Dear Listeners,

What is your earliest memory of food? What is your favorite cuisine?

As we near the end of National Nutrition Month think about how food connects you to your roots, your family, your community, traditions, resolving conflicts, to health and more. All of these things influence the foods we eat and the relationship we have with food overall. This all boils down to the fact that the food we eat influences our health outcomes.

This episode of Bermuda Health-Abets, a podcast where we discuss everything from A to Z on healthy living, is dubbed Food Connects Us: Food and Culture. #empoweringinformingandmotivating Bermuda residents to live well.

Our guest this episode is Dr. Teneika Eve PhD, Senior Lecturer at Bermuda College. During this episode Dr. Eve talks her earliest experience with food, some aspects that make some cuisines unique to Bermuda, the cultures and backgrounds that have influences Bermuda cuisine, strategies for eating healthier cultural dishes, and why food is important.
