There's a biblical way to lose weight, so you can be present with your family, enjoy meal prep and eating in balance without shame and calorie counting.
Hey there friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach, encourager and friend. I gained 100 pounds in my late twenties and struggled for years to get it off. Seven years ago I found a basic system that worked and has helped me lose over 90 of those pounds. I’ve been working with women in online fitness and nutrition ever since.
In this podcast, I'll teach you how to:
• Lose Weight in a Way that honors God without obsessing about the scale
• Meal Plan and Prep for Your Family
• Follow a MACRO based plan that allows you to eat the foods you love.
• Recognize and pray through triggers keeping you stuck.
• I’ll help you Plan your week and schedule your self-care time.
• Cultivate a spirit of self-discipline in your workouts you actually enjoy.
It's time to give God your health journey and watch Him make you new, from the inside, OUT. You’ve got this sister, now go grab your pre-workout or third coffee like me and let’s chat!

Celebrating Wins: Progress Over Perfection
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Philippians 1:6 reminds us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
Every small step forward is worthy of praise—because God sees your faithfulness.
Each step in the right direction is a building block toward lasting change.
Here are a few ways you can live this out today:
- Journal Wins: Track achievements daily or weekly
- Reward Yourself: Non-food rewards like a walk, favorite coffee, or quiet time
- Reflect on Scripture: Thank God for faithful steps
- Share Progress: Encourage a friend or accountability partner
- Focus on Growth: Small consistent wins > perfect adherence
Here are a few questions I’d like you to answer this week:
- What wins can I celebrate?
- How have I grown spiritually and physically this month?
- How can I focus on faithfulness rather than perfection?
“Lord, thank You for every step forward, help me to focus on You Lord and the path You’re leading me down. Help me to break unhealthy habits of perfectionism for myself and others, help me to focus on obedience to Your Holy Spirit and not the scale or my to-do list. Thank you for redirecting me when I fall off the path. Lead me Lord and help me celebrate progress, trust Your process, and keep moving faithfully forward. I love you so much. Amen.”

So today, friends, we are going to end September by celebrating Progress Over Perfection. Philippians 1 verse 6 says, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
Listen, I know we've been talking about progress over perfection and obedience over outcome for a long time, it seems like, but it is such a vital message.
I know so many of you ladies out there are trying the all-or-nothing approach and it's not working. It's the small steps forward that are worthy of praise because God sees our faithfulness.
He's not interested in your strive and try, he's interested in your surrender and how much work you're allowing him to do in your life and your biblical weight loss journey.
When those seemingly small things become the big things, that reveals God's work in your heart. We're no longer a number on the scale. We are a daughter of the king.
Are you sick of trying diet after diet and not losing weight? Are you tired of doubting your ability to actually lose weight in a healthy way? Do you wish you could find a laid out for you plan that will help you stay accountable to your goals?
Hey, friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach. I gained 100 pounds in my late 20s and struggled for years to get it off. So grab your pre-workout and let's chat.
The biblical weight loss framework is picking off October 6th. So please find the link in the show notes and join us below. herweightlossmindset.com/framework.
That's herweightlossmindset.com/framework. Listen, being overweight is hard. I know how hard it is.
Knowing what to do is overwhelming. Knowing who to trust is a struggle. I gained 100 pounds.
I know how hard it is to get the weight off. I've lost over 90 of those pounds doing the things that I teach you in the biblical weight loss framework.
These are habits and strategies that the Lord has placed on my heart over the last nine years as a fitness and nutrition coach.
Through video training, homework prompts, accountability, and group coaching in the student community, you will stay encouraged on your journey. I know how hard it is to think about investing in one more thing.
But trust that where the Lord guides, he provides, and he's going to give you exactly what you need through this program. So what do we know about perfectionism? Well, we know that perfectionism robs us of joy.
It keeps us focused on self instead of Jesus. When we are so focused inward, we can't walk out the great commission as the Lord has called us to. Let's be real, the enemy loves it when we're distracted with ourself.
We live in a world of self-focused people, but that is not the call of the gospel. It's the small steps, the seemingly small steps of progress that are the steady winds that transform us from the inside out because it's the Lord doing the work in us.
Each week we take an inventory and reflect. Think about these things. We've talked about all of this this last month.
Ask yourself, are you waking up a few minutes early every day to pray and read your Bible? How many meals are you prepping right now? How many workouts were you able to squeeze in over the last month?
Walks with the family count. They're the most important because not only are you getting physically fit with your family, you're connecting. Honestly, walking, in my opinion, is the best exercise that you can do.
Don't underestimate it. Think about the wins over the last month. Did you implement any new healthy habit or maybe break an old unhealthy one?
Did you take more steps today than you did yesterday? These are the things that we're looking at. These are the wins that we're focusing on.
Maybe you had more patience with a tricky toddler or a co-worker. Those things all count. Those are all wins.
Remember progress over perfection, obedience to the Holy Spirit regardless of the outcome. We're celebrating all of those victories. There is no win too small.
Every step in the right direction is a building block towards the lasting change that the Lord is doing in your heart. We are done with the all-or-nothing mindset.
Remember, we're focused on the Holy Spirit, but leading our steps one day, one step at a time. So as we finish out the month, I want you to think about a few ways that you can live this out moving forward. We're journaling our wins.
Remember, we're tracking our achievements every day or every week. Reward yourself. Listen, non-food rewards, remember, like taking a walk, going to your favorite coffee shop, maybe having some quiet time to soak in the tub or read a book.
Reward yourself for those seemingly small wins. And then reflect on scripture. What verse have you been reading in journaling?
Thank God for his faithfulness. And then share your progress. Tell someone about that seemingly small win that you're celebrating.
And encourage a friend or maybe you have an accountability partner. Ask them to celebrate their seemingly small win with you as well. And then focus on growth.
Small consistent wins. Obedience to the Holy Spirit over the outcome. So as we wrap up the month, I want you to ask yourself a few questions.
What wins am I going to celebrate? And how have I grown spiritually and physically this month? And how am I continuing to focus on faithfulness to the Holy Spirit rather than perfectionism or my old unhealthy mindsets?
Never, never, never underestimate God's desire to lead you and direct you. When we stop focusing on perfectionism, we begin to see ourselves and others as He intended, fearfully and wonderfully made.
This is how we live out the Great Commission in real time and shine our light for Jesus in a world that needs Him so badly. Lord, thank you for this month, even the steps that I missed. Thank you for the steps I did take forward.
Help me to continue to focus on you, Lord, and the path that you're leading me down. Help me to break unhealthy habits of perfectionism for myself and others. And help me to focus on obedience to your Holy Spirit and not the scale or my to-do list.
Thank you for redirecting me when I fall off the path, Lord. Lead me, guide me, and help me celebrate progress. Help me trust your process and help me to keep moving faithfully forward one step at a time.
I love you so much. Amen. Hey sis, I hope you enjoyed today's episode.
If so, would you take 30 seconds and share it with a friend? Also, please leave a quick review for the show on Apple Podcasts. It lights me up to know this podcast is helping you.
Okay, it's time to go make a protein shake and get my sweat on. No more standing in the kitchen waiting for motivation to appear. I will meet you back here for another episode.
God bless.
