Hey hey Sis, summer's coming to a close. The evenings are starting to get cooler. The sun is gonna set earlier. And there's that little shift in the air, that reminder, that time. It keeps moving. And maybe for you, season didn't bring the love story you were hoping for.
You went on dates that didn't go anywhere. You watched other people get engaged. You prayed, you believed, and here you are still waiting. If you feel tired, if you feel like hope has gotten heavy to carry, sis, this episode is for you. I want to start by saying this. Weariness and love
doesn't mean you've failed. It means you've been in the fight. The Bible says in Galatians let us not become weary and doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Sometimes the hardest thing isn't believing God can answer your prayers. It's believing he will when the weeks and months keep rolling by. And when summer turns to fall, it's easy to feel like another year is slipping through your fingers. You start to wonder, is this just not going to happen for me? I want you to know you are not the only woman who has felt the sweat and you are not the first woman
God has met right in the middle of that weariness. I want to give you some biblical encouragement today and show you how God meets the weary. Think about Hannah in 1st Samuel 1. She prayed for years for a child and year after year, nothing changed. She was mocked, misunderstood, and still she poured her heart out to God.
And then in his time, not hers, God gave her the desire of her heart. Or Ruth, she wasn't just waiting. She had lost her husband, left her country. She was working in a field just to eat. She could have said, forget it, I'm done. But she stayed faithful to the path God put in front of her. And in the course of doing the next right thing,
She met Boaz. God specializes in meeting women who feel like the season has passed them by. He doesn't just restore what was lost, he redeems the time. I want to remind you of Ecclesiastes 3 11 that says, he has made everything beautiful in its time.
And that means everything, not just your wedding day, not just the moment you meet your husband. Your season of waiting is beautiful to God because everything he does is beautiful. He makes no mistakes. The same way he brought beauty, love, accomplishment and redemption into other areas of your life. He will bring beauty, fulfilled beauty into this part of your life too, sis.
Psalm 139.16 says, all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. That means he knows who your future husband is. He's not surprised. He's not taken aback. Like, my goodness, what's going on in her life? Where's her husband? Did something go wrong? No. He knows exactly what he's doing. Psalm 138.
8 says the Lord will fulfill his purpose for me your love ⁓ lord endures forever sis believed the truth his love is overarching everything you are already chosen you are already loved and he will fulfill his purpose in you including your love story
So here's what I want to remind you of as summer comes to an end. The calendar is not your enemy. The weather changing is not a countdown clock on your love story. God is not bound by anybody's timeline. The same God who made the sun stand still in Joshua 10 can bring your husband into your life at the exact moment that will give him
the most glory and you the most joy. And sometimes right before a breakthrough, there's a temptation to stop showing up to retreat, to protect yourself, to stop putting yourself out there. But this is when faith becomes more than just a belief. It becomes an action. Keep showing up. Keep praying.
Keep taking the steps because if you give up on love, you're giving up on one of the most beautiful parts of God's design for your life. So here are some practical ways to carry hope into this new season on the calendar. First, refresh your vision. Write down what you're believing God for in a husband and in your marriage.
not just the traits, but the life you want to build together. Go back to your dream and flesh it out. Fully see what it is you're hoping for. The more specific you are, the more you remind yourself why you're waiting. Proverbs 16.3 says, commit to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish your plans. When you refresh your vision, commit it to him.
and trust Him to establish the path that leads you there. Second, do something new. Sometimes the smallest changes opens the biggest doors. Join a different small group, try a new hobby, start attending a different service at a different church. God works through emotion. Sis, if you've been putting off refreshing your wardrobe,
buying a new pair of boots, getting a mini pedicis, now is the time. I want you to do something new that you've been putting off just because it's good for you, just because it makes you smile. And then lastly, anchor yourself in God's promises. When doubt creeps in, speak scripture out loud. Psalm 27, 14 says, wait for the Lord.
Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. You're not just waiting for a man. You're waiting with God.
So if you're listening to this with that ache in your chest, feeling like you've waited long enough, I want you to hear me. You are not behind, you are not forgotten, and you are not out of time. Your story can change in a single conversation, on a single day, in a single moment that God ordains. And you don't have to know how.
You just have to stay in position. Proverbs 16, three says, commit to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish your plans. Sis, do you want to know what committing to the Lord whatever you do actually looks like? It looks like taking decisive, discerning steps, not staying stuck, spinning your wheels.
It means not doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Since I used to be an engineer at major engineering companies, I got skilled in providing simple solutions to big problems. And I've done that here with Christian dating. I help single, godly women meet and marry amazing Christian men. And I want to help you.
If you're ready to move forward with a clear plan to take intentional action instead of waiting for love to magically appear, you can apply for private coaching using the link in the show notes. Together, we'll commit your dating journey to the Lord and trust Him to establish the steps that lead you to the man He has for you. I want this to be your season.
Where hope doesn't just stay alive, it becomes your reality. Let's get you married, sis.
