Hi Catherine, I have been listening to your podcast for a while now and have enjoyed each and every one! The way you approach each guest is welcoming and thoughtful and you have obviously done a lot of background research and investigation so each episode is not merely a thumbnail sketch but a very interesting deep dive into the life of each guest. My own background began with Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers (old name of club) as a young girl and progressed up through Pony Club. I am taken by the number of your interviewees that have Pony Club as a starting point too. I showed equitation, hunter, jumper and then some adult classes when my daughter took up riding and showing. When she went off to college I expected that was the end of riding for me. However after a twenty odd year gap I serendipitously started again, this time in fox hunting here in Vermont where I’ve lived for 30 plus years. My horse died of systemic lyme and I found myself with a Lusitano/Andalusian cross doing dressage and moving up the levels! All this to say that I resonate with your guests that once a horse girl always a horse girl! It surely does get in your blood and I recognize this in everyone you have had on your podcast. As an interesting note, I was exceptionally interested in the Jen Hamilton episode as she was coaching and riding in Nova Scotia when I lived there.
