27 – Fast growth: how a kitchen startup became a million-pound brand
In this episode, we got to sit down with Tom Woodley, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Cornish Company.
We’re sure you’ve already heard about The Cornish Company, but you might not have heard the incredible story behind it… yet!
We start at the beginning, how The Cornish Company was founded just over four years ago, during the pandemic lockdown, with Tom and his brother, James. Having always had the idea of creating a Cornish ecommerce company, they knew they had to go for it while online shopping was booming.
From their dad’s kitchen, to the lounge, to the garage, they grew and grew in such a short space of time. Now, they’ve settled into their 18,000 square foot warehouse, ready to deliver more Cornish goodness to your door!
But how did they start this hugely successful business from scratch? What were the challenges? And what are the highlights in building such a fast-growing business in this beautiful part of the world? You’ll have to listen to find out!
