26 – Film: From passion to production – building a successful video business and reaching millions
In this episode, we got to dive into the world of Film with Sam Oatey, founder of Oatey Media.
We start by taking it back to the beginning, 2011 to be exact, talking about how Sam got into the Film industry, even though his Family were heavily into Farming. Once he discovered his passion for Film, he knew he could do something with it.
Sam now works nationally and internationally, creating video for businesses, brands and corporate clients, as well as awareness projects like the viral video for Man Down which reached six million views in just a week!
As well as the successes, we chat about challenges Sam has Faced along the way, how imposter syndrome has sometimes made him question himself, and how Finding a healthy work-life balance has been one of his biggest hurdles.
Sam has some really valuable advice for those just starting out, and reflects on the key lessons he's learned throughout his journey. Click play now!
