Cervical Cancer Awareness : Detection, Prevention, Treatment and Resources
Dear Listeners,
January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and according to the International Agency for Research on Cancer - WHO, cervical cancer is mainly caused by persistent infection with HPV viruses. The good news is that it can be prevented and/or treated with HPV vaccination, screening and early detection. This year's aim for cervical cancer awareness is to "highlight the importance of increasing access to HPV vaccines, regular screening, and state-of-the-art treatment for cervical cancer in its early stages" (WHO EMR). As we observe Cervical Cancer Awareness consider how you can contribute to decreasing the rate of cervical cancer, talk to your doctor and get informed.
This episode of Bermuda Health-Abets, a podcast where we discuss everything from A to Z on healthy living, is focused on Cervical Cancer Awareness : Detection, Prevention, Treatment and Resources. #empoweringinformingandmotivating Bermuda residents to live well.
