Are you feeling stuck in your strength training routine? It might be time to level up with progressive overload! In this episode, I break down what progressive overload is and how you can safely increase weights—starting with small increments (2.5 lbs for upper body, 5-10 lbs for lower body) and using the "drop and finish" method to build strength gradually.
But lifting heavier isn’t the only way to challenge your muscles! I’ll also share how switching up your exercise order, incorporating super sets, and using compound movements can keep your workouts fresh and effective. Plus, we’ll talk about why lifting heavy is important for fighting muscle loss in menopause—but also why it’s crucial to progress at your pace with a well-rounded program that includes balance, core, and pelvic floor work.
