Avery Franklin

My name is Avery franklin I’m a sophomore at LCU studying family studies! The reason I’m pursuing family studies is because as a senior in high school I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and battled that the summer of 2022 after graduation. After going through something so traumatic medically, I had a child life specialist walk with me and be with me through that and now that’s someone I want to be for kids struggling the hospital. I would love to be a safe place and the light of the lord as kids and adults navigate the hardships of medical difficulties! My whole motto for this year is “ love people like Jesus died for them” and I hope through sharing my story I can do just that!
