feeling constantly busy, but not getting anywhere in this Thrive in Five. I'm breaking down the difference between being busy and being intentional so you can stop spinning your wheels and start making real progress towards your goals. Let's talk about a word that gets way too much credit. The word busy. We wear it like a badge. I'm just so busy. But the truth is, being busy isn't the same as being productive. You can constantly be moving and still not get anywhere. The goal isn't to fill your calendar, it's to fill your days with purpose. So here's how to shift from being busy to being intentional. Ask yourself, what's the outcome that I really want? When you're writing a to-do list, don't just write down the tasks. Ask yourself why you're doing them. Are they aligned with your goals? Are they getting you closer to the life or the business that you're building? This question instantly helps you filter out low impact busyness, use a priority matrix. This is one of my favorite tools. Yes, I do have a lot, but the priority matrix is at the top. It helps you categorize tasks by impact and effort, so you're gonna look for high impact, low effort. You're gonna do those first. Those low impact high effort tasks probably are not worth your time and energy. This helps you say no to distractions that are disguised as important. And ps, I do have a free printable. If you're interested in that free printable, just send me a message. Protect intentional blocks of time. You don't need a 12 hour day of focus. You just need a few blocks of distraction-free, purpose-driven work. Use the Pomodoro technique or calendar blocks to work in focus bursts. I have videos on my YouTube channel with ambient timers. If you want some help staying on track, this works because being intentional puts you in charge of your time. It helps you get better results with less stress because you are working on what matters and not just what's screaming for your attention. If you would like to immediately implement this, here are your steps. Look at your to-do list and cross off anything that's busy but not essential. Highlight one task that feels purposeful and commit to finishing it. Try 1 25 minute focused work block using the Pomodoro method and see how it feels. You don't need to do more, you just need to do what matters. And that starts with being intentional.
