At We Can Relate!, we believe that learning to relate more deeply – to ourselves and others – has the power to change our lives and heal our divided world. Growth and transformation are at the heart of everything we do. By openly sharing our personal journeys of struggle, resilience, and lessons learned along the way, we create a warm, inviting space where vulnerability replaces fear and connection overcomes isolation. We’re here to support you through your most difficult relational issues with warmth, insight, and humor. By meeting in our shared human imperfections, we foster deeper, more conscious relationships and a sense of true belonging.
Our mission is to guide, support, and inspire a community where healing is not only possible, it's inevitable. Our greatest intention for We Can Relate! is that it reaches people who need help understanding and healing relational wounds. May it be a healing salve, relational map, or some kind of Soul Food.
We truly hope it is that for you.

TRIGGERED! Stop Reacting, Start Responding: Navigating Triggers in Relationships (Part 1)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Why do small moments in relationships sometimes feel so big?
In this episode of We Can Relate, we explore what really happens when you feel emotionally activated in conflict — and how to shift from automatic reactions to grounded, intentional responses.
Triggers aren’t random. They often reflect deeper patterns, past experiences, expectations, and unmet needs. The good news? With awareness, you can interrupt the cycle.
In this conversation, we cover:
• Why relationship triggers feel intense
• The difference between reacting and responding
• How conflict escalates — and how to slow it down
• The hidden patterns that fuel recurring arguments
• Practical tools to stay steady during emotional moments
• How to create more connection, even in disagreement
If you’ve ever walked away from a conversation thinking, “That wasn’t how I wanted to handle that,” this episode is for you.
Learning to pause, reflect, and respond differently doesn’t mean suppressing feelings. It means understanding them — and using them wisely.
Because when one person shifts, the relationship shifts.
