Love Needs No Words is a real insight into life raising a child with Special Educational Needs.

Amy and Kirsty - mums to two boys who are diagnosed Autistic share the highs and lows of their lives whilst interviewing brilliant guests along the way.

You will laugh, cry and hopefully feel a sense of security knowing that you are not alone on this journey. Which can sometimes feel very lonely and a little bit scary, especially at first.

Love Needs No Words got to the finals of the Quill Podcast Awards 2025 after being whittled down from thousands of entries and so has been recognised for its attention to detail and unique content.

Hi 👋🏼 I am Amy; mum to Alex and Isabelle ✨ and co-chatterer on the Love Needs No Words podcast with my lovely friend Kirsty.

🎙️ I started doing the podcast with Kirsty in July 2024. The idea came about after Alex was diagnosed with Autism at the beginning of that year and i frantically looked for a podcast with parents talking about the ups and downs of raising a child with additional needs with no luck. So along with Kirsty who also had a huge passion to do this we wanted to share our journeys as SEN parents to help others. I am really enjoying doing it and am so pleased that we are able to help others in a similar position.

☀️ A little fact, I love travelling and seeing new places, love a new restaurant to try and am at my happiest being around friends and family 😀

Hi 👋🏼 I am Kirsty; mum to Max and Eva ✨ and co-chatterer on the The Needs No Words podcast with my lovely friend Amy.

🎙️ I started doing the podcast with Amy in July 2024 to share our journeys as SEN parents, and it’s been so much fun! I have loved it!

♾️ Max was diagnosed with autism in 2024, but the journey to get to that point has been an uphill struggle 🥵 EHCP applications, medical appointments etc… there is just SO much paperwork and so SO much fighting. That’s definitely been the thing I was most naive about before we started this journey.

🍁 A little fact, I love autumn the most, but Christmas holds a special place. I first met my husband on Christmas Day ☃️
