Austin is not a religious person himself, but as someone who once lived as an expat in a community strongly influenced by Mormonism, it was difficult to navigate and create connections. He often felt like he was outside of the circle, never having experienced the same religious upbringing or challenges.

Providing his unique perspective as a non-member of the community, he shares his thoughts and experiences on how to navigate those environments—whether for those like him or for individuals leaving a high-demand religion.

Meet Jessa, co-founder of ExcommuniDate, where she helps others find their community after leaving high-demand religions. Her own journey toward self-love and authenticity inspired her to create a safe space for those navigating similar paths. As a proud ex-Mormon, Jessa understands the challenges of breaking free while her family remains dogmatic. She’s a mom to three beautiful children, married to an incredible husband, and enjoys cuddling with their adorable pooch. 🐾

Jessa also runs Tied At The Heart, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to making a difference. When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying the magic of Disneyland, exploring new destinations, rocking out at concerts, or indulging in delicious food. 🍔✈️🎶
