Heartbeats & Help: Saving Lives with the Bermuda Red Cross
Dear Listeners,
Every year June 1st -7th National CRP (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Awareness Week is observed. The aim of this observance is to highlight how CPR saves lives and the importance of learning to use an AED. We know that health emergencies can occur at any given time but having people in the community trained in CPR, AED and First aide can save lives while we wait for emergency services to arrive. Those few minutes of someone using CPR or an AED could mean life or death in some cases. It's important to be prepared, so even if you do not work in caregiving or services that require it, get certified in CPR, AED and First Aide today!
