Let's Get Naked
Let's Get Naked isn't about getting naked physically.
It's about stripping away the excuses, the ego, the victim stories, the BS we've all been dragging around, and taking an honest look in the mirror.
Every week, Anne Karber sits down with incredible guests—and occasionally goes off on her own—to tackle the conversations most people avoid. Emotional maturity. Relationships. Success. Failure. Trauma. Politics. Parenting. Addiction. Leadership. Money. Fear. Identity. Personal responsibility. Nothing's off limits.
If you're looking for polished interviews full of rehearsed talking points and inspirational clichés...you're probably in the wrong place.
If you're ready to laugh, get uncomfortable, challenge your own thinking, and maybe realize you've been making your own life harder than it needs to be...welcome.
Around here we believe:
- You can disagree without becoming enemies.
- Your triggers are teachers.
- Your past explains you, but it doesn't excuse you.
- Personal responsibility is freedom.
- Fixing your own shit is one of the greatest gifts you can give everyone around you.
Some episodes will make you laugh.
Some will punch you in the emotional face.
The best ones usually do both.
So pull up a chair, leave your ego at the door, and...
Let's Get Naked.
Disclaimer (Because Apparently We Need One)
Let's get a few things straight...
I'm not a therapist. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not a psychiatrist. I'm not your life coach. I don't even play one on the internet.
I'm just a curious human who has spent a ridiculous amount of time fixing my own shit, talking to fascinating people, asking uncomfortable questions, and occasionally saying the quiet part out loud.
This show is full of stories, opinions, observations, questionable analogies, wildly inappropriate laughter, and an unhealthy amount of oversharing. If something resonates, awesome. If it inspires you to look at your own life a little differently, even better.
But this podcast is not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or permission to text your ex.
If your life is genuinely kicking your ass, please go talk to someone who's actually qualified. Asking for help is badass.
Also, the opinions shared here belong to us, our guests, and whoever was brave enough to sit in front of the microphones that day. They don't represent our employers, sponsors, families, neighbors, or anyone else who'd probably prefer plausible deniability.
Now that we've handled the grown-up stuff...
Take what serves you.
Leave what doesn't.
And for the love of all things holy...
Fix your shit.

This candid discussion aims to spark critical thinking about the future of women's sports and explore alternative solutions for inclusivity.

You know what's really fucked up? That we allow men in women's sports. I have spent a really long time with my head in the sand as to what is happening out in society, mainly because I think it's a lot of garbage and I think people are fucking crazy. In poking my head out a little bit and kind of just doing a little bit of an assessment on what's happening out there, my doors are blown off. Because people tell me stories about where things are right now in athletics for women's sports, for allowing transgender folks to come and men to play in women's sports at all levels, at young levels, at levels that uh are competitive, where you have women that have trained their entire lives to then go compete against men. It just seems outrageous to me. So I come from this place where I'm a make it make sense kind of girl. And I can't get my head around that we're even in this position to have men play in women's women's sports. How did that go down the first time where someone was like, we gotta let Johnny play because we don't want him to feel excluded? Like, I don't understand how that even gets to that point where we don't have parents if we're at the under 18 level, or just girls in general who are okay with that. Because if you have a whole team of women that someone comes and says, We're now going to be competing, where John is gonna, we're gonna call him Joan now, and don't worry, he's gonna tape his dick back so that it doesn't stick out and we're going to let him compete in our sports because we don't want Joan to feel left out. Go fuck yourself. Like hundred percent go fuck yourself. How are we at this place? Every time I poke my head out, I go, what is happening? Like I just I can't even get my fucking head around how that's happening. Who who are the dads that said, oh sure, sure, John is now on the girls' high school volleyball team. What in the fuck is happening? I don't have young kids anymore. So this is to me like I just can't even get my head around that. If my daughters had come home and said, this young man is now playing, he's gonna be in our locker room, he's going to be changing with us, riding on the bus with us, competing with us. Uh, no, he's not. That's what happens. We ride at fucking dawn at my house. And so I look at this and I go, how is this possible? How have we gotten to this place where we talk about trans to the extent that we do and the amount of resources that have gone towards this and the amount of outrage and the amount of everything? Are there not more people on this planet who think that men in women's sports is outrageous? How do we get to where we are allowing this?
SPEAKER_01Three seasons ago, Target did an entire summer drop of clothing, and it included a massive for June, um, ahead of Pride Month bathing suits where you could be wearing a one-piece bathing suit as a man, but it would hide your penis. Um, and people were outraged. People were boycotting Target. It was all over the news, which you weren't watching, and it was horrifying. Walking into Target, you were like, am I living in like the most fucked up dystopia on the planet? Absolutely insane. And they had children's ones, like little kids. I'm not even kidding. In the children's section, we ride at school we're going crazy.
SPEAKER_00We ride at fucking dawn. Like, how that has not gotten to a place where we've done something different about it. I live my little eight-year-old brain does not fucking compute. It does this, make it make sense. And I think this obviously does not make sense. This clearly does not make sense. Not that I'm I'm not anti-John, Joan, whoever the fuck at all. Go take care of whatever you need to, but we're not going to do this in women's sports. We're not going to allow this in women's sports for a hundred different fucking reasons. We can list them alphabetically if you need to, but we're not doing this. And I don't give a fuck if somebody is offended or outraged or clutching their fucking pearls because we didn't include Joan, John, whatever. I don't give a fuck. I think the idea that we are fucking forcing other girls to fucking have to compete at this level where uh a man comes in and fucking just makes anything that you ever dreamed your entire life that you can do. We've told our girls they can do anything they want to do. And you bring in someone that is not, you know, they're not bringing their A game as far as physically, or they would be competing with fucking men, right? Energy is everything. And most of us are spending it like drunk gamblers at a Vegas blackjack table. My book is built around one simple but powerful tool: quantifying your energy so you know exactly where it's going and how to get more of it back. Think of it as a manual for your soul's fuel tank. If you're tired of running on empty, this book will show you how to fill back up and keep yourself in the game long enough to actually win. Get your copy of the Life Hack Playbook on Amazon or on the podcast website, let's get nakedpodcast.com. And then they're just going to just destroy. I mean, that you tell me stories about somebody in volleyball whose face got fucking smashed because some dude, you know, spiked it in her face. No shit. We don't need science to say that men biologically are different than women. If we're still having that fucking discussion, you guys are ding dongs. Complete fucking ding dongs and morons. Men and women are not fucking biologically the same. I don't have to be a fucking doctor to tell you that. That's outrageous. The fact that we are catering to this and then fucking the people that are offended that want to make sure that little Johnny is included, fuck off. Fuck off. The people that are the common sense people, we're going to need to speak up a little bit now. This has gotten to be completely outrageous. I can't be the only one that's offended by this. Don't send your kids to the fucking schools. If your kid is on, if your daughter is on a team that's going to play against somebody that has a boy on it, I would sit out. I would forfeit. Forfeit the whole thing.
SPEAKER_01You're looking for that in our most recent Olympics, we had countries that were allowing the transgenders to decide what's what side of the sport that they were gonna participate in.
SPEAKER_00I wouldn't watch the Olympics ever again.
SPEAKER_01That's that's how I feel about that. I am an Olympics aficionado, I love it because it's the best of the best. You've trained your whole life. I grew up with a bunch of Olympians in Baltimore, and it was just incredible how talented they were. Yeah. Um, but yeah, I mean, the insanity has gotten to the top level.
SPEAKER_00The insanity is at the top level. It has to be, just based on the stories that people tell me, because you tell me this shit about Target, you tell me this shit about some of the other stuff. And I just sit here and go, Well, Target got boycotted.
SPEAKER_01So they course corrected because they were like, oh shit, people are mad. The only news that anybody was talking about related back to Target was so now they're like, okay, none of that. Like, you don't find any of that stuff in the store anymore. But the fact that that was mainstream enough. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. If you're looking for Johnny slash Joan to get a bathing suit that works with all that, there's some weird retailers online that you can probably do that. We don't need it to be when we take hundreds of kids to the store to buy some groceries that they're seeing this and normalizing it. And that's the biggest problem, I think. Yeah. Is that do you remember it used to be uh LGBT like awareness? And now there's like 15 letters after that, and we just keep adding to it, which I think is just like adding to the craziness.
SPEAKER_00I think it is too. And also I think, you know, I I have gay people that I know at my table of life that are really tired of being piggybacked on. Oh yeah. Yeah, because it's like, why do we have to take all of this, right? Like this is like this is not anything to do with us. This has nothing to do with that, right? And so it's like we're just they're just hijacking the entire situation. You know, as far as the you know, men and women's sports, women have fought as hard as we have to be able to have our own seat at the fucking table. To be Olympians, exactly.
SPEAKER_01There was a time where the Olympics actually have women's sports.
SPEAKER_00And now we're just going to let men come in. It's outrageous, ladies. It's outrageous. Here's what I'm gonna suggest. Here's what I'm gonna suggest to wrap this one up. Let's create transformer sports that are just specific to whichever sex you want to be. You can come, you can be whatever. You can tell people what you are, you don't have to tell people what you are. Tape it back, don't fucking tape it back, cut it off, don't fucking cut it off. No one gives a shit. Uh, I think we could start with flag football. I think that's a fucking great idea. I would actually prefer to watch that over the NFL. So it's not like you're not gonna get traction, but let's just call it what it is. Let's stop trying to force trans people onto women's sports teams because we all can agree that that's fucking outrageous. It's ridiculous. And if you believe in that, go fuck yourself. Literally, 100% from start to finish, go fuck yourself. You're a fucking ding dong, you're a fucking moron, you're a complete fuck tart if you think that that should be. That we have to explain to our little girls, hey, try hard, but in case John wants to be Joan and come in, not only do you have to figure out how to make that work in the girls' locker rooms, but now you're gonna have to figure out how all of these things, because we don't want him to feel left out. Fuck that, fuck that. We're gonna have to leave him out. We're gonna have to let him sit the bench on this one. But let's create some sports that are co ed that we can absolutely have. Because I maintain that would be really fun to watch. I'm I'm all for that. It doesn't maybe it isn't gonna work for every single sport. Everything isn't for everyone. That's not how this works, right? So that's all we're gonna say about that.
