Ali Godfrey

Ali founded Generation Arts in 2012, supporting hundreds of marginalized young people access acting and theatre training and progress to drama school and acting careers. She is a director, teacher, and facilitator with an MA in Applied Theatre from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a PGCE in Drama. Ali is a Professor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and teaches at Royal Central. She co-founded 'Sharing Voices,' a theatre project for Tsunami children in Sri Lanka, and has led numerous youth drama projects and directed productions at venues such as The Arcola, The Yard, and Lyric Hammersmith. As Head of Drama in London schools, she significantly improved Drama GCSE results and produced Drama INSET courses. She managed NYT Playing Up, achieving 100% success for NEET young people, and was a supernumerary in the West End production of An Inspector Calls directed by Stephen Daldry. Ali is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

Unique Spencer

Unique Spencer, a working-class actor from London, trained at Arts Ed and initially at Generation Arts, where she now serves as a Peer Facilitator and Mentor. She has left an indelible mark in both stage and screen, gaining recognition for her role as Abby in Netflix's "Top Boy" and her original performance in "The Beast of Blue Yonder," including the powerful monologue "TELESCOPE." Notably, Unique is actively involved with Access all Areas, a theatre company dedicated to training future artists who are learning disabled and autistic, advocating for more accessible work environments in TV, film, and theatre. Her diverse credits also include Cherry in "The Night Before Christmas" at Southwark Playhouse and Ngozi in Clean Break's 40th Anniversary production at Donmar Warehouse. Unique continues to showcase her versatility and dedication, establishing herself as a compelling talent in the entertainment industry.
