Happy New Year! No Resolutions Just Results!
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Luke 12: 22- "Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
21 Day Challenge
- 25 grams of protein at breakfast
- One walk or 15-minute movement daily. I have a great indoor fitness walking program that I do 3-4 times per week, hit me up for the sample workout!
- Journal daily. Your verse of encouragement and 3 things you’re working on that day.
- One prayer every morning: “Lord, give me what I need today.
Father, thank You for this New Year, thank you for new mercies daily. Thank you that we get to celebrate Jesus every day, not just at Christmas. Thank You Father for the encouragement and conviction to lean on You in my weight loss journey this year. Remove the temptation to starve myself of binge Lord. Show me the spirit of discipline that lives in me because of You and let Your Holy character shape me as I lay down my burdens at the cross again. I am tired of this fight Lord, help me to practice the things we talked about today. Calm me Father, keep me focused on You and Your Holy Spirit voice in me, and not my doubt. Forgive me Father for trying to control and shame the weight off of me, help me to love me as You love me and help me to see myself as the daughter I am. Help us release perfection. Teach us to move with grace, eat with wisdom, and rest with trust. Make our habits holy Father. It’s in Your Name we pray, Amen.

your weight loss goals. So today's word comes from Luke chapter 12, verse 22. It says, then Jesus said to his disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or about your body, what you will wear.
For life is more than food and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap.
They have no store room or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?
Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Oh, my gosh. Why do you worry about the rest?
Thank you, Lord, for your word. So after Thanksgiving this year, I found myself at the heaviest that I'd been since before we got married. And just before Christmas, I felt convicted to do a three-day refresh.
It's through Beachbody. I've done it many, many times. And at the end of that three days, I had only dropped about three pounds, where I normally always lose five to seven.
And I woke up that morning, I was frustrated. Like, I didn't even want to start the cleanse that Tuesday. Normally, I started on Monday, but I was procrastinating.
And I just asked God to give me the discipline if it was His will to do it. And by the third day, I mean, I felt good. He pushed me through the entire time.
Like, the three days sailed by. And after almost a two-hour massage my last day, I finished the cleanse feeling fluffy. I was fluffy, but I was grateful for his provision.
So when I woke up after no sleep with baby Adelie, and only three pounds down, like, I started to feel really frustrated. Even though from the beginning, I was like, I want this to be about obedience to you, Jesus, rather than the weight.
Yet, he air streams in my flesh, right? Like, that week I'd felt convicted to fast the morning following. And so the second my belly growled the first time, I started to pray.
And coincidentally, the book I was finishing was teaching us on fasting, and it really set the tone for me that day. And I love the way that the Lord provides. Like, he put that book in front of me so that I could fast that morning.
I just I love the way that he gives us peace in our heart, in moments where we feel so defeated. And you know, I preach you all about obedience over outcome, but I haven't been living in that truth, and I just want to apologize to you.
And that day, I finished with a light stretch, and at the end, I just laid in meditation, thanking him for another opportunity to lay down my flesh and lay down my struggles with food. And he led me to the verse above.
Hubs and I had just read it that morning. So I'd like to share with you what he's put on my heart in this new year, and I pray that it blesses you as he has blessed me.
Daily Habit Challenge
So I want to focus on creating three structured steps that you're going to implement today, okay? The first steps are daily. So these are your daily habits.
You're going to do all of these for the next 21 days. Now I know that I just shared with you last week some five-minute micro habits that you can implement. If five is better for you, that's fine.
But some of you are ready to go in for a 21-day habit ritual. And so I want to provide for everyone, okay? So every morning for the next 21 days, you're going to drink 16 ounces of water before you sip your coffee.
You wake up, you brush your teeth, you're going to drink 16 ounces of water, okay? And then you're going to have a 20 to 30 gram protein breakfast. All right?
I gave you an example last week. Three to four scrambled eggs, a Dave's Killer bagel, a couple of cups of spinach. And then you're going to do 10-minute movement.
All right? Sometime that day, every day for 21 days, 10 days or 10 minutes. It can be stretching.
It can be body weight movement. You can do 15, 20 minutes, whatever fits into your time, but a minimum 10-minute movement. And then in the evening, you're going to have a wind-down practice where you have no screen, no screen.
We're going to take an hour break from our phone. And we're going to limit sugar to one to three treats per week, okay? So, we're going to do those things every day for 21 days.
Weekly and Monthly Focus
And then three times over the next 21 days, so once a week, you're going to do these things. You're going to meal prep one time a week for three weeks. You're going to do one strength training workout a week for three weeks.
You are going to have two days a week of Sabbath rest. And then, you're going to do one reflective check-in, okay, each week. And then, as we look over the next four weeks, more of a big picture, I want you to take measurements.
You can take pictures of your body, take measurements, or jot down some notes, okay? Not obsessively, just to give you a baseline. And then, we're going to revisit our goals.
What happened over the last, like, how did your week one daily habits go? How did your week two daily habits go? Like, did they feel a little easier to implement?
Were you really struggling with one? Like, revisit those. What happened?
And why? What did you do and what didn't you do? And why did you do what you did do?
And why didn't you do what you were supposed to do, okay?
And then, you're going to pray over your body, you're going to pray over your home, you're going to walk through your house and ask the Holy Spirit to fill each room, you're going to cast out anything in your house that is not of the Lord.
I know people think that this is super weird, you don't have to sprinkle oil, I would if I were you, but we're going to cast out anything in our home that is not of the Lord.
You would be amazed how little evils can creep into our home when we watch garbage television or we listen to garbage music. Those are openings for the enemy. So walk through your house, cast it out, cleanse your home, okay?
Pray over your body, pray over your home. If you've tuned me out already and you're thinking this chick is wacko, like these are things that I do, okay? What mind frame have you been in over your body and your choices over the past three weeks?
What has went really well? And then I want you to ask yourself, what do I really want? Like what do I really want to accomplish?
Not in 2026. What do I want to accomplish this week? What do I want to accomplish in the next 21 days?
What is it that you want to accomplish? Like pick a couple of things. It doesn't have to be major.
It shouldn't be major. One thing, okay? Takes 21 days to break or make a habit.
One thing that you want to focus on, but like what do you actually want? Do you want to stay in your excuses? Do you want to continue to live in a body that you don't love, that's unhealthy?
I don't think you do. What do you really want? Okay?
All right, so I want you to close your eyes, unless you're driving, of course. And I want you to take a breath and ask your heart, what do I want to feel by February? What do I want my mornings to look like?
What do I want to feel like in my body? What is one burden as it relates to my health that I need to lay at Jesus' feet? Journal those down.
This is between you and God. Pray over these questions. Journal anything that comes to mind.
Okay? So I would like you to join me in this 21-day microchallenge. This is not restrictive.
It's an opportunity to lean in to obedience over outcome and seek the Holy Spirit and what He wants for you. I'm doing this with you, okay? So for the next 21 days, 25 grams of protein at breakfast, your one 15-minute movement daily, all right?
Journal every day, your verse of encouragement, and then three things that you're working on as it relates to your Biblical weight loss journey that day, and then your prayer every morning, Lord, give me what I need today.
Lord, give me what I need today. Father, thank you for this new year. Thank you for new mercies each day.
Thank you that we get to celebrate Jesus every day, not just at Christmas. Thank you, Father, for the encouragement and conviction to lean on you in my weight loss journey this year. Remove the temptation to starve myself or binge, Lord.
Show me the spirit of discipline that lives in me because of you, and let your Holy Character shape me as I laid on my burdens at the cross again and again. I am tired of this fight, Lord. Help me to practice the things we talked about today.
Call me, Father. Keep me focused on you and your Holy Spirit voice in me and not my doubt. Forgive me, Father, for trying to control and shame the weight off.
Please help me to love me as you love me and help me to see myself as the daughter that I am. Help me release the weight. Help me release perfection.
Teach us to move with grace, eat with wisdom, and rest in your Holy name. Make our habits holy, Father, and it's in your name we ask these things, Jesus.
Amen.
