S.A.B.R.E.E. is more than a mentoring platform—it is a powerful movement dedicated to helping individuals authentically hold space for themselves by Seizing Abundance Because of Resilience, Empowerment, and Edification. Rooted in the belief that healing and growth begin with self-affirmation, our mission is to uplift historically disadvantaged youth, as well as survivors of domestic violence who wish to positively change the trajectories of their lives, by guiding them toward lasting change and self-discovery.
In honor of my beloved son, Sabree Marquis Daniel, and his beautiful stepmother, Mrs. Renay Daniel, I have recently published my first inspirational memoir, with proceeds directly supporting S.A.B.R.E.E. Enrichment Academy, Incorporated, my 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Through mentorship, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives, we are committed to creating system-wide change by fostering a nonviolent, democratic, and productive environment—a sanctuary where trauma is met with healing, where challenges are met with empowerment, and where every individual is given the tools to reclaim their future.

Cracking the 3P’s: Martin Seligman’s Blueprint for Resilience
Martin Seligman’s 3P’s Model—Personalization, Pervasiveness, and Permanence—is a psychological framework that explains common cognitive patterns individuals experience when faced with adversity. These patterns, if unchecked, can hinder resilience and recovery. Personalization refers to the tendency to blame oneself for negative events, assuming undue responsibility for outcomes beyond one's control. Overcoming this involves recognizing external factors and fostering self-compassion. Pervasiveness is the belief that a single negative event will affect all areas of life, creating an all-encompassing sense of despair. Building resilience requires compartmentalizing the event and acknowledging that not all aspects of life are affected. Permanence involves viewing setbacks as lasting forever, rather than temporary hurdles. Developing an optimistic outlook and focusing on the transient nature of challenges can help reframe this perception. Seligman’s model provides a valuable tool for cultivating resilience by challenging these limiting beliefs, fostering a more balanced perspective, and empowering individuals to navigate adversity with strength and optimism.
