Welcome And Today’s Big Question
SPEAKER_02Hello, I'm Denise. I'm Lisa. I'm Takeisha. And I'm Laverne. And we're the Hot Cone Survivors.
SPEAKER_01Come join us. It's an opportunity where women of a certain age will talk truth, trash, and transformation.
SPEAKER_02Hey guys, welcome to today's conversation of the Hot Cone Survivors. So we're all here and we're gonna chat about what are we chatting about, guys?
SPEAKER_03I was just asking, you know, what kind of ID are folks carrying lately? You know, because if you follow the nude, I try not to, but it seeps into my consciousness. Anyhow, are you all fearful enough to be sticking your passport in your back pocket? Is the real ID enough? What are we thinking about that?
SPEAKER_02For me, my ID should be sufficient enough. I rather should. Should I say it should be sufficient enough, right? But if God forbid, God forbid, God forbid, right? If I ever got picked up, I rather that someone comes with the proof as opposed to they detain me and take it and then I never see it again.
SPEAKER_03So if you get the pain, who's coming? Because you due process is different when they detain you, like with ice, right? So you're not getting your one phone call, you're not getting your a turnover.
SPEAKER_02Whenever somebody finds out, there are no rights with ice cream. How how? I just I don't understand how this is all working. Well, I'm I'll take a copy, do something, but I feel like I can't that's too precious of a document right now. I just I don't know. I don't trust them. I do have carry my passport and my ID, my driver's license. Because I was on a cruise and it just never came out of my bag. So I think it's fine, but I'm hearing that people have been on the cruise and the ice agents are going on cruise ships taking people off the boat.
SPEAKER_03What?
ICE Detention, Rights, And Due Process
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03But how? Because if you're in international water.
SPEAKER_02But they dock in Florida.
SPEAKER_03Oh. But if you're on the boat, don't you have to have a passport? To get on the boat. So how are you?
SPEAKER_02But if they find out that if you're not necessarily like you are undocumented, but you're legal, they'll still take you.
SPEAKER_03What does undocumented and legal mean? That's not a thing.
SPEAKER_02If you're legal, you have to have some no like okay, but if you're nationalized, if you're here a student visa or work. Those types of things. That's what I'm talking about. They are still considered illegal immigrants. But can you imagine you going on vacation? I'm not saying that it's right. I'm not saying that it's right. And you're coming home, and they're coming to you to take you off the boat and take you into detention. Right.
SPEAKER_03Damn, I hope you had a good vacation while you're doing home.
SPEAKER_02Right. Yeah, because that's really hope you hold on to those memories. That's a downhill. Because it's about to go downhill from now. You know, got that little book. It's so crazy. Maybe I'm I don't know. And the rule I'm just maybe not understanding all of this. No, the rules have changed. It's just really, really, really crazy right now. And we're trying to make sense of right, and there's no way we're trying to make sense of craziness. And there's no right way. There's no right way. There's no right way. But as an American citizen, for us to even be grappling with what kind of papers we gotta be carrying on our person at all time, it's crazy. It's apartheid. It's a lot of craziness as part-type. It's totally apartheid. And the craziness is that we all saw the video and they got on TV and saying this man was rashing his. He came to massacre, he came to massacre the ice agents. How could you just open your mouth and say this? Did we all see the same video? It's that's the state.
Cruise Ships, Ports, And Jurisdiction
SPEAKER_03They threw the Second Amendment out the window because it was inconvenient in that minute, right? Exactly. That's been your foundation for your base. But the minute it became inconvenient, they tossed that. Well, he shouldn't have a gun.
SPEAKER_02Excuse me, because And he was okay. He was well right than his wife's.
SPEAKER_03And is he an open carrying state? It's an open carry. And also he had a concealed one. But he had a license for concealed. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03Which you all then it was like, well, he shouldn't have carried it. No, no, no, wait. But he didn't pull it out though.
SPEAKER_02Right. The rules don't apply.
SPEAKER_03You should bring it to a process. When did that happen? Because January 6th, they were all they were all armed. Nobody was yelling on why would they bring guns to come on.
SPEAKER_02It's it's incredible to me. Incredible. It's incredible. Outrageous. Yeah, I don't feel comfortable walking around with my passport. Because common sense would tell you, okay, let me let me bring all of my paperwork and present it in some organized fashion. Just based on what we've seen, it's total chaos. And they want you out, so they don't care.
SPEAKER_03If you have it and they take it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it can always be duplicated. Right?
SPEAKER_03So if you have it, you're right, they can take it. But if you don't have it, I mean you've got nothing. I mean, maybe you run up on a reasonable ICE agent that goes, okay, she has a passport, let her go.
SPEAKER_02You know, rather than I'm just standing here like, I don't have anything.
SPEAKER_01I just feel like it's just no laws apply to them. No. And they'll find another reason to get you, even with your passport.
SPEAKER_02I don't even think these ICE agents know what the laws are. No. That part, that they're not trained properly. They're not trained at all. And this is the thing, and this is the problem I had with the Alex Predy thing, is that if anything, that officer should have been de-escalating, whatever that is. He came over there looking for a problem. Just his whole stance, when he's walking over, he's like, and you push a woman, the guy's like, okay, just chill. And you went into a full but they're not trained. First of all. They are bounty hunters. They are bounty. That's what they are. They are bounty hunters. So they're not trying to escalate. There is no protocol. You're supposed to be trained to de-escalate a situation. They're not trained.
Apartheid Analogies And Second Amendment Double Standards
SPEAKER_03Because I saw I saw TikTok, not that that's necessarily the most valid source in the world, but it's currently where I get on my news. I understand. But I saw that there were ICE agents in Minnesota were trying to breach the Ecuadorian consulate. And the guy is saying, Come on, you can't come in here. Like this is not even US territory. This is foreign territory. It's a consulate. But I guarantee you, they have no idea what a consulate means. You know, people in the comment were saying they were five minutes against um, you know, declaring war because you don't understand, you know, the boundaries of their I think they don't care.
SPEAKER_02They don't. They don't care. They're out here reckless. They're throwing out all this money and sign-on bonus, they're putting people to the process. I'm sure they're not, they're barely screening them. I don't even know what that process is like. It's just they're just looking for a certain type of individual. And if you're that type, step right up. Here's your gun. So, how y'all feel about traveling? You feel safe traveling?
SPEAKER_03I mean traveling internationally.
SPEAKER_02I'm so torn on that. One place I wanted to go for 2026 ended up on the list in terms of uh the countries not allowing anyone to come into the US, student visas, travel visas, work visas, all that is getting shut down. So I'm like, okay, well, does it even make sense for me to go? Because at some point people in those countries are going to retaliate on the Americans who are walking around there being very American. Where will we find the list? Like, how do you know which countries are on this list? Is Barbados on the list? Yeah, Barbados is on the list. Thailand was on the list. Thailand come on. Barbados is on the list. Yes. Zimbabwe is on the list. Jamaica is on the list. There's just it's just like ridiculous. Any place you can think of is on that list. Is Greece on the list? No, Greece is not on the list. They are Greece wouldn't be on the list. They are a fair share of European countries on there, but Greece is not on that list.
Training, De‑escalation, And “Bounty Hunter” Culture
SPEAKER_03And I was saying, you know, to someone who I'm not even the name, because I don't even know how stage this conversation is, you know, the level of paranoia continues to increase you know with every news cycle. That when you go to the airport, you expose yourself to another level of scrutiny. So, you know, even just the act of showing up and handing somebody a password, somebody look at you and don't like the way you look or colour your hair, and you say something or blah blah blah blah. And now they, you know, and I and I found out, this was interesting, because I have um global entry. And apparently, if you have like a global entry or TSA, pre-TSA, whatever it's called, which I also have. You have agreed to allow them to scan all of your social media to take your phone and scan all of your social media, and they retain that right even if you discontinue. Like at this point, even if you're not on a flight. No, if just randomly. I decide I don't want global entry anymore. Because that privacy breach is too much for me. I was like, that's just too much. I don't want the service anymore. They retain it for life.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03And the thing is, when I signed up, you know, I didn't even, and I should know about it. I didn't read the file print and everything, but it gives them the right to access all your stuff.
SPEAKER_02Does TSA pre-checks have the same rights?
SPEAKER_03I believe it's TSA, Global, uh, I definitely know it's global.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay. So what are the benefits you get in exchange for giving up your whole life? What benefit do you get to cut a line? Yes. That's it. You get to cut the line.
SPEAKER_03And I think not, well, global entries only to cut the line. TSA is like, I don't want to take my shoes off. But back when we were signing up for these programs, all really name.
SPEAKER_02They didn't tell us that.
SPEAKER_03We didn't, they were living in Trump America.
SPEAKER_02Right. They can't with all these updates. When you get these emails that said, hey, it's a new year. Please look at our updated privacy policy. And sometimes you're like, ah, you don't even really read it. They have been adding, like, even when you look at TikTok since it went into Oracle's hands. I can't even get on TikTok. This past couple of weeks. Like, they keep I I keep getting this. They keep adding things to it. And they bury it in this five-page dense document that we're probably not going to read.
SPEAKER_03But what I feel is at this point, I have signed my rights over to the government in some form or fashion, right? Like, okay, I didn't do it through TikTok, but you got it through global.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The people, whoever the people are, have it, right? I mean, I think the only thing that allows me to sleep at night is I don't really have anything that I think is gonna be interesting to anybody.
SPEAKER_03You know, I don't really have anything like that to hide. But in terms of like these new privacy things, man, y'all way back when we were definitely not even attentive to you know that kind of heightened privacy or whatever.
SPEAKER_02But then now, right, we're getting a global entry to get back into a country who wants to even be in. Yeah. And we can't even go to the countries that we want to go to because we're gonna be earmarked and targeted. So you think they after the blacks, too? I'm just saying. Well I asked her for the news because she didn't want to ask. I was on TikTok and I get some news, but not all. And this woman was people were coming in with the ones who were having issues with their passports and being detained. This woman just said, okay, I've come across eight people this happened to. Seven of them are white women. And she said, and there's a black woman who said, she said, I'ma just leave it at that for y'all.
SPEAKER_03Because do you think internationally the community know this ain't us. Like you, you know how we've been treated.
Consulates, Overreach, And Hiring Concerns
SPEAKER_02So I've heard I've heard that that argument too. I I think they do. I think they do, but even though it feels like in the US we got our own special kind of crazy here, why wouldn't crazy people live every place else? You're American. Even though you're not Trump, obviously. But I'm oppressed. I understand that. I understand that. I'm over here largely for vacation because I've been oppressed over there. So I want to be right now, I want to be over here. Give me a minute over here. We can just gather right there. We can just gather. You know, I I just don't know, and I feel like Europe has always been a life wire for like protests and bombings and train crashes and all that stuff. We're just now catching up to all that, unfortunately. Yeah, it's the air is just so unstable.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's like I can't even give people basic credit for common sense and humanity. And it's really destabilizing. So I'm sorry, I'm sorry. So let's circle back.
SPEAKER_03So we scared to travel, we're not scared to travel. Like, what are we doing with the travel?
SPEAKER_02We find that. I don't know. I'm afraid to travel. I think I'm gonna just say travel. It's always scary traveling. I don't care when you travel, there's always some unsettlement in this world, some way, shape, or form. I remember traveling to Jamaica years back with some family members that I'm not going to mention. And it was like this whole thing that we were we were gonna get, we were gonna get um, I don't know. There was all this I don't know where you're going with this. I don't wait what it was I'm trying I'm trying to get. This is so new and different. I would love to hear more. There was all this crime going on, and we were gonna get shot up and we're gonna get taken and all. I was like, we're going to Jamaica.
SPEAKER_03First of all, it was not an unreasonable unreasonable feeling. Excuse me.
SPEAKER_02Excuse me.
SPEAKER_03Not that I was defending.
Is International Travel Still Safe
SPEAKER_02Are you speaking on this because it's crazy?
SPEAKER_03I think I'm defending her.
SPEAKER_02I don't know who she's talking about. I'm not defending anybody. I'm not I don't know what you're talking about, but I can see how that person, whoever that person is, but they may or may not even, they're probably not even in this room, possibly. So I don't know. I'm just saying, no, but in all seriousness, I think whenever you travel, there's always some level of danger. Um, there's always something lurking around the corner. Literally. That's true on our own shit. That's somebody lurking around the corner at the corner. That's why I for me, unless it's like we're about in full out war or something like that. I don't know. I don't know what it would take me, but right now I don't feel that frightened to not travel right this moment. But the thing that's lurking for me right now is ice is gonna be lurking there to get you when you come off the yeah.
SPEAKER_03See, that was my point. Like, that's what I was saying to this other individual, right? Who I was trying to have them counsel their partner, like be careful because if you're in an airport, you are open to that intense extra scrutiny.
SPEAKER_02So, you know, why particularly if you have any reason to be concerned about status or whatever, why why? And now you just told us to be even more scared because global entry has your whole life exposed.
SPEAKER_03It could say, give me a phone and go, and you have to unlock it and then go through a shit. Because isn't it is it true that you don't have to?
Country “Lists,” Retaliation, And Airport Scrutiny
SPEAKER_02Otherwise, give your phone. They don't you don't have to give, you don't have to unlock it. You don't have to unlock notes. If you have a face scan, you have to, they'll make you. But if you have like a code or something to put in, they can't make you put that code in. You may have to still give the phone over, but they have to figure out how to open it. You're not opening them along that. But this is what I wanted to talk to you guys about. Also, instead of doing global entry, they have the mobile passport control app, which is I don't know what this privacy is about or all that, but it's it pretty much does the same thing now. Of course, it's not across the entire world, it's every airport. It depends on what airport, but since we are here, we could definitely partake in it and it's free.
SPEAKER_03But if they have it's not safe. What do y'all think about this? So the last time I was traveling, this was domestically. You know, they have the new thing now where you just they just scan your irises, and then you don't even have to check your ID. Like you just they scan your irises, and that's how you and that was Keith.
SPEAKER_02They already got you, baby.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they already got you. So everybody's like, I'm not, this is Keith. Because he wouldn't do it we already waited in North Carolina, I think, to my aunt's funeral.
SPEAKER_02And he was like, no, I'm gonna just give you the ID. You don't want to scan. I don't want you to scare my face, you take a they take a picture. They're gonna do both.
SPEAKER_03But they hear me you can refuse. But here's the thing that I I thought. Like, when I walked to this airport, you got me on camera. When I stood on the line, you got me on the camera. When I refuse, you got me on camera right now, refusing to be on camera. Like so there's just no way around.
SPEAKER_02But now you have to give them biometrics. I mean, irises and my people. Like, it's over. Yes, it's over. Big brother is here. I I just can't over. So you might as well take all your trips, do what you gotta do. I think I hear you, and to your point, Lisa. I just think that some people they have to be able to control their own anxieties about what that's everybody has to make, but you're right. Yeah. So, regardless if you think they they have it or not, or whatever, but you have to be able to manage the world that you're living in the best way you can. I'm like going in in Wegmans to buy cabbage and y'all got me. Y'all scanning me.
SPEAKER_03I mean, come on. No, I hear you.
SPEAKER_02So at some point I think like what do we do? But there's a there's a level of defiance that some people have. Like they're like, you may have it, but I'm not offering it. I'm not gonna make it easy for you. I'm not offering.
SPEAKER_03I think for my anxiety level, I have to just go relinquish. Really worried about that. I'm not worried about it. There's not a whole bunch I can do about it. I'm just gonna live.
Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, And Privacy Tradeoffs
SPEAKER_02And if I've made up my mind to travel, trust me, I'm on camera every single yeah of the month. They already got a book on you anyway, so and you have to, and and you know, I don't know, just to for me, I always have to go back to God's word. And yes, this is a very scary world that we live in, but he says, and today's scripture was be anxious for nothing but with prayer and supplication and thanksgiving, make your petition known to God. So at some point I have to, yeah, yes, I know that this is a scary world, but I have to believe that he's covering me. Yeah, and he still wants me to live my life to the fullest and enjoy the amazingness because there's still amazingness in this world that we have not laid our eyes on. And he knows those are some of my desires of my heart is to see the world, and it's been since I was a child. And I don't want to give that up yet. I just don't want to give it up. And you don't just to be you don't just let them soon your irises, just hand them irises over and enjoy your time. But if I don't have to, if I don't have to, why? I don't have to. But like what Lisa said, they even catching you in Wegmans spending$400 for fruit. I mean, like they gonna get you$20,000. The best shopping experience that they have to snowstorm Wednesday. It was the best. I was trying to go there today. I didn't say Wegmans, but I was in uh I'm gonna shop Wegmans tomorrow. I spend my$400 for my fruit. And Marshall's it was you know how Marshalls love to be wanna lovely. Nice parking spot, like the first one on the push road. I just well I'm getting my Irish a scanned at Wigman's tomorrow. Because initially Bro was like, well, that's it for me. I won't be going back. Yeah, I was like, You're going back, bro. I'm going, yeah, I am going back. Get out your system. And you have to decide what kind of life you're gonna lead. You do. I'ma wear a cap, baseball cap, so they can't see my add some shame. I'ma smile and wink and hold up my$400 worth of fruit and just go on from there.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's just crazy. Oh my gosh. It's like, it's just like really, it's a lot though. It's a lot to process and like you wake up to it, and you have to be so intentional on when you're gonna just like shut it off, let it go. Do you guys remember 9-11, right? How it was just such in a bad space. And anytime we stopped ourselves from doing something, it'd be like, well, if we don't do it, that means the terrorists have won. So you gotta do it. So this is actually the same mindset. Just go and live your life, and you just gotta do it. You gotta do it. Because you I mean, you'll be what ifing. But what if? What if? And so many what-ifs. And this is your life. So trust God, keep it moving.
SPEAKER_01Keep it moving, trust God.
Biometrics Everywhere: Iris Scans And Cameras
SPEAKER_02So yeah. But it's really unfortunate that our country has allowed this to happen. Because this is who this is what America is, huh? America has voted all this in, but I mean not to this point. This is America. This is what America is. And I think it is. This Trump nation has just exposed itself and let us see it for who it truly is. All the underbelly. Yeah. No, I didn't say that. Was I saying that I was denying that this is America, but what I'm saying is that we allowed it to be like unleashed to the masses. Because yes, they were ready to unleash it. But what I'm saying is that we we've been living with this, but it's like the underbelly. Now it's for all of us to feel what that is. And that's why I'm saying that we we've allowed that part to just life was a little bit easier when the aggression was passive. It was a little easier.
SPEAKER_03I like my aggressive passion.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know, if we check in off boxes, I I would totally like it. How do you like your aggressiveness?
SPEAKER_03I'll have mine medium, rare, and with a side of passiveness. And it was funny because before that, you were like, you know, I'd rather just be blatant.
SPEAKER_02Why is it not the cover? Say what you mean, mean what you say, until the cover is no longer there. And you're like, put it in the bottle. Put it. Put it back. Put it back. Can we get an extra side of passive, please? But you know, everybody's making mental notes about what this looks like and who's who. So it's definitely colours.
SPEAKER_03Take notes, take notes, take notes. Watch the TikTok again, obviously.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, your favorite news channel. As I'm talking, I'm like, geez, please. Can you at least have a sense of I saw on TikTok? I'ma stop saying, even if it didn't come from TikTok, I'm not sure. You know, I was watching CNN the other day. That is what I'm gonna say. Or MSNBC. Right. I was watching the Lemon The Lemon Report documentary a couple of days ago.
SPEAKER_03And it was a clip of I think it was Minnesota, but it was Somalians.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And, you know, one of their like election leaders, whatever, was waxing poetic about Trump and why they were voting for Trump and you know how they believed safety, and we believe safety, and just when was this? On and on and on. This was the election cycle.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_03Because the thing about it is the internet preserves everything, right? Yeah. So now you just up there, waxing. And I'm sitting there going, look at this dude. And the next clip is Trump, like they're garbage, they're garbage country. Why would we let them in here?
Managing Anxiety, Faith, And Choosing To Live
SPEAKER_02All of them are garbage, blah blah blah. I mean just disintegrated Somalians. Yeah, but I will vote for Donald Trump. I will vote for Donald Trump. Which makes me laugh. Which makes me question who I am as an attempt at my maturity level. Because every time I say I will vote. I will vote of Adoluto. Yeah. And then she's crying about her husband been deported. Oh goodie. He betrayed us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I just thought it was so ironic. I don't know if it's ironic the right word. I'm sorry. I don't know. That they were side by side. And then they interviewed him. I think it was Jake Taper from CNN. See, I can make CNN reference. Okay. That wasn't him. I'm lying. Oh my gosh. You made the reference, though. I did. Yeah, it was sneak that in there, right?
SPEAKER_03But it was actually a black journalist, I forget who, who was asking him, like, are you do you regret voting for Trump? And you know, this guy's like, no, I don't really regret it because I was really voting for the conservative platform and agenda and not necessarily, you know, Trump.
SPEAKER_02But it's not conservatism. Trumpism is not conservative things. Here's the thing. We people throw around these political communism, fascism, and the people throw these terms out and they don't really know the meaning of them. But do you understand what that is? This is your opportunity to say, I don't know what I was thinking. Then I thought, oh, oh, you were misguided. You're dumb. Oh yes. Yeah, right. And the platform counts on it. That's the thing. I was like, oh.
SPEAKER_03I didn't name snake. I didn't say snake. But this is what I'm looking, right? I'm going. Because you know what?
Post‑9/11 Mindset And Keep Moving
SPEAKER_02You can say you got caught up in the rhetoric. You, you know, was were influenced by whatever. Blah blah blah. Oh, you were politically misled. No. I'm stupid. You're stupid. Oh. Yeah. You're dumb. You know, yeah. Oh, shoot. I missed that. And you go, okay. You know, but I'm is you have to really think about what I think we have Northeast college educated lens on. And it's just a very different part of the just the rest of the world is Middle Americans just looks so different. When I was in Indiana. It's true. We were in Gary, Indiana. We're like, okay. Trey Lightning says. I'm like, okay. We are going to go see Michael Jackson's birthplace. Right? So we went to do that. And I would say at least a third of the houses were abandoned. So there's no jobs. There's nothing coming to Gary and whatever fill-in-the-blank place there is. And I thought about it's like, you know what? These people don't care who's in a White House. They want to be able to pay their bills. They want to be able to get some groceries. And they just want to exist.
SPEAKER_03And they want to be able to hate us.
SPEAKER_02And that's well, not necessarily Gary because. Right. But yes.
SPEAKER_03That for many of them is more important than paying your bills. Not for gas. Yeah. But for that demographic.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I I see that.
SPEAKER_03It's more important for them to hate us than to pay their bills. And to have health insurance and to live above the poverty line. And to you know whatever. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02First is hate the black people. Yes. And then and then it's everything else. Yep. And it's amazing.
SPEAKER_03The power of hate. Because y'all destroy yourselves to be able to cut off their nose. Cut off your horse. Yeah, cut their face.
SPEAKER_02And be left with a funny looking face. Because you with a funny-looking face. Yeah. Because now you're noseless. Can't breathe. Can't breathe. The man that cannot be named. Valdemar was named. Yes. And also Bruno. Because we don't talk about Bruno. I think people uh underestimating how important their whiteness is to them. No, no, and that's a big player in this conversation.
SPEAKER_03It really is shocking. Oh my. I mean, we knew there was no like great love loss. But the depth of the the state and the fear.
America’s Underbelly And Open Hostility
SPEAKER_02Because they're buying into the fear that you are no longer the majority, right? The minority is the majority. And your position and your privilege and everything's at stake. And they're willing to set the whole thing on fire. Uh-huh. Like and burn their own house down. Burn it to the ground. Burn it! I just don't get that. It's amazing to me. It's mind-boggling. But you were talking about the Somalians, and maybe I got the information wrong. They were supposedly did some scheme. Who did a scheme? There was the Somalis that did some fraud or something. It was in the news not too long ago. They've done all this fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud. At least that's what Trump said. They said. That's what I was saying. Right. It was in the news, right? And it came to find out that it was untr fortunately unfortunate. It was a woman, a white woman, that was scamming the whole entire Well, what do you know? The whole thing that was saying that they were taking the Somali kids, it was like a school program, something something like that. I don't have all of the I don't remember what you're talking about. I don't remember it. Was it on TikTok? You didn't see it actually. Actually, you didn't see TikTok. The documentary on the BBC. But um And PBS is going away. But speaking of representative Omar, I think that's gonna pick up Sesame Street, though. There's a lot of stuff that goes on in Minnesota. But in Minnesota, she's from Somalia, isn't she? Yeah. She was attacked last night. She was did you see she was she squared up. She was fucking ready to box out. She squared up. Listen, I took a couple dollars on my wallet, putting it on her. What? When I saw her square up like that, and I am staying. I'm not sure. Security trying to rush out me. She's like, get off me. She has to take care of it. Square up.
SPEAKER_03She ran because he was spraying her. Instead of running the other way, she ran towards him. Move in the little security my face, man.
Media, Misinformation, And Minnesota Flashpoints
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That is crazy. What? That is crazy. If you don't play, that's what we're not gonna do. We're not gonna play. What? I tell you. I tell you. This is crazy. It's just a lot. This is a lot going on. It's overstimulating. That's why I gotta go away. This is why I gotta go away. But that's what they want. They want like misinformation, confusion. They got it. They got it. Because obviously, that's what they bring. That's sort of their their MO. I'm just tired of people telling me I didn't see what I just saw, though. Yeah. Just stop, just stop. I saw what I saw. I know. It's from a million different It's so bad. Now they've had to backtrack. Yeah. It's so bad. I'm like, that's a lot for you guys to finally backtrack on anything. And they use big words like domestic terrorism. Terrorism. Domestic who came to massacre. Who uses that every day? That's not one of them big five That's not a big five-syllable word. Brandishing. He was brandishing his weapon. His weapon was concealed until y'all unconcealed it. Jesus, have mercy. It's exhausting. I just can't watch these videos anymore. I'm just taking everybody's word for it. I have not seen that. It's like it's really hard. It's really, really hard. And I know Minnesota right before it's really hard. I hear the shots, but.
SPEAKER_03And I always think about his mother has to watch that. His family has to watch that. Like, I can't imagine. I can't imagine.
SPEAKER_02Huh? Why Minnesota? I know there's a reason why. It's not, it wasn't like haphazard, right? Like why? I'm like, wow, I haven't really paid attention to Minnesota to really understand like why Minnesota. I don't know. It's probably a good testing ground. It's probably better. Oh well, they don't they don't like he doesn't like the governor. Oh, he doesn't like any governor. T Tim Walls. No, he doesn't like he can't stand him. So that's one reason. Yeah. But there's a lot. Even before this, because he would not go he would not take his show to California. Oh no. Somebody's waiting. Philadelphia, New York City. Waiting. They already squared off. They're already squared off. But I just find like George Floyd happened in Minnesota. It was something all this stuff is going on. It's the birthplace of Prince.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_02I'm never gonna go with I'm never going to see Paisley Park. Don't say never. No. I would like to. I would love to too. Not right now. Not right now. Second, no. It's probably safer to go to Greece than it is to go to Minnesota. Right. Minnesota. There's a lot of stuff to go. It's always going on over there. There was some there was another major issue, a major story that came out of Minnesota as well. They said there were some fraud dealings with the childcare payments and daycare. But I don't know what's true or not. But that was the Somali. Oh, that was the Somali fraud. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Oh, I didn't know that was the I have it in my mind as a daycare fraud, not the Somali fraud. I had a mis I had a misfile. Supposedly Somalians running it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02And it wasn't. From what I understand from what I got from TikTok. From that BBC documentary? BBC, yes. Yeah. Via TikTok. Yeah. The BBC be having a lot of documentaries. Don't documentaries be like 30 seconds long. It just be so informative. Very informative. Very informative. And sometimes they have music and voiceovers and stuff, little costumes, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Very informative.
SPEAKER_02So yeah. I don't know. What are we gonna do, ladies?
SPEAKER_01Going to wedgroup to get my irises can and your fruit. Try and get on a plane in a few weeks.
SPEAKER_02Where are you going now?
Whiteness, Fear, And Burning It Down
SPEAKER_01Where am I going? Oh, back to Indiana.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So what's the truth, trash, and transformation? The truth is we ain't a lot of doo doo right now. That's the truth and the trash. But the transformation for me is to lead with the Lord and just stay with him and ask him to continue to cover and keep me, keep my mind, my God, my righteous mind. And keep my body, keep my spirit, keep my family safe. But being transformed through the goodness of God. That's basic. That's all I got. Because when I tell you.
SPEAKER_03You want to sing or do a benediction?
SPEAKER_02Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. But that's real. For real. Dennis, why are you passing this collection plate around? I don't understand. You could expect the fact my kids are going back to college. Oh, I know you need to. Yeah. Please, I got one more still in there. Pass it around for me too. Me too in the bars. Yeah, that's right. Yes. We can end it. We can end it with CC singing it. How about that? Well, for me, the truth, the truth is that the United States is no longer going to exist after this guy gets out of office. And that is the trash as well. We don't even have a democracy. We're gonna have to reinvent government. This is true. What's the transformation?
SPEAKER_03We need some.
SPEAKER_02We need we need each other. See if we were headed for destruction. I needed you to bring it back around, but okay. Community is really gonna bring us back around. Yeah, well I think. Community is really the that's a great point. You know, what's gonna happen? How how we build community. Wow. I think the truth is, I think truth is we are a resilient people. You know, that's what our history tells us. Who exactly are you referring to? Black people. Okay. Just one thing recognized. Black people are resilient people. And we have been known to rise from the ashes. So like the Phoenix. Like the Phoenix. So my money is that we will continue to do that. So that's that's gonna be my truth. Amen. The trash is it's scary out here though.
SPEAKER_03It's a little bit scary. You know, too big some days.
SPEAKER_02I don't even want to leave the house because Wegmans ain't safe. So Wegmans is not a paid sponsor, guys. That's the crazy part. Wegmans is not even safe, not anymore.
SPEAKER_03And the what's the transformation?
unknownSee?
Fraud Narratives, Somali Community, And Spin
SPEAKER_02It's hard. I don't the truth is I feel like I'm seeing clearly for the first time. Without any kind of lens, without any kind of niceties or fake, inauthentic niceties. That is the truth.
SPEAKER_01So it's literally adjusting my eyesight to that world. That's really, really nice. Yes, that is the truth. The trash is the United States of America.
SPEAKER_02Girl.
SPEAKER_03What you say?
SPEAKER_02The United States of America, isn't that something? Right. The transformation. Gosh, I would love to spend some time just thinking to myself what this world could look like again after all this, and if that's something we would even see in our lifetime. I just don't know. Wow. I I just I don't know. It's gonna be different, just like it was different after 9-11. Yeah. We're gonna have to put some bangs in place. Yep. And I've seen what life was like before 9-11. Yep. So, folks, there you have it. Peace out and hang in there and take care.
