We explore the decline of emotional intelligence and the impact of a culture that prioritizes feelings over common sense. You know, people that are the worst are people that are offended by everything. It's like you don't really have a cause that's specific. You're just like blanket triggered by everything. And then you decide that you want to yell at the top of your lungs at other people about whatever it is that you didn't like that was happening. It's like if you're not willing to get off the couch and do something about it, maybe shut your pie hole. Right. I don't know. Just like a thought. I look at people that um are offended because someone said something wrong or called something, something that wasn't the right name, or oh, that is offensive to me because so and so whatever. Just because you're offended doesn't make you right. Just because you want to use your voice as loud as you can and like silence somebody else because you start calling people names and getting completely uh belligerent about things doesn't make you right. It just makes you sound like a ding-dong. You know, so I listen to people where it's like they get into things and you can't say something that might piss somebody off, right?

SPEAKER_01

Give us an example from the show of somebody that in the comment section, if somebody who's just looking to be offended by everything, because I know you get these comments, and I feel like you got to put some of that on blast because it's I think hilarious, but it might uh it might really frame this for our listeners.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I'm trying to think of something that um I don't even know because I don't really pay much attention to all of that as far as the comments are concerned. I think people get real worked up on the racism thing. You know, any of the racism stuff that gets posted, any of the stuff that I've talked about with either Jason or uh any of the other people that have been on where it's like divisive, people get real offended by different things that are said and like who can say something and who can't say something. Like, just so everyone knows, there's no fucking rules. Like, I don't know who's putting these rules into place of like I'm white, so I can't say this, or he's black, so he can't say, you know, something, or people that get into this whole like, well, he's lighter skinned, so he isn't like a full black person. Like, I don't even know what the fuck that is supposed to mean. Like, everybody can have whatever opinion they want. If it's not your vibe, change the fucking channel. Like, I don't understand people that stay plugged into something that offends them and then spend their energy on making comments about stuff. Like that to me, I I will never understand that. If I'm on social media and I'm looking at something and it's like, that's not my vibe. I just keep scrolling right on past. I don't go, let's get in those comments. Get in those comments. Although I know a lot of people do, right? So I've talked to people too where they're like, oh, I fucking love the comments. I don't even care about the posts. I just want to get into the comments. And I look and I think it's a lot of ding-dongs out there. A lot of ding-dongs out there. Like the stuff that's happening, uh, the one post that's pretty funny is the traffic merging. People are losing their fucking minds over merging traffic. And I look at that and I think, what is happening, you guys? Like, what is it about that post specifically that has everybody fucking worked up? I don't get it, right? Like, I've I've I've pushed into somebody's ego, I've called some people some fucktards or something.

SPEAKER_01

You just called out anyone who's a bad driver who deep down knows it, right?

SPEAKER_00

They are losing it. It's so funny to me though, because that whole thing is like wrong. And then people are offended because it's like, oh, that person said whatever, this person, you know, made a comment about whatever. And it's like, what is happening out there? It's the the elementary level of emotional intelligence that fucking is bred in all of our people. It is so hard to find somebody that has a fucking elevated emotional intelligence level. I can't even tell you. I'm I'm disappointed on the daily at how many people just go around offended at things. Uh, you know, oh, they feel like they're being targeted about something. They feel like, oh my God, I can't believe, can you believe so-and-so said whatever? I'm like, yes, do you know what's happening out there? We're eating babies and fucking children. Like, that's where we are right now. That you should not be offended by anything. Like, if I woke up tomorrow morning with my fucking head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be surprised. This is what's happening in our world right now. Things are completely outrageous. Like, be offended if you want to, but know that you've just intentionally stepped in dog shit that you could have just fucking walked around. Don't people understand that that's what's happening? Energy is everything. And most of us are spending it like drunk gamblers at a Vegas blackjack table. My book is built around one simple but powerful tool: quantifying your energy so you know exactly where it's going and how to get more of it back. Think of it as a manual for your soul's fuel tank. If you're tired of running on empty, this book will show you how to fill back up and keep yourself in the game long enough to actually win. SPEAKER_01

It's like through the door.

SPEAKER_00

It is, it's like that that's your energy you decided you wanted to plug into. You realize that's a choice, right? When you sit on the socials and you get offended by fucking somebody else that's some keyboard warrior from his fucking in his pajamas in his living room, you guys are just jerking each other off back and forth. No real fucking conversation, just I'm offended, fuck you, I'm offended, fuck you. You didn't understand. No one like goes and gets the full context of anything anymore. They see two seconds of a clip, clutch their fucking pearls, spit out some fucking outraged, you know, comment and about being offended about something, and then have the fucking sack to try to take that shit into real world and talk to fucking people in person about how stupid that is. You were stupid to fucking get involved in it in the first place. Now I have to listen to you complain about it. Go fuck yourself. Like, literally, I have zero interest in people that that decide they want to cause their own suffering by fucking sticking their shit where it doesn't fucking belong, and then being pissed off because somebody said something that didn't agree. Hey, newsflash, we're not all supposed to agree on everything. Don't people understand that? Like, we all are gonna have different opinions on literally everything, right? I think about that when I come with these fuck you's because the next one we're getting ready to do is gonna be really interesting. And also, just unfollow me now. Just unfollow me fucking now. I have lots of big opinions about a lot of different things.

SPEAKER_01

But some people really just love to like rage bait themselves by continuing to follow. Right. They like get really like into it. They're like, well, I can't unfollow because this lady pisses me off so much that I'm just gonna keep following, I'm gonna keep commenting. And like they think somehow it's gonna impact the end result of what you do. Yeah, no, which it won't.

SPEAKER_00

Couldn't care less.

SPEAKER_01

But they are literally just wasting their time in this.

SPEAKER_00

That to me, I don't understand. It's like, go find something productive to do with your time. I'm not for everybody, but for the people that I am for, they ride hard for me, right? Like I'm opinionated, I'm willing to say all the fucking things, I'm passionate about the things that I believe in. I don't think that I'm right on everything. I I get proved wrong all the fucking time. And also, I have a high enough EQ that I can go, ah, new information. Let me see if I can expand my consciousness and and stretch my mind to, you know, to think about different things. Does that mean I'm always going to change my mind? No, not necessarily. I'm very comfortable in the things that I feel. And also, I don't come from this place of like, oh, someone questioned what I thought, how how offended I'm going to be. No, you can think whatever you want. Isn't that so beautiful? If you would just keep that in your yard, that would be great. I'll keep my trees in my yard, you keep your trees in your yard, right? We can talk about our differences, isn't that so lovely? I think where everybody gets to this point of, I'm pushing myself on you, you're pushing yourself on me. We don't have to do that. We can all just coexist. We can all just say, we're humans, and I think that's what's so beautiful about this whole and project thing, because it's like, I'm a human first, and also I'm a woman, and also I'm you know what I mean? And you can just keep adding to that a mother and a wife and a, you know, all of the things. But but first I'm a human, right? First, before I'm white, I'm a human. Before I'm a woman, I'm a human. And we've gotten to this place where people go with their and and and and and all the way down, especially on the trans conversation that we had. Your and and and and and all the way down. And then you want everybody to make a system that caters to you, fuck off. Fuck off. It's not happening, right? And I'm not coming at it from a place of hate. I fucking think everyone is great. But we're not gonna fucking take the exceptions and force the rule to work around them because we don't have an emotional intelligence big enough to understand that sometimes Johnny gets left behind. Sometimes we have to come up with a different system that isn't going to include him feeling included in everything that we already have going on. Does that mean the system doesn't need to change? Sure, we should change the systems for different things. Not not that. That's that's the wrong thing. That's the wrong thing. That's we're supposed to be doing for the majority what is the right thing, and then figuring out and taking care of those exceptions, not the other way around.

SPEAKER_01

Because we have to make sure that nobody's upset.

SPEAKER_00

So this one I have very strong opinions about because we all make the team. Because we all make the team now. This is one step up from everyone gets participation trophies. One step in the worst direction. In the worst direction, right? So so we took the step and we said everyone gets participation trophies. Do me a favor, if you're listening, just go check out that World Wide Web and ask what are some of the things that came from participation trophies? And I think what you'll find is all of the things that everyone goes, ooh, that's fucked up, that didn't go well, that's not great, that's um not amazing, all of those things that came from participation trophies. We decided we're gonna double down on that and now not even have kids try out. There's no competition, there's no any of that because we don't want anyone's feelings to be hurt.

SPEAKER_01

Your feelings get hurt when there's only 10 people on the team who can be on the field at once, right? But there's 40 who are sitting on the bench because everybody made the team.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But you're still not gonna get to play. So make that make sense.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Maybe what we should do is put the just a suggestion from somebody from the sidelines that doesn't even have kids in school anymore. Maybe what we should do is teach our young people emotional intelligence, and then they could take it home and share it with their parents. Wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't that be the ultimate Trojan horse? Okay, we need to just come up with a solution here. We're gonna need school teachers to kind of lock it up a little bit and let's gear things more towards emotional, because these kids don't know how to use this. This is your compass in life, not something we're supposed to push down and numb on top of. But that's what we've done. And then anytime you touch somebody else, they're offended, they're triggered, they're, oh my God, I can't believe that you said this. Fix your own shit. Like, literally, fix your own shit. This is not everybody else to tiptoe around you so that they don't offend you, Karen. Fix your own shit. And that's all we're gonna say about that.
