the people around you Shape how you think, act and Feel in this Thrive. In Five, we're talking about the power of your environment and how to intentionally build a circle that fuels your confidence, momentum, and growth.
SpeakerWelcome back to Thrive in Five, where I give you a quick burst of motivation and productivity in five minutes or less. I'm Cindy, your host, a self-made entrepreneur, busy mom, and a business coach. I've built and sold several digital businesses ranging from five to six figure successes. So when it comes to managing time and priorities in both life and work, I get it. I've been there and I am here to help you thrive.
Let's talk about something that has a bigger impact on your productivity and mindset than most people realize. It's your circle who you surround yourself with matters not just in business, but in your everyday life. If you're constantly around people who drain your energy, doubt your ideas, downplay your goals, it's going to be a lot harder to stay consistent and motivated. But when you're surrounded by people who inspire you and uplift you, everything changes. And you don't have to do it all alone. In fact, you shouldn't. Here's what surrounding yourself with the right people looks like. Uplifting energy. Look for people who speak life into your dreams, even when they don't fully understand them. These are the ones that say, I believe in you, or You've got this. Instead of questioning why you're doing it, their encouragement becomes fuel. Their mindset becomes contagious. You start believing in yourself more simply because they do shared growth mindset. Find people who are committed to growth, both personally and professionally. Whether it's a coach, a mastermind, a group chat, or one accountability buddy. Be connected to others who are taking action that will help you rise too. You'll start hearing things like, I'm trying this, or Here's what worked for me, and suddenly your brain opens up to new possibilities. Boundaries with the opposite. Sometimes you have to limit your time with those who discourage or distract you. That doesn't mean cutting people out completely, but it does mean protecting your energy. You don't need constant support from everyone. You do need consistent alignment with a few. Choose quality over quantity here. This works because your environment influences your thoughts, actions, and confidence. Being around people who believe in you and challenge you to grow can raise your standards, increase consistency, and remind you that you're not alone in this if you wanna implement this immediately, here are your action steps. Reach out to one person who inspires or uplifts you and set up a check-in or a coffee chat. Identify one group, community or space where people are growing in the same direction you want to grow. Set a boundary with one source of negativity that's been affecting your momentum. When your circle expands your vision, so does your confidence. And when you feel seen, supported, and inspired, your next level comes faster.
