Liv Monturo
Liv Monturo is a 6-year member of Messiah University's women's basketball program and current graduate student at Messiah. Liv was medically unable to play basketball for the first 3 years of her time at Messiah after it was discovered that her heart was missing a coronary artery during a routine physical. However, just in time for her senior year, she was finally cleared to play. Despite not playing for 3 years, in the 3 seasons she got to play after, she averaged 24.9 points per game, and collected 1,091 points.
She shared on Beyond The Scoreboard on March 14th, 2026 her testimony and how God worked in her life while she endured that waiting season, including her decision to be baptized just before she learned she would be cleared to play basketball once again.
