A rare planetary alignment is peaking, timelines feel like they’re shifting, and a lot of people are wondering whether we’re heading for another 2020-style crisis or something entirely different. I slow the noise down and walk through what’s actually being discussed, including the work of French astrologer André Barbault and why long-term planetary cycles often line up with major collective turning points. For me, the headline isn’t fear. It’s a collective choice point, a moment where conditions may be getting more supportive for growth, innovation, and conscious evolution, depending on how we respond.

From there, I bring it back to the part we can actually influence: the conditions inside our own lives. Awakening is a natural unfolding, but we can create an environment that supports it. I share the practices that helped me integrate healing in a grounded way, especially somatic healing and nervous system regulation, plus the role of ceremony as a container for grief, endings, and rites of passage. When we stop overriding the body, we get clearer about what’s true, what’s conditioning, and what needs to change.

We also explore evolutionary astrology as a practical tool for separating your soul blueprint from the endless “shoulds” pushed by culture. I share an example from my own chart, and then reframe manifestation as conscious co-creation with God or the divine: not forcing outcomes from ego, but becoming so aligned that your life starts reflecting your integrity. If you’ve been feeling the pull to step into your next chapter, I also share why I created my nine-month container, The Calling, and what it looks like to be supported through deep transformation.

If this lands, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share it with someone who’s in a transition, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What choice are you being asked to make right now?

Welcome And Why The Body Leads

SPEAKER_01

Welcome to Body Wisdom Rising. I'm your host, Alyssa. We're living at a profound turning point in humanity, a collective choice point where old systems are dissolving, and many of us are being called to wake up, heal, and step into deeper alignment with who we truly are. On this podcast, we explore consciousness, healing, ancestral wisdom, and the initiations that shape our lives. We also explore how to navigate times of great change and what it means when healing begins to open the door to deeper questions. Who am I really? Why am I here? And how am I being called to serve in this moment of history? Here we talk about the collective themes unfolding in our world and how each of us can learn to meet them with greater awareness, embodiment, and courage. Because real transformation doesn't just happen in the mind, it happens through the body. If you're on a path of awakening, healing, remembering, and perhaps stepping into service, you're in the right place. This is Body Wisdom Rising.

The Rare Alignment Everyone Mentions

SPEAKER_00

So, over the past couple of weeks, you've probably seen people talking about this rare planetary alignment that's reaching its peak. So, why is everyone talking about this? Why is this considered such a significant moment? And what does it actually mean? So, today we're gonna unpack all of that. We're gonna talk about the French astrologer André Barbot and why this his work is receiving so much attention right now. We're gonna explore how this current alignment compares to the one that built toward 2020, why many astrologers viewed that period as one of crisis and major collective reorganization, and why this current cycle is often being described very differently as a period where the conditions become increasingly supportive for growth, innovation, and conscious evolution. And I also want to share my own perspective, what I've been witnessing over the last several years, why I believe so many people are experiencing major shifts, life transitions, tower moments, why I describe this moment as a collective choice point, and how all of this connects to healing, spiritual awakening, and becoming who we actually came here to be. So

Conditions That Support Awakening

SPEAKER_00

in last week's episode, we explored some of the frameworks that have been incredibly supportive on my own healing and awakening journey, frameworks that helped me make sense of experiences that I didn't have words for. And this week, I want to build on that conversation by sharing some of the practices that have supported me in actually integrating that work. Because understanding the map is one thing, but actually living it is another. So I'll talk about some of the modalities that have shaped my awakening journey over the past several years and why they've become such an important part of the work that I do today. So awakening is not something that we force, it is a natural unfolding. It's our soul constantly trying to emerge through everything that has been layered on top of it. So our conditioning, our fears, our traumas, our identities, our survival patterns. But while we can't force awakening, we can create the conditions that support it. So just like you can't force a seed to grow, but you can give it the right soil, enough water, sunlight, and space. So the same is true for us. So if you're trying to navigate a spiritual awakening while you're still in an environment that's constantly dysregulating your nervous system, maybe it's a toxic workplace, unhealthy relationships, constant stress, endless stimulation, fluorescent lights, processed foods, screens, rushing from one thing to the next. That's not going to support the process. It's not that your soul isn't trying to emerge, it's that the conditions around you aren't supporting that process. This is why our environment matters. Our relationships matter, our nervous system matters, the way that we move our bodies, the practices we engage in, the time that we spend in nature, our community, the spaces we spend our time in, they all influence our capacity to be able to hear ourselves. So these practices and modalities help create the conditions for awakening to unfold with more safety, groundedness, and integration. We're creating an environment where our authentic self has the space to emerge.

Somatic Healing As The Foundation

SPEAKER_00

And so for me, if there was one modality that became the foundation of everything else, it was somatic healing. So when people hear the word somatics, they often think it's just another healing modality. But for me, it's become so much more than that. It became the place where everything I had been learning finally began to land because awakening doesn't just happen in the mind, right? It happens through our body. So for years, I approached healing intellectually. I wanted to understand why I was the way that I was. I wanted to analyze everything and I psychoanalyzed everyone as well. I wanted to think my way through healing. But what I eventually realized is that my body was carrying years of survival, years of stress, years of trauma, years of adaptation. And no amount of insight alone is going to change that. So somatic work really helped me come back into relationship with my body. It taught me how to slow down enough to notice, to notice where I was holding tension, to notice where I contracted, to notice what felt expansive, to notice when my body was saying yes and when I was saying no, because so many of us have spent so much of our lives disconnected from our bodies, living predominantly anchored in our minds. We've learned to override our bodies, to push through, to keep performing, to keep achieving, to keep everyone else comfortable. So somatic work really helped invite me back home, helped me regulate my nervous system. It helped me feel safe enough to actually be present with myself. And I truly believe that that's one of the foundations of awakening. Because if we're constantly living in survival, it's incredibly difficult to hear the quiet voice of our own soul. The more grounded and regulated we become, the more available we become for life. The more clearly we can distinguish between fear conditioning and our deeper truth. So what happens when we don't actually support the process? So what happens when our soul is trying to emerge, but our environment isn't supporting it? So maybe you're still in a job with a toxic boss. Maybe you're in relationship dynamics that are constantly causing you to self-abandon. Maybe you're living in constant stress, constantly rushing, always on your phone, disconnected from your body, disconnected from nature. So it's not that this awakening process, you know, isn't trying to happen. And you probably, if you're listening to these episodes, you're very most likely experiencing, you know, the process wanting to emerge through you, but it's that the conditions aren't supporting it. And that's why I believe containers are so incredibly important. Honestly, I wouldn't be doing the work that I'm doing today if it wasn't for the containers that I put myself in. So that was my path. I chose to invest in myself over and over again. I chose to put myself in rooms with people who had walked the path before me. So don't ever overestimate how powerful that is. Trying to go through an awakening on your own is really hard. We need other people. And when you see someone who's a few steps ahead of you, it changes something. It expands what feels possible. So it helps remind your nervous system that maybe you can do this too. So there's actually something called the hundredth monkey effect. So when enough people begin living something new, it becomes easier for others to step into it too. And so looking back, I had to make some really difficult choices. I had to leave relationships, I left jobs, I walked away from certainty. I was a single mom starting my life over with absolutely nothing. I didn't have financial support. I was living in an apartment trying to figure out how I was going to rebuild my life. And none of it happened overnight. But like little by little, by continuing to do the deeper work, by continuing to choose environments that supported who I was becoming instead of who I had been, everything started to shift. So the work I get to do today, the community that's been built, the people that I've connected with all over the world, this happened because I was committed to doing the soul work, not just personal development, not just trying to improve my personality or become more productive. I'm talking about the deep excavation of the soul, looking at our conditioning, looking at our patterns, looking at the stories we've inherited, asking, is this actually mine? And another practice that's been absolutely foundational for me has been ceremony.

Ceremony And Lost Rites Of Passage

SPEAKER_00

If somatic healing brought me back into my body, ceremony brought me back into relationship with something much bigger than myself. So for me, ceremony has looked different throughout different seasons of my life. So it's looked like breath work, it's looked like sweat lodges, it's looked like sitting around the fire, it's looked like spending time in nature, eventually medicine journeys and creating intentional spaces where I could slow down enough to actually listen. Ceremony creates a container. So it asks us to be present, to step out of our everyday lives, to become intentional, to listen, to witness ourselves honestly. And I think it's one of the things that's just been lost in our modern world, you know, is ceremony. For thousands of years, our ancestors understood that there were seasons of life that weren't meant to be rushed through. There were rites of passage, there were initiations, there were spaces where communities gathered together to witness one another through death, through birth, through grief, through healing, through becoming adolescence. Today we don't have many of those spaces anymore. Instead, we're often expected to just keep producing, keep working, keep distracting ourselves, keep moving on as quickly as possible. But awakening doesn't work like that. Transformation doesn't work like that. You know, sometimes life is asking us to pause. Sometimes it's asking us to grieve. Sometimes it's asking us to let an old identity die before something new can emerge. And ceremony has given me permission to slow down enough to actually honor those seasons instead of resisting them. It's reminding me that healing isn't something that we achieve. It's not a destination that we arrive at suddenly. It's something we continually practice. It's a relationship. And I truly believe that's one of the reasons ceremony has been so supportive on my own awakening journey. It's really created a space where my nervous system could relax, where my heart could open, where I could hear the quiet voice. It became a place where I could meet myself more honestly. And when I look back over the last eight years, I can honestly say I don't think I'd be doing the work today with if it wasn't for those ceremonial spaces. They changed me. They taught me a different way of living, a more intentional way, a more connected way, a more embodied way. Looking back, I also realized the containers that transformed my own life all had certain things in common. They created the conditions for transformation. They gave me the support, the practices, the community, and the environment that allowed me to move through seasons of uncertainty with greater awareness, safety, and integration. Like I mentioned earlier, transformation doesn't happen through information alone. While insight is important, insight has to become embodied. It has to be something that we actually live. It has to become something our nervous system can hold. And really, you know, um what I call the great work, all these different modalities and frameworks that have really supported me on my journey, somatic work, ceremony, community, dream work, depth work, shadow work, evolutionary astrology, they all were pointing me toward the same thing, helping me remember who I was beneath my conditioning, helping me become more integrated, more embodied, more fully myself.

Building Safe Containers For Change

SPEAKER_00

And that's actually exactly why I created my program, The Calling. So it's the kind of container I wished I had when I was first on my awakening path. It's a place where you don't have to figure out all on your own, where you're supported, you're challenged, you're witnessed, and you're surrounded by people who are committed to becoming more of who they truly are. So the calling is a nine-month initiation into your soul's assignment. It's about creating the conditions that allow your authentic self to merge. And throughout these nine months, we'll explore your soul blueprint through evolutionary astrology, helping you understand your gifts, your recurring patterns, your karmic blessings, and the deeper themes your life is inviting you to embody. We'll weave together somatic healing, nervous system regulation, ceremony, dream work, shadow work, depth work. You'll receive monthly teachings, experiential integration calls, ceremonies, practices, meditations, and a community of people who are walking this path alongside you. We all need safe containers. You know, when we have that, something starts to shift over time. You stop looking outside of yourself for all the answers and begin trusting your own inner knowing. Life begins to feel less forced and more like something you're consciously co-creating with God or the divine. You naturally begin attracting relationships, opportunities, and experiences that reflect the person that you're becoming. And you become more aware of meaningful synchronicities, dreams, and the ways that life is guiding you. You make decisions from alignment instead of fear. You feel more grounded, more supported, more connected, and more fully yourself. Because you're no longer fighting against your own soul, because that's what this work really is about. It's remembering who you've always been. So if you are feeling that pull, that sense that life is asking more of you, that you know you've done so much healing that there's another chapter waiting for you, I'd love to invite you into the calling because you don't have to walk this path alone. So enrollment is open. Early bird pricing is available to August 1st. And because this is a highly supported container, spaces are intentionally limited. So you can find the link in the show notes to join. Now, the reason I wanted to share all of that first is because I believe it's deeply connected to the collective moment that we are living in.

André Barbot And The 2020 Turning

SPEAKER_00

Now, let's talk about why this planetary alignment has captured so much attention around the world. So if you've been on social media over the last week, you've probably seen people talking about this. Maybe you've heard astrologers calling it one of the most significant alignments of our lifetime. Maybe you've seen people talking about Andre Barbot. Maybe you wondered what is everyone talking about. So I wanted to record this episode because I think there's a lot of misunderstanding around what's actually being said. And I also think this conversation is incredibly hopeful because what I believe this moment represents isn't fear, it's possibility. So who was Andre Barbot? He was a French astrologer who spent decades studying long-term planetary cycles and how they corresponded with major periods throughout history. He didn't predict specific events. In fact, that's one of the biggest misconceptions people have about astrology. So he never said that this exact event is going to happen. He was interested in larger patterns. So he studied history. He looked at previous planetary cycles. He noticed there were periods throughout history where humanity seemed to arrive at major turning points. And what he observed was that certain rare planetary configurations often coincided with periods of enormous collective change. So one of those periods was the planetary configuration that built toward 2020. So long before the pandemic, he had identified that period as one of the most significant collective turning points of our time. And what he suggested was that humanity was approaching a period of profound collective reorganization, a time where old structures would begin breaking down and something new would eventually begin emerging. And looking back, I think most of us can agree that the years surrounding 2020 dramatically changed the world, not just politically or economically, but also psychologically, spiritually, relationally, individually, many of us began asking questions we'd never asked before. Everything we thought was stable suddenly wasn't. And regardless of what anyone believes about astrology, I think it's fair to say that humanity entered a completely different chapter. Now, here's why people are talking about him again, because he also identified the planetary configuration that we're moving through now as another significant collected turning point. So it's this is not the same energy as 2020. So not another crisis, but another choice point. He actually saw it as very positive. Now, this isn't about waiting for something outside of ourselves to magically change our lives. It's about recognizing that the conditions are changing, the opportunities are changing, the invitation is changing. But how we respond, that's still up to us. That's why I often say that the planets aren't doing anything magical. They're not making us awaken, they're not making us heal, they're not making us change our lives, they're creating conditions. So think about spring. Spring doesn't force a flower to bloom, but it creates conditions where blooming becomes much more possible. So these larger collective cycles work in a very similar way. The conditions become ripe for change. And when we've been doing the work, when we've been healing, growing, letting go, becoming more aligned with who we truly are, these conditions can feel incredibly supportive because we're no longer swimming against who we really are. We're moving with it. And one

Blueprint Versus Conditioning In Astrology

SPEAKER_00

of the reasons evolutionary astrology has become such an important part of my own work is because it has helped me understand the difference between my conditioning and my blueprint. And I think that's one of the greatest gifts it offers. It gives us language for what our soul may already be asking of us. We're constantly surrounded by messages telling us who we should be. So women should be more feminine, men should be more masculine, you should build a business, you should stay at home with your kids, you should be a boss babe, you should be softer, you should be more productive. Everyone has an opinion about the right way to live. But what if your soul came here with a different assignment? And I'll give you an example for my own chart. So I have an Aries North Node in my second house. So north node represents the direction my soul is growing toward in this lifetime. So for me, that's about developing self-worth, learning to trust myself, building something that's truly my own and stepping into greater independence. And that shows up in other areas in my chart as well. So if I only followed what felt comfortable, I probably wouldn't have stayed in relationship dynamics where someone else carried that responsibility, right? Because that actually felt more familiar to me. That's my conditioning. But my soul has continually invited me into something completely different, into greater self-trust, into greater courage, independence, creating something that's aligned with who I truly am, creating financial stability for myself, for my daughter. Has it been easy? Not at all. Is it what I want? Of course not, right? Often, you know, stepping towards our north node is very uncomfortable. It's actually been one of the hardest, you know, it's been the hardest lesson to navigate. But when I look back, I can see that's exactly what my life has been, you know, asking of me. And that's why I love evolutionary astrology so much. It just reminds us that no two people came here with exactly the same blueprint. You know, your path won't look like mine. Mine won't look like yours. And that's incredibly freeing because we can stop trying to become who everyone else tells us that we should be. You know, asking, who is my soul asking me to become is a much more meaningful question. When we look around right now, I can see so many people asking these deeper questions and walking away from careers that no longer align, leaving relationships they've outgrown, questioning identities that they've carried for decades. You know, it's very much like people can feel that this version of themselves they've been living is just no longer sustainable. Now, is everyone experiencing this? No, not everyone is experiencing it in the same way, but I do believe the conditions are becoming increasingly supportive for people who are ready to awaken to a deeper. Relationship with themselves. And for some people, the last several years have felt incredibly heavy. There has been a lot of shedding, a lot of letting go, a lot of grieving, a lot of uncertainty. Old identities have been dissolving. And many people have been confronting wounds they didn't even know that they were carrying. And while these seasons have been incredibly difficult, they're often preparing the ground for something entirely new to emerge. I can honestly say that's been my own experience. You know, the last several years have transformed every area of my life, but that transformation didn't happen overnight. It wasn't because I woke up one day and everything magically changed. It was years of inner work, years of choosing to stay on the path, years of continually coming back to myself. And there were years where almost nothing seemed to be changing externally. In many ways, it felt like everything was being stripped away. Identities, relationships, beliefs, ways of living, ways of seeing the world. And looking back now, you know, it felt like it was punishment, like it felt cruel at times, but it was preparation. They were creating the foundation for everything that's unfolded since. I feel like I've just gone through such a maturing period. I'm a completely different person than I was even, you know, 18 months ago. Um, and it was hard and it was a sobering time. I was actually going through four Saturn transits at once, which was a lot of pressure. It was very sobering, uh, very maturing. I'll say that for sure. Um, but um it was also incredibly supportive, you know, and after getting through that period, just doors started opening. The right people appeared, opportunities I never could have planned for began showing up because I was finally becoming the person who could actually receive them.

Manifestation As Soul Co-Creation

SPEAKER_00

One of the biggest things this journey has really changed for me is the way that I understand manifestation. Years ago, I approached manifestation the way many people do. I thought it was about trying to create the life that I wanted. So setting intentions, visualizing, trying to attract certain experiences. And while I think intention is incredibly important, I've come to believe that manifestation goes much deeper than that. So I don't believe we're here to manifest from our ego. I believe that we're here to co-create with God, the divine, from our soul. And there's a big difference there. So our ego often creates from fear, from scarcity, from proving, from comparison, from trauma, from our childhood wounds, from who we think we should be, from conditioning, from media. And our soul creates from something entirely different, creates from, you know, alignment, from purpose, from authenticity, from becoming who we actually came here to be. So now I see manifestation, you know, it's not about trying to convince the universe to give us what we want. It's about becoming so deeply aligned with who we truly are that our lives naturally begin reflecting that alignment. I often describe it as becoming a conscious co-creator with God. So to me, conscious co-creation, you know, it's not about trying to control our lives. It's not about trying to force outcomes. It's not about trying to bypass pain or make life unfold exactly the way that we want it to. It's about participating with life. It's about becoming so deeply rooted in ourselves, in our integrity that we're able to respond consciously instead of reacting from survival. And as we heal, as we regulate our nervous system, as we come home to our bodies, as we begin listening to our intuition, as we stop living from conditioning and begin living from our soul, our outer lives naturally begin reflecting that inner transformation. Life responds differently because we're participating differently. We begin making different choices, we notice different opportunities, we trust ourselves more, we have the courage to walk through doors we may have ignored before. We stop abandoning ourselves in relationships, we stop saying yes when our body is saying no. We begin building lives that are actually aligned with who we are. And sometimes it can feel incredibly magical. It can feel like everything is suddenly falling into place. And that is alignment that comes from years of devotion, of healing, of doing the great work, learning to trust yourself, years of saying yes to what your soul is asking of you. Eventually, your outer life just simply catches up to the work that you've already been doing. And I believe that this that is what this collective moment is inviting us into. Not waiting for something outside of ourselves to save us, not waiting for the plants to change our lives, not waiting until we feel completely ready, becoming active participants in our own evolution, because I really do believe we're standing at a collective choice point right now. The conditions are becoming increasingly supportive for those who are willing to do the work, for those who are willing to ask deeper questions, to become more conscious, to heal, to let go of identities they've outgrown, to become who they truly are. So whether you resonate with astrology or whether you agree with every framework that I've shared or the modalities, it really isn't the point. Question I want to leave you with is what if this season of your life isn't happening to you, but it's inviting something from you.

Choosing Courage Over Old Identities

SPEAKER_00

It's asking for something to emerge. What if every challenge, every loss, every ending, every breakthrough has been preparing you for something? Because I believe that human beings have an incredible capacity to transform, to heal, to grow, to remember. When I look around right now, I don't see the world that it's just falling apart, that it can seem that way at times. I see people waking up. I see people questioning old ways of living. I see people choosing authenticity, wanting something more meaningful, more connected, more aligned. And while I know change can feel uncomfortable, and inevitably, whenever we're changing, whenever we're going through major transitions, it's not going to be smooth, right? It's going to feel uncomfortable. It's going to feel uncertain. It's going to feel unstable and maybe a little bit dysregulating as well. Different type of dysregulation, though, when you step towards soul's calling, your purpose. Yes, there's a bit of fear, but there's also this excitement and there's hope and there's possibility. Whereas when you stay stuck in a toxic environment, in a toxic job, in an unhealthy relationship, there isn't hope, right? It's you see how things are going to continue. And, you know, there isn't that possibility that you can reach for unless you choose to actually make changes. So yes, it will feel uncertain, it will feel unsafe, it will feel unfamiliar, but it'll also be so full of possibilities. Change can feel uncomfortable, but it also creates incredible possibility. And that's what I see as this collective choice point because each of us gets to decide how we'll respond to the opportunities this season is presenting. Will we continue living from old identities or will we have the courage to become who we truly are? It's the question I've been living with. It's the question that has shaped my life, and it's the question that continues to guide everything that I teach. So thank you so much for spending time
