Hey friend, welcome back to Midlife Transformation. Today, we’re slowing down, because one of the most overlooked parts of a woman’s strength… is her ability to rest.
So many women spend their lives giving, pouring out, showing up, carrying responsibilities, holding others together. My Grammy's phrase, "burning both ends of the candle", when she knew I was exhaused from work and going to school (working towards my backelor's degree years ago).
Rarely do we stop long enough to receive, to rest, to be restored. Even in creation, God modeled rest, not because He needed it—but because we do. Rest is not weakness. It’s wisdom.
Rest is how your body heals. It’s how your mind resets. It’s how your spirit reconnects. So today, I want to gently ask you to pause, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Breathe. Be still. Let yourself be cared for by God.
You don’t have to earn rest. Here’s your question for today:
What would change if you gave yourself permission to truly rest, without guilt?
