A king dismissed his queen. A search began across the empire for someone new. Hundreds of women were brought into the palace and in the middle of it all, a young, ordinary woman named Esther. She didn't have power, she didn't have status, but she had wisdom. She had strategy. And when the king saw her, he was so captivated.
He placed the crown on her head and later so moved by her presence, he said, what is it you desire? Even up to half my kingdom, it shall be given to you. Hey, hey sis, welcome back to the Kingdom Bride series where we open up the pages of scripture and discover the blueprints of divine romance and legacy. These are not
fairy tales. These are real stories of real women. And each one is a reminder that God still writes love stories for his daughters today. Last time we walked through the fields with Ruth. Today we're stepping into the palace with Esther. The woman who knew
how to captivate a king. Esther's story is found in the book of Esther at the 10 chapter drama full of palace intrigue, beauty contest, betrayal, and deliverance. She was a Jewish orphan raised by her cousin Mordecai in exile under the Persian Empire. By all accounts, Esther had no
claim to greatness. She wasn't royalty. She wasn't wealthy. She wasn't powerful. And yet she was chosen. When King Xerxes dismissed Queen Vashti, he launched a kingdom wide search for a new queen. The most beautiful young women were brought into the palace. Esther was among them. Now, pause with me here. This isn't just any love story.
This is a king's love story. King Xerxes ruled the most powerful empire on earth at the time, Persia. Stretching from India to Ethiopia, he was a man of immense wealth, stature, and authority. His word could build cities or destroy them.
He commanded armies, he held nations in his hands, and that man, this King of Kings in the natural realm, looked at Esther and was so captivated, he placed a royal crown on her head. This was not an average man. This wasn't a decent man. This was the highest value man imaginable.
in her world and who captivated him. Not the richest woman, not the most powerful, not the most connected, but Esther, a woman of faith, wisdom, and godliness. And I want you to hear me. This isn't just about Esther. It's about you. If Esther could capture the heart of the most powerful man in her world,
then what does that say about the men God is still raising up today for you? The kings of our world may not sit on literal thrones, but they are men of caliber, men of vision, men of faith, men who lead, who build, who protect, who serve God with power and strength. And those men exist.
So if you're struggling to find them, if you've wondered if they're out there, if you've questioned whether men of that quality even walk this earth anymore, let me tell you with absolute clarity, they do. And the difference is specialized knowledge. Esther had it and you had too. Esther knew how to be found.
She wasn't chasing the king. She wasn't performing for attention. She was simply in the right place with the right guidance, prepared in the right way for how God would use her. And that's what so many women miss in dating today. The type of men you want, the type of man you want, the kind of man who is godly, high caliber,
emotionally mature, faithful, and ready to build a marriage, he exists. Why do I know this? Because God is powerful. Because God has faithful sons who love him, who proclaim his truth, who live in holiness and integrity. Don't let the culture convince you otherwise. Don't let your disappointments convince you otherwise.
Don't let statistics convince you otherwise. If God is powerful enough to raise nations, split seas, and resurrect the dead, then he is powerful enough to raise up men of faith. So if you're not finding these men, it's not because they don't exist. It's because you don't yet know where to look. It's not about luck.
It's not about where you live. It's not about what size you are. It's about specialized knowledge. You haven't yet been taught where to be. You haven't yet learned how to recognize them when you cross paths.
Because yes, it is possible you've already brushed shoulders with this type of godly high caliber man, but you didn't recognize what was in front of you. It's possible you crossed paths, but he didn't notice you because you didn't yet know how to stand out in a way that speaks to him. That's not about your worth. That's about specialized knowledge.
And Esther is our example. When Esther entered the palace, she didn't rely on beauty alone.
She relied on wisdom. She found favor with Hegai, the king's eunuch, who oversaw the women. And when the others grabbed up perfumes and jewels, Esther took only what he advised. That specialized knowledge, listening to someone who knew what the king valued, positioned her above the rest. And when she was presented to the king, the room hushed.
candles flickered against golden walls. The scent of incense hung heavy in the air and the king's eyes rusted on her. Scripture says the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women and she won his favor more than any of the others. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen.
This wasn't random. It was strategic. It was specialized knowledge. Esther was in the right place. She moved with guidance. She carried herself with wisdom. And that's what made her captivating.
Esther's story doesn't stop at a crown, though. After she became queen, danger struck for her and her people. A decree was proclaimed across the empire that every Jewish man, woman, and child would be killed. Her people were marked for destruction. Mordecai, her cousin and mentor, came to her with a chilling message.
Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this. Esther realized everything in her life had led to this moment. She knew she had to go to the king, but here was the risk. Approaching him without being summoned was punishable by death. Even as
queen, she could not rush into his presence. So what did she do? She prepared. She fasted. She prayed. And then clothed in a royal robe, she stepped into the throne room with courage. Picture this. Marble floors gleaming, courtiers holding their breath. And then the king extends.
his golden scepter granting mercy. When he asked her what she wanted, she didn't panic. She did not plead. She didn't dump her emotions all at once. Instead, she invited him to a banquet. And then she invited him to another banquet. She created space. She built anticipation. She let him lean in.
Finally, the king, so captivated, so drawn in, leaned forward and said, what is your request? Even up to half my kingdom, it will be given to you. Do you feel the weight of that? This is what happens when a woman knows how to connect with a man in a way he can actually hear. Because here's the truth.
When you know how to speak in the language of a king, he is moved.
And here's the bigger truth. Speaking King's language is specialized knowledge. This is what happens when a woman speaks this way. A man is moved to pursue. He is moved to commit. He is moved to please you.
A king delights in nothing more than pleasing his queen. Why? Because her words create a feeling inside of him. A feeling of fullness, a feeling of action, a feeling of manliness, a feeling of desire. He feels like a king because of her voice. That's the power that comes with specialized knowledge. That's the power of king's language and without it,
Here's what's at stake.
It looks like dating profiles that high caliber men see but swipe past. it looks like an in-person meeting with an amazing man that never goes beyond small talk. It looks like men you were hoping would notice you not pursuing, not committing, not following through.
Not because there aren't good men in existence, not because they aren't interested in marriage, but instead because you haven't learned how to speak in the way that moves them.
Imagine this, two women stand before the same man. One talks in a way that makes him feel pressured, uncertain, confused, and a little bit bored. He pulls back. The other speaks in a way that makes him feel bold, alive, decisive, and very intrigued, and like he wants to rise up and give her the world.
Which one does he pursue? Which one does he commit to? Esther knew the difference. That's why the king acted. That's why he committed. That's why he gave. And that's what you can learn too. Here's the truth. What Esther carried wasn't just beauty. It was specialized knowledge.
She had Mordecai guiding her from outside the palace. She had Hegai advising her inside the palace. She didn't stumble into favor by chance. She was taught where to be, how to move, how to speak. That specialized knowledge gave her an advantage no one else had.
And it's the same with you. The men you want, godly, high caliber, emotionally mature men, they exist. But if you don't know where to meet them, how to recognize them, and how to speak in a way that compels them, you can miss them.
not because you're not worthy, not because he is ungodly, but because without the right specialized knowledge, the moment passes you by. Esther didn't miss her moment. She was ready, she was taught, she was guided, and when her king leaned in, she captivated him. That's what specialized knowledge does. It puts you in the right place, in the right way, at the right time.
So when your King crosses your path, he recognizes you and moves toward you with pursuits and commitment.
So let me ask you,
know where the godly high caliber men are? Do you know how to recognize them? Do you know how to speak so that they recognize you? Or are you still hoping it just works out? Esther didn't hope. She moved with wisdom. And she moved with specialized knowledge. And so can you.
Michelle Joiner (15:15)
Esther didn't win a king by chance. She knew where to be, how to move, how to speak. And when the moment came, she captivated him. That's what most women are missing. The kings of our world, godly, high caliber men of vision, faith, strength, they exist. But
They don't show up wearing crowns. They aren't announced by trumpets. They don't sit on thrones with signs that say, I'm the one, I'm the king that will bless your life. They look like ordinary men. They come humble and without specialized knowledge to recognize them, to unlock and see what's truly inside of them.
You will swipe right past your husband without even knowing it. And even if you do meet him, even if you sense something different about him, if you don't know how to speak his language, King language, the language that moves a man to feel bold and decisive and masculine and ready to pursue,
and full of desire, you'll watch that moment slip away. Not because you aren't worthy, not because he's not worthy,
Michelle Joiner (16:52)
but because no one ever taught you the specialized knowledge to captivate a man like that. Sis, you've come too far to keep waiting. You've proven yourself in your career, you've invested in your future, you are a queen. It's time for you to find your king. There's no reason to waste another year, another five years, another 10 years.
when the secret to captivating your husband is right here.
