WE MOVE MOUNTAINS
Episode 46: The #1 Reason Movement Still Feels Hard (Even When You’re Doing All the Right Things)
You know, sometimes, before I go on stage, I have these moments of utter, complete vulnerability, where I just don’t know if I’m going to fall flat on my behind, or end up taking people with me into an incredible journey.
And I think it’s in those moments that these the following really, really help me out:
And reminds me what I - all of us are - truly capable of.
I know I might sometimes sound like this optimist cheerleader, but I’m not.
I’m just speaking from the experiences I see around me, of people managing to overcome difficulties and thrive despite and through it.
So I wanted to share with you one of the things I think we struggle with the most:
Our feeling of capability, our feeling of worth. And if you ever felt incapable (who hasn’t?) you probably know exactly what I’m talking about….
And here’s where I think it gets really interesting, and so overlooked… It’s often when we’re met with a physical challenge - that we quickly land into the belief that we’re just incapable - that our body’s just built ‘wrong’.
And that’s such a passive place. It always lands you right back into square 1 of that physical problem, with no solution in sight.
Because if that’s the story we’re telling ourselves - then that becomes the reality of your body.
So how do we move beyond that?
I recorded a podcast episode that I really want to share with you, on how to completely re-write this story.
Because what if the way everything is set up, is what’s giving you that feeling?
And what if you could meet it all completely differently?
What would become possible for you then?
