Dr. Molenaar is a tax adviser for Dutch and international artists, sportspersons, and companies. He is a partner at All Arts Tax Advisers in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and a Senior Researcher at the Erasmus School of Law in Rotterdam, where he also earned his PhD.

He has authored the book “Taxation of International Performing Artistes” and has contributed to numerous publications, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

Dr. Rekwest is the Head of Tax Treaty Negotiations for the Government of Curaçao. 

In 2022, she defended her PhD thesis on ‘A tax treaty policy for Curaçao’ at Leiden University. Her research addressed the difficulties that Curaçao is experiencing in building its tax treaty network. She presented the way Curaçao should design a tax treaty policy as an evaluation framework, which is intended as an advice for Curaçao. Shortly after her PhD defense, she was appointed chair of the Tax Treaty Taskforce for Curaçao and the Taskforce International Tax Compliance of Curaçao. The task force is set up to advise the Curaçao Minister of Finance on compliance with international tax standards, particularly in connection with the OECD’s Pillar 1 and Pillar 2. 

She is the president of the IFA Branch Curaçao-Aruba-Sint Maarten. She has published several papers in tax journals, and chairs the Caribbean Tax Law Journal.

As a renowned international tax expert for over 30 years, John Hayes has advised major global corporations and high net worth individuals in developing tax strategies to align with the increasing complexities of a global tax system.
He has led many high-level negotiations in cross-border tax disputes, often involving competent authorities, in agreeing multilateral settlements for major corporations. John has also advised on the effects of anti-tax avoidance measures from the OECD BEPS initiative, and assisted clients in managing increased scrutiny of global tax authorities. Previously, he was the partner in charge of PwC UK’s Inbound International Tax structuring practice in London and the lead European tax partner for several major US MNCs. Dr. Parada is a Reader in Tax Law at King’s College London with an LLM and PhD. Previously, he was an Associate Professor in Tax Law and Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice at the University of Leeds. He is an independent tax policy advisor for governments and international organisations. He has participated in legislative tax reforms worldwide, such as the interest limitation rules in Indonesia and the OECD Pillar 2 in Curaçao and Suriname. His research focuses on BEPS, tax treaty application, and the digitalisation of the economy. He has authored several books and academic articles, and he is a regular speaker at conferences worldwide. His academic work has been cited by the US Congressional Research Service and by the EU Advocate General. He has collaborated with the ICIJ in tax avoidance investigations, including “Pandora Papers”. He has been recognised in the TaxCOOP 35 Leaders of the Future in Taxation list. 

Attorney Nana Ama Sarfo is a contributing editor for Tax Notes. She writes technical articles on various tax topics and has profiled leading figures in international tax, including Grace Perez-Navarro, Michael Lennard, Margaret Hodge, and Pawel Gruza. She is a frequent moderator and panelist for various organizations, including the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, Tax Executives Institute, Baruch Zicklin School of Business, and Public Services International. She has presented before the US IRS, been interviewed by outlets like BBC News, and quoted in Financial Post and Global Finance Magazine. Her work has been cited in academic articles and by the UK Parliament. Before joining Tax Analysts (2017), she was managing editor at Thomson Reuters. A licensed attorney, she holds a BA in History, English writing, and Africana studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from Columbia Law School.

Orly Mazur is a Professor of Law at SMU Dedman School of Law and a leading scholar on the intersection of tax law and emerging technologies. Her work examines how artificial intelligence, automation, and digital platforms are transforming tax administration and policy, with recent publications exploring AI-driven government systems, the taxation of robots, and technology-focused reforms to federal and state tax regimes.

Mazur’s research appears in top tax and law journals and has been covered by outlets such as Bloomberg Law, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and The Dallas Morning News. She frequently speaks at national and international conferences on AI, digital taxation, and the future of tax administration. Mazur earned her LL.M in Taxation from NYU and graduated summa cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law. She is both a licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant.
