Be Still And Notice: A Yoga Podcast

Episode 5: Why Being Inflexible Should Never Be A Barrier To Yoga, Dealing with Injury And Adapting Your Asana Practice

Helen taylor Season 1 Episode 5

In this episode I talk about how being inflexible nearly stopped me from doing my teacher training, how I turned it into a gift and how it should never be a barrier to anyone in their practice.

I also talk about my recent hip/back problem and diagnosis, and share my top tips on how to mentally, emotionally AND physically navigate periods of injury and recovery in your physical asana practice.

I reference one of my wonderful teachers: Katja Patel in this episode, she is a fantastic teacher who really lives a yogic life. She is also an Ayurvedic practitioner and educator. If you would like to work with her you can find here here:

I also mention Daniel Boyd of Clincall Banbury, who was the amazing Physio to diagnose my hip problem. You can find all of his details and all about the clinic and the amazing services they offer here: https://clinicallphysio.com/our-team

My lovely friend, amazing yoga teacher, PT and reformer Pilates instructor Lisa Kinslay can also be found on the Clinicall site.

I hope you enjoy listening.
