally write their threads for them.

You see it everywhere. People are even using ChatGPT to write a comment on LinkedIn, which is wild to me.

Like, we can't even do that anymore? But that's a whole other can of worms. And again, AI is not bad.

It is a tool that I use. But I think that everyone, so many people, really appreciate this humanity first and why Threads, I think, is doing so well.

Is because people are just being human on it. And that's what marketing authenticity really means to me is like, you're simply being the human your audience wants to work with.

Like, let's keep it simple. So the best podcast swaps, partnerships, client relationships, like they all started on threads with conversations that started with a connection before collaboration.

Sometimes they had nothing to do with business. Honestly, a lot of time, it's like, I'll share like about like, I grew zinnias this year in my garden, the first time I ever planted a flower.

And like, there was so much encouragement for me, or I shared how like, we didn't have to buy a single tomato this summer, because our tomatoes in our garden just produced so much.

And I can walk back there barefoot every day and like just snip off some fresh tomatoes to throw in my salad or make a sauce or whatever it is.

Um, and again, this is just like nothing to do with business, but I connected with other business owners. In this way.

And like, I would never make a whole reel about that on Instagram. But it's just, again, such a simple way to show up as a whole person and allow the aligned business to follow that.

So I am all about how can we make things easier? How can we make marketing simpler? And I have a whole case study on how one power hour session turned into $6,000 from an effective email campaign that we brainstormed.

And I think it was like, we just half wrote it and outlined. We wrote some emails, we outlined the rest.

And then she took it from there and it turned into $6,000 for her, just based on our one hour session together.

So again, my point is, we can keep it simple and just like, I am all about finding those small things that are going to give you so much more ROI.

Okay, so, and I also love that Threads is different from Instagram and LinkedIn. It is a lot lower stakes.

It You don't have to get into Canva. Most people don't want you to repurpose your reels, your photos on there.

It's really just text only, very quick posts, no filters needed. Again, it's just, it's as simple as it can possibly get.

Like if you're taking more than 30 seconds to post, you're overthinking it. Um, and higher engagement, like it threads just encourages replies and conversations.

It's not just a like, um, or a mini chat comment that doesn't actually really mean anything. People are actually having real conversations over there.

And it's even though threads, I've been on it for, I think probably over a year now. Um, I'll have to go back and check, but it's still early.

It feels early over there. Still, there's no threads experts or rigid rules yet. Like there's Instagram experts, there's LinkedIn experts, but I haven't yet to come across a threads expert.

So you get to shape how you show up. And I love that it's just this asynchronous virtual coffee chat that can turn into your next client, collaborator, or idea bank for content creation.

And this is one of the ways that I love balancing content creation without burning out. I actually have a whole other episode on three tips that you can apply right now.

Again, that is linked in the blog in the show notes for you as well. All right. And then I am...

So do you remember when Instagram used to be fun? Threads is fun. It's real, it's fast, and it's... It's small enough to feel intimate, like a room full of smart, thoughtful people just tossing out ideas over coffee.

It's actually, the algorithm is still really great at picking up like what I'm interested in and showing me like things that I actually want to see and people I actually want to connect with.

So it doesn't feel like just another social media platform that you have to post on or show up on.

To me, it doesn't feel like that at all. It just feels like a space where marketing feels human again.

Ideas become assets. It tells me like what is actually worth spending my time on creating more about and connections that fuel content as well.

So I am all about, again, how does authenticity turn into strategy? How can we really double down on just like being who we are and letting that be the most profitable thing?

And I love that. It's not just me. We had Holly Haynes on the show. She is fantastic. And she actually doubled her revenue by owning her brand voice.

And we have a whole podcast. Last episode with her as well. She is so generous in what she shares in that episode, like real data from her actual, like very much thriving business.

And again, that is linked in the blog and the show notes as well. Very much worth your time to check that out.

You guys, I pack the show notes, the blog and the show notes full of so many epic resources. So definitely pop over there as soon as we finish here.

So I really want to encourage you to take advantage of that. Show up, share a thought, start a thread, follow up with someone.

You might be surprised at what happens when you stop posting for performance and start posting for connection. Truly, it's very low lift.

Go for it and try it for even just 30 days and see how it works for you. I really want this to feel like you again.

So if you're disconnected from your content, if the pressure to be strategic is suffocating your creativity, and if you're craving real relationships instead of.

Just chasing those vanity metrics. Threads might be the place where you need to be. It's where you can find your voice again.

It's where connection thrives. And it's where your next opportunity might be waiting in a comment or a conversation. And Threads makes it so easy for you to find your people.

And it's basically effortless. I have a thought. I whip out my phone. I type it into the app and press post.

That is it. Again, 30 seconds or less. So, and then instead of scrolling for passive entertainment, I'm joining conversations that actually give me life that I actually want to be a part of.

So here is your permission slip to ditch the pressure, embrace the real, and let Threads remind you why you started your business and your marketing in the first place to truly connect, serve, and show up as you.

If you are craving a more human, low-pressure way to share your message and connect with your audience. Might be exactly what you need.

This is where, again, where I post thoughts before they come emails, reels, or podcast episodes, things that take a little bit more time.

It is where I test those ideas, build relationships, and show up without the pressure to perform. It's literally me just being me.

And if that sounds like the kind of marketing space you have been looking for and craving to, I invite you to just come hang out with me on threads.

My handle's literally at MeganKachigan, my name. The link is in the show notes as well. And go, and even just to watch me apply what we talked about today in action.

I think that could be so helpful as well.
