Today I wan to echo the words of the Chief Nursing Officer in recognitions of our nurses. Please join us as we acknowledge and celebrate 12th of May as International Nurses Day in recognition of Florence Nightingale. The International Council of Nurses theme 2025 is “Caring for nurses strengthens economies”. This most noble profession provides a service that connects heads, hands and hearts in the daily work, irrespective of the role or position held. Nurses are the most valuable asset in the health system and we are called upon to advance the “Caring for Nurses Agenda”. This means caring for those who are caring for everyone else. Please take a moment today to share your appreciation for the nurses who rise everyday, or night for those on shifts, to answer the call of duty.
