In this episode, we’re delighted to sit down with Amber Cowburn Armoogum, Founder of Working Well, Global Head of Wellbeing at the British Council, and Founding trustee of the Invictus Trust, as well as two-time Ted Talker, and passionate (and award-winning) workplace wellbeing trainer.
Amber shares all things wellbeing, From her own Family experiences, and Founding of the Invictus Trust, into why she continued on the path to supporting others, in many different spaces and sectors, with their mental health and wellbeing.
We discuss why authentic workplace wellbeing is so important, and needs to be at the Foundation of what you do, not just the ‘sparkly’ stuff on top. And, Furthering the topic of ‘sparkly’ we unwrap the Festive season, how a time for joy can often Feel the opposite, and why connection (and sometimes disconnection) is so important, allowing yourself time to breathe, while also reaching out to your loved ones, and those in need.
Amber also brilliantly breaks down ‘stress’, why stress in its own right is not a positive or a negative thing, how it represents motivation, purpose, duty, and how without it, you can feel lacking in Focus and drive. But, how too much of it is the thing that tips the balance, and can lead to harm on your mental and physical health.
