February is Oral Health Month. Did you know that oral health is linked to mental health and overall health? Research shows a correlation between oral health and cognitive conditions like dementia, and an association between chronic disease like coronary and respiratory diseases, stroke, and diabetes (Skallevold et. al., 2023). Bermuda, taking care of your oral health is taking care of you overall health.

During this episode Dr. Daley talks about the importance of oral hygiene, dental disease prevention methods, and the connection between mental health and oral health. As we progress as a society we learn more everyday but it is what we do with the knowledge and information that make a difference. It is imperative to visit your dentist as recommended by them and know your oral health status. #healthymouthhealthymind
