In this episode, I talk openly about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, why I refuse to perform sorrow for a man who weaponized white supremacy, anti-Black racism, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny—and why that honesty matters as we age.

This conversation isn’t about celebrating violence. It’s about naming hypocrisy, setting boundaries, and protecting the people we love. I share how this moment has sparked tough conversations in my own home with my daughters, one who identifies as queer and another who is coming to terms with the risks of moving through the world as a young Black woman.

We’ll also explore:

  • Why white supremacy harms everyone—not just people of color
  • The hypocrisy of selective grief and compassion in our society
  • Why unfriending people online is sometimes a necessary act of boundary-setting
  • How menopause gives us the freedom to speak truth without apology
  • What we can do, individually and collectively, to resist hate without turning to violence

This episode is raw, personal, and unapologetically honest. If it makes you uncomfortable, sit with that. Because midlife isn’t about playing small—it’s about seeing clearly, speaking boldly, and choosing liberation for all.
