SPEAKER_01

Hey everyone, I'm Anne. Welcome to the Let's Get Naked podcast, where we dive deep into vulnerability. In this space, we'll explore what triggers us, uncover the patterns holding us back, and discover how to take charge of our own growth. If you're ready to dig in, be vulnerable, and face the tough stuff, then buckle up. It's time to get naked. Today we're walking straight into the minefield: media fear-mongering, free speech, immigration, abortion, guns, religion, race, DEI, climate change. Basically, all the topics guaranteed to get people unfriended at Thanksgiving. And here's the interesting part most people aren't actually trying to solve these problems anymore. They're trying to win them. We've become a society of attorneys arguing a case instead of citizens solving a problem. Because solving requires curiosity. Winning only requires certainty. And certainty is having a hell of a moment right now. Everybody already knows the answer. Everyone has picked a team. Everybody has their talking points loaded and ready to fire. But after decades of screaming at each other, how's that working out? Seriously. Are we closer? Are we more united? Do we understand one another better? Or have we simply become more sophisticated at hating people who disagree with us? The dirty little secret nobody talks about is that most of these issues aren't actually one-sided. Immigration requires both compassion and security. Free speech requires both an open mouth and an open mind. Climate change requires both environmental stewardship and economic reality. Race conversations require both accountability and grace. Religion requires both standing firm in your values and leaving room for others to stand firm in theirs. Most of life's hardest problems don't live in the word or, but they live in the word and. And that's where people get uncomfortable. Because the moment you acknowledge the other side has a point, your team starts looking at you like you've joined a cult. We've created a culture where nuance is treated like betrayal. We're asking questions, it gets mistaken for weakness. We're changing your mind, it gets interpreted as losing. We all bring to the table our own unique ingredients that make up our individual recipes. Luckily, what a boring world it would be if 8 billion people thought exactly the same way. Different perspectives aren't a bug in the system, but they're the feature. The problem isn't that we disagree. The problem is that we've forgotten how to disagree without trying to destroy one another. The smartest people in the room are usually the ones still willing to admit they don't have all the answers. The people most capable of solving problems are the ones willing to sit in the discomfort of complexity. Because the moment you believe you've got everything figured out is usually the moment you stop learning. Because reality is complex. Human beings are complex. And if the answer belonged to any one political party, ideology, religion, or way of thinking, we'd have found it by now. We would have solved all this shit already. Instead, we've built entire industries around keeping us angry. Fear sells. Outrage, it sells. Division, sells. And clicks, they sell. But solutions, solutions are boring. Solutions require listening. Solutions require compromise. Solutions require admitting that maybe, just maybe, the person standing across from you isn't your enemy. They're another human being trying to navigate this giant mess called life. Imagine if we spent half the energy solving problems that we currently spend proving we're right. Imagine what would happen if people became more interested in understanding than defeating. Imagine if the goal wasn't victory. Imagine if the goal was progress. Because the future doesn't belong to the loudest voices. It belongs to the people willing to build bridges while everyone else is busy burning them down. So today, we're not asking who's right. We're asking what actually works. And that conversation starts right now. Let's get into it. Today I'm stripping it all off with my person Cameron. Welcome to the show. You know, Cameron keeps agreeing to be on the show with me, and I just chuckle in my soul every single time because you never know what you're walking into. And I think he's known that for the last 25 years of just holding on to the and train. And here we are. So um welcome. Thanks for coming and being willing to share all of the things that happen in your brain.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, thank you. You know, it was a it was a great intro. I know I say that a lot, but uh I don't want to say I really mean it this time, but I want to say that uh this one was uh it notably better. I mean, it was great. Thank you. Yeah, excellent. A lot of really, really, really good stuff in that one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

So can't can't wait to expand on that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh god, I can't either. You know, we we put the list of the stuff together when we were sitting around the table last night talking about okay, what are some of the biggest things that people really get uh worked up about? You know, fear and divisive and all of the stuff. And that was the list that I did at the beginning of the intro. And I know we may not get to all of those things because there's so much involved in it, but I really wanted to come from this place of solutions because Cameron and I, it's one of the things in our businesses, in our personal lives, in all of the things that um when you when you really come from that perspective of looking for solutions rather than looking for excuses or fingers to point or people to blame, um, it just changes the whole narrative, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Well, even more than changing the narrative, it gets rid of the background noise, right? Once you find the solution, there's no longer the noise under the program running in the background either. So it's it's easier to move forward and it's easier to do, you know, one less thing on your plate, one less thing running on the back of your mind. So I I dig solutions, I'm all about it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm all about solutions as well. You know, I look at this place that we are, and I I've mentioned this before that um I've spent a lot of time with my head in the sand because it just didn't pay to pay attention. And I always um have maintained that Cameron is the one that keeps an eye on what's happening out in this world.

SPEAKER_04

That's scary.

SPEAKER_01

And and it's true, right? I mean, it's well for anyone who knows me, that's it's it's very true. And and whether people are, you know, think that that's disturbing or that I'm not and that I'm not paying attention to what's happening around me, um, I don't give a fuck. Like that's that's that's the way I decide to engage with this life, but I've poked my head up recently in the last couple of months, and and like I said before, you guys were in worse shape than I thought.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, I gotta say that uh as I continue to drink the Kool-Aid, I feel like I'm getting further and further out of touch with with what's going on, right? So uh so for you to use me as a reference, you know, for knowledge or information or whatever, is uh starting to get a little bit sketchy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but here's the thing, I know, but here's the thing about that. I don't think that you're getting away from what's happening out there. I just think you're looking at it from a different POV instead of being one of the people that's on your side. So for everyone that uh doesn't know Cameron, Cameron used to be very much so plugged into things politically, plugged into things, um, a lot of stuff, a lot of the divisive things that are happening out there. And as he's drank the Kool-Aid, because that's what we call the cult that I'm starting, and it's not a cult, just so everyone knows. Um, but but just this way of hey, we're not all meant to agree, you know, and it's okay that you have your morals and your values, but for me, I believe that the the politics and the media and the big pharma, I think that's all a circus. I think everything about all of that shit is a circus. And so if you're coming from this perspective of defending your side, whether you're Republican or Democrat or or what, you know, whatever the side is, I think you're wrong. And and and no offense, I just I think it's all I think it's all a circus. And so when you realize, it doesn't matter whether you're, I guess I shouldn't say I think you're wrong. It's not that I think you're wrong. I just I think it's silly. I don't think that's real life.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I think it's a terribly scripted reality show.

SPEAKER_01

It's a terribly scripted reality show. And it is, you know, once you can kind of see the strings behind the, you know, that are that are operating the puppets, it's like, why are you guys giving your energy to that? Because to me, I again, your energy is your most valuable resource. And they profit off of taking that from you every day. Every day. You wake up, you don't even hit, you know, your feet don't even hit the floor, and you're looking at your phone at whatever the latest thing is to be outraged about. You guys, we're not meant to know all of the fucked up things that are happening in the world, which is why I keep my head in my world where it is, which means I'm paying attention to my own energy, my family, my, my, you know, people that I work with, uh, the people in my community, I do the things that I have an impact. Is it sad that there are fucked up things that are happening all over the world? Absolutely. But I can't be effective if I'm not boots on the ground in my own life, trying to make an impact in my own life for what calls to me right here. So if I get on the on the on the horn and on the tube every day and look at, oh my God, look at this thing that's happening over there, and they're separating mothers and they're doing this and they're doing that. I get it. But my kids are sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me to do something. And if I come in, my nervous system is shot, I'm dysregulated because I haven't, you know, been able to get grounded and I and I'm looking at all these things that are happening in other states or other countries or you know, even down the street from my house. I've missed it. I've missed it. And so so many people think like, what do you think you're doing by throwing your hate and your fear and your rage out there? Right. You're scramming into the void. You're not making change, right? So if you think that you're doing any good, get real curious about what that looks like, because I think that's the biggest part of the problem is should we all be outraged that we're eating babies and fucking children now? Yes, we absolutely should be outraged. And also, what can you do in your own, in your own orbit, in your own community to make this world a better place?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I've personally vouched you not eat a baby or fuck a child. I mean, fuck, I mean, that's an easy one. It's that's an easy one. That that fuck stops with me, right? I can't speak for everybody else, but for me, I can speak.

SPEAKER_01

I realize that when I say that, there's gonna be people that clutch their pearls and get offended. But it's like, you know, for years I have told Cameron when he comes home and tells me something, or when someone tries to put all of this bullshit on me, I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. Please stop. And I've done this for years, you guys. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. I don't want to know, I don't want to know because you just couldn't surprise me anymore. So when that happened, where it's like on the news, we're eating babies and we're fucking children, it's like, okay. I mean, someone tells me we're coming up with names, terms, because we don't want pedophiles to be offended that we call them pedophiles. So now we call them like, what do we what do we call them? Tell me, please.

SPEAKER_02

Minor attracted people.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Like, get the fuck out of here.

SPEAKER_02

The euphemisms are they're out of control. We need to, we need, we really need to be able to use our language and call things what they are instead of trying to obfuscate, you know, the reality.

SPEAKER_01

A hundred percent. And so it's like, you know, speak speaking of that, coming from that angle, we're not doing that. We're just gonna use the language that it is, understand that the intent behind it is the intent behind it, right? When somebody says that's gay, that isn't anything against, you know, homosexual people. That's because we've you know been saying that for a hundred years. Don't try to take that away. That has nothing to do with it. Or or that's retarded. You know, I'm telling a friend, like, you can say that again. And you know, and our daughter's like, I never stop saying it. Not from a perspective of being offensive, but we're not gonna all do that. We're not gonna clutch our pearls and then go, oh my God, you can say that or you can't say this. It's like, we're we're I'm not calling pedophiles uh, you know, some other name to make somebody fucking comfortable. Don't touch the fucking kids, okay? Can we just all agree that we're not gonna fucking do that? And if we are, we should all fix that problem. Let's come up with a solution to deal with the fucking pedophiles that doesn't include uh renaming them so that fucking Karen isn't offended by whatever the name is or the label is. Knock it off, right? It's the same thing with all of the things that are going on in this world. It's like, oh, you can't say, you can't say fat or you can't say whatever. It's like, I'm not being offensive to somebody that's fat, but if you're using something to describe somebody, that is actually I've been fat in my life, I've been not fat in my life. Factually accurate. It's factually accurate. Does that hurt your feelings? It's not my intent. Exactly. It's not my intent.

SPEAKER_02

But you know, that's that's the honest apath.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Like I'm not, I'm done working around everybody else's feelings because we've all understood, or maybe not all of I've understood the lack of emotional intelligence that happens in the masses, right? Out in the out among the people is embarrassing.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't realize how fucking bad it was. Like I knew I was in bad shape. And then I look around like, oh my God, this is really bad out there, you guys. And so, in order to for you not to be triggered or for you not, you know, to have things that are comfortable, oh my God, I had somebody comment on a post because I said something about if you feel like you're immune to compromise, it goes, I it isn't about feeling. And I'm like, oh fuck, do you know what it takes to come sit here for a fucking hour and just let my mouth run? I say all sorts of things that I'm not suggesting that being immunocompromised is a fucking feeling or not a feeling. I'm if you're immunocompromised, you 1000% are. And if that's what you got offended at, Karen, go take your pearls somewhere else. This isn't the fucking channel for you. I say shit all the time. That's completely outrageous. So, anyways, I'm gonna put my soapbox away.

SPEAKER_04

All right.

SPEAKER_01

All right, let's got it.

SPEAKER_04

All right.

SPEAKER_01

I get real passionate. All right, let's get to it. What do we got? What do we got here? No. So you want to talk about fear mongering? That was the first thing that was on the list.

SPEAKER_02

I'll talk about whatever you like.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so so fear mongering, I think, is a really, a really big component of what's happening out there because it covers all of the things, right? You can you can do the fear mongering from any of the other items that we're that we're looking at. So that's kind of one of the overarching things. Um, tell me what you think about about that just in general.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think that fear is the number one means to control, right? If if I can get you to be afraid of something, I can predict your actions from there, right? If I get you afraid of certain things, whatever, I can I can push you to act in a certain way, right? And I think that there's uh a lot of the stuff that happens uh with current events on the news and things like that that aren't necessarily presented factually, they're presented in a manner to instill fear to create some sort of a reaction from the audience, right? And and it if you look at the if you look at the news or you or you read articles with with that kind of uh lens and you look for it, it's it's obvious. Like it's as plain as day that uh that there's an ulterior motive on just about every piece of media that you read. And it's uh, you know, it's uh it's shameful that it's so effective, right? That's the that's they're preying on people's lack of emotional intelligence. They're they're they're just preying on people in general. Yes, lack of emotion, emotional intelligence, yeah, one 100%, but they're preying on people, right? They're they're preying on people, and it uh and all that it does in in most cases is uh is so dissension, right? I mean, that's the the divisiveness or whatever. That's how they present the stories, right? They they come out and they they make bold statements that aren't necessarily true, or they make assumptions that uh maybe have even been unproven before they say stuff like that in order to polarize people, right? And now I've polarized you, I've got you afraid of this, I've got you afraid of them, I've got you afraid of whatever. And so now I can get you to to read what the next line is, right? And then let me get you with the hook and I'm gonna pull some action in at the end of it or whatever to you know, tune into this or buy this or don't do this or vote this way or you know, whatever. I mean, every everybody almost seems like seems like everybody that's talking nowadays has a motive of of some sort that's not necessarily pure. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and and and it all comes down to literally um the predatory nature of that, and then trying to take you of your most res valuable resource, right? Understanding that your attention, your energy, your focus, that's your most valuable resource. If you can hang on to that and utilize that for the things that you're passionate about and the things that really drive you and the and the goals that you have, you're unstoppable. You win, they lose. You fucking win, right? Like that's the whole thing. I'm like, I'm trying to explain to people. I don't care what you believe. We don't have to agree on everything. I'm not even trying to convince anybody about the stuff that I believe. Just understand what your most valuable resource is. It's not your fucking time, it's not your fucking money. It is literally your energy, your energy. And they are taking it from you and you don't even realize it. So it's like, open your eyes, you guys.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, or read the Life Hack playbook. It's all about energy, right? I mean, if you're gonna, if you're if you're gonna if if we're gonna get to it, let's just get to it.

SPEAKER_01

Let's just get to it.

SPEAKER_02

Just buy the book and read about it. You understand everything about energy. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you read chapter one. If you don't want to read the whole book, read chapter one. It's like 10 pages. It'll make you see energy in a way that you can actually work with. I got a text this morning from from a guy that I'm working with right now, and he uh has been listening to the book on Audible. And he's telling me, like, I listen to it multiple times a week because I'm getting new nuggets out of it every single time. And and no, excuse it, is listening to it from start to finish is like four hours or something, right? If you're able to get a hold of some life hacks and some things that make you see and visualize things in a different way, where you can just understand, like, oh shit, that is how that is happening. You're able to keep your own energy. This man is telling me about how he's being able to plug in with his kids. He's I've converted him from one of the fucking big truck guys that's throwing Skittles out the window like a fucking parade, right? Uh, you know, to somebody who goes home and plugs in with his kiddos. And I can't tell you how powerful that shit is. It is right. That to me is like that's what it's all about.

SPEAKER_02

It fixes the fear-mongering situation offset, right? It fixes the fear-mongering thing entirely. That yeah, that that guy's not listening to the news and getting worked up.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, but it's like, it's like, I, and I asked him, I said, would you be willing to come on the show and talk about it? Absolutely. So I cannot wait to have him come on and just share that because it's like this is a a you know, a reformed uh big truck guy, angry big truck guy that's running at an eight or a nine, and he'll have told you that every time, right? And then you do that and you're angry and you're you know, afraid and hate and all of the things, and you get home, and your family, who you say is your most important, right, gets nothing, gets crumbs, gets the worst part of you because you've given the best part of you to people that are literally out in the open robbing you of your most valuable resource. So it's like when you're able to hold on to your own energy, game changer. Game changer. Uh let's move on to free speech because this we're not we're not gonna have enough time to get through all of these. We're just again, we're just coming from a place of solutions. So from the fear-mongering, what let's let's let's back it up for a quick second. For the fear mongering, what's the solution? For me, the solution is why in the world would you watch news? I I look at some of this stuff and it's like, this is the most disgusting thing from all sides, right? I don't I don't give a shit what side you're on. I don't give a shit what what uh hate you're peddling or what fear you're peddling. Uh no, thank you. We're all stocked up here. I don't need any of that shit. That's not where I'm going. So, what do you think is the solution?

SPEAKER_02

For me, the solution is simple. Uh realize the news for what it is. It's a reality show. Like I said earlier previously, it's a poorly scripted reality show. Like it's not winning any awards. There's no reason to turn it on, there's no reason to watch it because why would you? No, no, none of it's real anyway. So so so if so the solution is just understand that yeah, just understand that it there's been so many filters and so many scripts that go through what you see that it's so far away from anything that's real or meaningful that it's useless, right? It is useless, it's it's just useless.

SPEAKER_01

It is useless, and that's a great way to say that. So my suggestion is unplug. Also, if you thought that it was actually news, then Fox News would report something other than just their side. Or CNN would report something other than their side. And I don't even know anything about other than anything other than that.

SPEAKER_02

They might even report the same things, right? They might because that would be news.

SPEAKER_01

And so and so another solution is supporting people that you think actually do, you know, put out just news or positive things or things that aren't literally meant to just. Let me know when you find one of those. I haven't you know what we should start one of those. Not I'm not gonna start one. I get too much shit going on. I get too much shit going on. But you know what I mean? That that would be a project that's worth doing of like here's just the facts, or let's report on some positive shit that's happening out in the world, right? I can get my head around that. I'd watch the news if it was like only the positive stuff that's happening. We don't need any more fear. Like, we don't, we're all set.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_01

We're all and then and then also in your own house, control your own emotions before you just start throwing fear around. Because also you look at it, it's not just a news, it's on social media, and it's people that are so worked up. The first time I really had that slap me in the face was when COVID happened, and I'm sitting there watching the news, going, What are we doing, you guys? I mean, they are just preying on you. It's so predatory, it's hard to watch.

SPEAKER_02

The social media stuff is even it's even worse than the news is because it gets filtered so many more times than you know, than the talking heads on TV or whatever. You know, they get a they get a script and they follow it and they read whatever they're supposed to read and and whatever. But the the social media, it's layers upon layers upon layers scripting manipulation and everything else. It's all bullshit.

SPEAKER_01

Your feed on social media should be inspiration, fucking little goats running around, farts and fuck you, or what you know what I mean. You know, whatever. It should be those kind of things. Not like whatever you're who gives a shit about the hate and the rest of that stuff. Get that shit off of your feed. That's not that's not any good for anybody. Uh okay, now we're moving on to free speech.

SPEAKER_02

Tell me about free speech, what you think. Well, I don't, I'm, I'm curious. You're for it? I'm all for that. Yeah, I'm all for free speech. You know, uh everybody says it that uh that free speech in in our country is under attack, and it is. You know, the uh the censorship that goes on through social media is more prevalent, I think, than any of us care to realize. And the the problem is there's lots of problems. Nobody's inclined to fix it because when that type of censorship uh when when that furthers your goals, you're all for it, right? And so because everybody uses it, whether you're on one side of the political spectrum or the other side of the political spectrum, or you're trying to move some units of a product that you're into, or you're trying to peddle, you know, trying to pedal some other social issue. It doesn't, it doesn't matter what it is, everybody uses that stuff. And so it's not going away, but it's important to understand that it's out there, right? 100% that it's out there. So if you go to research something, right, you're likely not going to find every side of the arguments on that, right? You're gonna see a lot of stuff that's again, it's been scripted, it's been curated, it's been edited, it's you know, it's not real, right? The at the end of the day, it's not real. But some of the loudest proponents of free speech are some of the craziest people that try to shut it down, right? I mean, look at the Charlie Kirk situation, right? Like we're supposed to have free speech, but then we've got a whole section of the country that's out there yelling we should murder this guy because he's just out there talking, right? It's crazy. It's absolutely crazy that that people could think that way and think that it's okay to silence voices because they don't align with yours.

SPEAKER_01

Well, their feelings got hurt. Well, they're their feelings got hurt because somebody disagreed with you and they don't know what to do with those feelings because we are all elementary level fucking EQs. It's I can't unsee that now. Right. I can't unsee that. When I watch these toddlers out there in adult bodies fucking navigating and bumping into one another, I'm like, what are you guys doing? This is embarrassing. Grow up.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Yeah. Yeah. So we do. We have a uh we have a big problem with free speech. And I think you know, what one of the things that that I'm gonna take issue with with your with your your intro, this is kind of a this is this is kind of a big thing for me. I hate the word compromise, right? And you mentioned, you know, you know, more often than not, solutions involve compromise, whatever. And and I hate that word.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't feel like Are you turning into a Kieran? No. Don't use that word.

SPEAKER_02

I'm a no, let me let me a second to get there, right? So no, I fucking hate that word. It's the worst, it's the worst word in the in the dictionary. Because in my view, when you compromise, everybody loses, right? And and everybody shouldn't lose, everybody shouldn't have to compromise. And so I prefer, you know, in in in all of my dealings, I prefer to look for common ground, right? We can look for common ground, we can find something that we agree on, yeah, and we can build on that, and we can get to some place, right, where we don't have to compromise, right? I don't nobody should have to compromise when it when it comes to things. We should find the stuff that we agree on, and then we should build on that. And so when it comes to free speech, we should probably find the things that we agree on and then build on that. And stay away from the censorship and stay away from the violence and try to stay away from the justifications for I need to do this and we can't do that, and you can't say that. Stop it. Stop it.

SPEAKER_01

It's not free speech is not a buffet. You don't just get to pick what you want and fucking leave the rest. Like if you're gonna take the whole thing. You gotta take the whole thing. And it doesn't mean you have to agree with stuff. We're not all meant to agree on everything.

SPEAKER_02

But we have to get to the place where we where we remove the violence and we remove the hatred from that whole situation. And we have to we have to understand that free means free. And you can't go attack people for the things that they say, right? That's we that's that doesn't get that doesn't get us anywhere. It's one of those, it's it's one of those things that keeps us divided. So let's just stop and agree that hey, we're just gonna say whatever we want to say, and and we're not gonna go get violent about it, and then and then we're good, right?

SPEAKER_01

I think a lot of the ding dongs out there don't realize uh what it's like in other parts of the country or in other parts of the world. 100% about about what your right is to have free speech. You know, I I was watching a post that was this mom, or it was this lady who whose husband was uh in the military and and all of the things, and she's replying to one of her somebody haters in her comment section or whatever. And to me, I just think that's great. I think more people should do that. I think we should have a a way to be able to see what people's comments are, right? It shouldn't just be their profile page on the socials. It should be also here's all of the comments that they did so you can see what a fucking piece of shit hater somebody is. Uh so that when you're like, hey, do I want to date this guy or do I want to be friends? It's like, yes, you can go check out their social profiles. And also you should have an other side of it, the dark side or the shadow side.

SPEAKER_02

Let's check out what they really still do. Let's check out the guy behind the city.

SPEAKER_01

The hypocrisy is fucking crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_01

But anyway, but anyway, so she's talking about, you know, her family and what the sacrifices they make. And it's like, those folks in our military that protect our free our right for free speech is fuck you. If you I mean, that's a that's a big deal. There are other parts in our world that do not have free speech.

SPEAKER_02

You know what? That's a that's a great point, though. Uh because every time you try to silence somebody or restrict in any way their right to free speech, you're shitting on people that have died to give us that right, right? I mean, think of it that way, right? I mean, there should be a little bit of homage that's that's paid there every single time. Hey, wait a second. There are thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people that have died so that you could say that. So that you could say whatever you want to say. Maybe, maybe just have a little bit of reverence first before we start getting crazy violent about things.

SPEAKER_01

And getting full-bodied shows right now. Like again, you don't have we don't have to agree. But somebody fought for your right to have that stupid opinion. Somebody at full volume. Somebody died for that, right? I mean, that's somebody's dad, somebody, yeah, like somebody's mom. That that whole thing just it makes me it makes me angry because it's I don't have to agree with you, but I I respect the fact that we live in a country where I get to sit here with my fucking mouth just ramble at full volume. And maybe it's not for you, right? That's the whole thing. If this, if, if my show and and the shit that I put out there isn't for you, great. I I'm doing the things that I feel convicted to do because I see the impact that it has on people that need a need a different perspective and need an understanding of we feel hopeless and we feel helpless in this world and understanding that like we're not supposed to plug into all the fear and all of these other things, you know. This silly eight-year-old brain of mine works in a way where it's like, why do we do that? Because I just come from a place of curiosity. I don't, I don't have a side. My side is my side is the end symbol. My side is all of us. It's human. That's my side, right? Like, I don't understand all of the craziness that's going on because I haven't been plugged into all this time. Cameron's been my my eyes and ears out there. And and and now I've converted him where he's on my side and understands that that's all garbage and bullshit out there anyway. So why would you even plug into that?

unknown

Sure.

SPEAKER_01

Much better life.

SPEAKER_02

Much better life.

SPEAKER_01

God, I didn't even have to coax you to say that. Anything else you want to say about it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I'm speaking freely.

SPEAKER_01

Ah mad respect.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't need your filter.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. So so again, it free speech for everybody. You don't have to agree with me. You can say all of the craziest things you want to. It that doesn't hurt my feelings at all. But but free means free for everyone, no matter what that, no matter what that is. Is there any other solutions or common ground that we need to find in that? When you say that, I think just even the agreement that removing the violence and the hate from that, you don't have to agree with somebody else. News flash ding-dongs, we're not meant to agree on everything. What would that even look like if 8 billion of us all thought the exact same thing? What a boring life. Remember when I said that to you years and years ago, it was like, we're not all meant to. Like, how boring would it be if we all thought the exact same thing?

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Nobody wants that. Nobody wants it. You don't need to brutalize people for that. Uh anything else about free speech? I think we're good there. Okay. Energy is everything. And most of us are spending it like drunk gamblers at a Vegas blackjack table. My book is built around one simple but powerful tool: quantifying your energy so you know exactly where it's going and how to get more of it back. Think of it as a manual for your soul's fuel tank. If you're tired of running on empty, this book will show you how to fill back up and keep yourself in the game long enough to actually win. Get your copy of the Life Pack Playbook on Amazon or on the podcast website, let's get nakedpodcast.com. Let's move on to immigration.

SPEAKER_02

Ooh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

God, this is a loaded one. Okay. This is a really loaded one.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, geographically, we're in a good spot to talk about that.

SPEAKER_01

So so we do the show in Arizona. Cameron and I are in Arizona, and so this is a big and has been. It has been always. For always, right? We're we are yeah, we're our whole lives have we've dealt with the immigration issue. For other parts in the country, I don't think people see it like we do, but 100%.

SPEAKER_02

But we're we're on the front lines here. So we get uh we get a full dose of it, much more so than uh states that aren't border states. So I think that uh our perspectives are you know, maybe we should carry a little bit more weight.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe, you know, but they're they're definitely different, right? And they're definitely Yeah, maybe not more weight, that was the right way to say it. Well maybe, you know. I I I think that the we deal with it more.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so sorry to keep in our view.

SPEAKER_02

You know, we have a lot more experience with those types of things, right? I mean I'm gonna let you I'm gonna let you go from here and and and lead into the questions a little bit more, otherwise I'm gonna get sidetracked with all kinds of stories.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you know, I I don't know that I have any questions. I just thought I would I thought I would bait you with immigration and then and then sit here with my popcorn and watch you because I know that you have here's the thing. Here's the thing about Cameron for everyone that's listening, and this is this is one of my favorite things about it. No, serious, no, seriously. Um Cameron is not shy about saying the things that he thinks. And for the most part, um I I think you do take a lot of stuff with uh considering a lot of different factors because of the fact that we are here, we are boots on the ground, we are, you know, understand that there's compassion to it. It isn't just like fuck everybody, get them out of here kind of perspective. And also, if we don't have secure borders, what does that look like, right? So understanding that there is, there can be compassion and safety, right? If if you if we only get to pick one and you say, Do you want to take care of your kids or the kids of other people that have come here illegally? I'm going to pick my kids every time. I don't care if that makes me an animal. I don't give a shit. That doesn't mean that I want mothers separated from their children at the border. But what I am saying is 1,000%, there's not enough resources. We don't have enough resources for the people that are already here. So if we just open the border and say, come on in, like who thinks that that's the best fucking idea? I just can't, I don't get my head around that. But uh you tell me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's uh yes, that's a good point. So uh it doesn't mean that you don't have compassion when you have rules, right? Like you you can have a you can have a secure border and you can still have compassion as far as that goes. And if you feel you know, if you feel very solidly about helping people that are less fortunate, you know, there's there's organizations for that. Go join the Peace Corps, you know, or go go to some of the other volunteer organizations and go to a third world country.

SPEAKER_01

Create your own volunteer organization.

SPEAKER_02

Create your own volunteer organization. Do do do all of those things, but but inviting that mess into everybody else's backyard is not your business, right? You can't you can't do that. You can't just let that happen because that affects everybody. You know, it's not just the it's not just the the crime and the the homelessness and all the other stuff that comes along with a bunch of people that come over that that don't know the culture, that don't speak the language, that can't get the jobs. I mean, what are now what are you supposed to do with this massive wad of people? Like, what are you supposed to do, right? And all they do, you know, in general is is is tax or burden the society, right? That's uh there's very there's very little put back there for these people that aren't you know capable of being productive members of society. And so, you know, the compassion cuts there, right? Now they're now they're here and you think you've done a good thing, but you haven't really done a good thing. They're not necessarily in a better place, they can't take care of themselves, and it puts your neighbors in a worse place because now they've got to take care of them. And it's just it it it shows more division than it does anything else, right? So I think one of the things that we have a unique picture of is what the border looks like down in in southern Arizona. Also, I don't think a lot of people understand how bad that really is. You know, as a as an outdoorsman, my entire life I've spent, you know, a fair amount of time in southern Arizona. And I think what most people don't realize is the border between Arizona and Mexico in southern Arizona before they started building the wall was a fucking barbed wire fence. And the only way you could tell it apart from any other barbed wire fence is it happened to have five strands instead of four strands. That was the border, that was the international border, and you could just go walk over it wherever you wanted to. If you had a truck, you could drive right through it if you wanted to, and and people did that all the time. And, you know, 30 years ago, when uh when I started going down to, or maybe 35 years ago, when I started going down to that area, it was still pretty, pretty clean, pretty, you know. We would we would see the you know, drug runners mainly uh we we would see down there. And um, I can tell you stories about finding their statues and stuff like that, but this isn't the venue for that. But it was it was pretty calm. And over the years, it's gotten so bad with just regular traffic and and everything else that it almost looks like a garbage dump in a lot of areas right along the border. And a lot of that stuff is private property. I mean, you're talking about ranchers that have lived down in those areas for decades, and now they can't even use their own property because it's just covered in trash, it's covered in filth, and you know, the the constant traffic and everything else. And you know, those guys get burglarized and robbed and and everything else by by people that are just desperate, right?

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Right, they uh you have compassion, they're desperate, they've just been out in the middle of nowhere for whatever, and now, right, they're they're they're they're choosing to live over you know somebody else's belongings, and they're gonna take where they live every single time. And so that yes, there's compassion there, but for Christ's sake, maybe we should stop that problem from beginning in the first place, you know. So, yes, compassion, yes, security, right? It's a simple solution, right? Once we stop the flow, then we can talk about okay, what's the right way to approach this? But but we can't let things continue as they are because it creates problems all over the place, right? Not even addressing the the political situation about where these people get counted.

SPEAKER_00

We're just talking logistics at this point.

SPEAKER_02

And where they where they get counted as far as the census goes and what that means for political seats and stuff like that, right? That's all that's all wrong and bogus and terrible, right? And it's one of those things that everybody picks sides over because they think that nobody's paying attention. We're all paying attention. We all know what's going on, you know, and and we all know that there's a solution that needs to happen here, right? But plain and simply, let's just stop the flow, right? Let's just let's just call timeout, right?

SPEAKER_01

That's step one.

SPEAKER_02

Step one, call time out, and then we can figure it out, right? We don't know what that is supposed to look like, you know. We can argue about that, we can talk about it, we can figure it out, right? There's there's something to be said there, right? But we can't allow the problems to become worse because we all know that that divides us. And if we let things continue to divide us, we're on the wrong track. We're just on the wrong track, right?

SPEAKER_01

No, I think I think it starts with that point of if if we're gonna just continue to let fear and and division be what rules, yeah. There's no there's no common ground there. You know, I like the idea of that as far as let's let's you know understand that this is a really big problem and we do need lots of solutions here. But the first thing is we have to stop that. It can't just it can't just be an open come on in. We've seen what that looks like, right? And then we can talk about okay, what are we gonna do with the folks that are already here? What are you gonna do with the folks that have been here? Okay, let's get you know some sort of system in place so that they can be contributing, uh, you know, tax dollars so that it isn't, you know, people that are here legally that that do contribute. Um there's there's there's there's solutions that can be common sense that don't have to be this we're yelling and screaming about you want this mother separated from her child at the border. It's like Karen, get to the back of the line. You're fucking annoying as shit. Like you're you're just spreading fear and hate that doesn't do any good.

SPEAKER_02

Spreading fear and hate, yeah. So the what and and and and I think that as far as calling time out goes, I think that uh you know a big part of the solution is we need to quit moving the goalposts and we need to quit changing how the game works, right? So when when we first started in business, we had uh you know non-citizens that would come apply, and you could tell when in looking at their paperwork that, hey, this is not, you know, this is not a citizen. And back then it was uh the government was gonna come after you if you had non-citizens on your payroll, and they checked and they came. We had uh we had we had people that had, you know, um that you know presented identification that was good enough for us to hire them, but then they had we had you know immigration folks coming trying to track those people down. But it made the employers these no-good, rotten sons of bitches that are taking advantage of these poor immigrants and the the corporate greed is disgusting and and fuck you guys to death if you ever hire people like this and whatever. And it's like, oh shit, and we're quaking in our boots about you know, if we really need to make sure it's just trying to run the business for Christ's sake, you know, we gotta be super careful about this because we're just gonna get crushed by the big government machine. And now, fast forward to today, right? And now today, it's if you don't hire those people, you're a no-good rotten son of a bitch, and right then the fucking narrative has changed all over the place. And it's like, how in the hell are you supposed to run a business? Like, I can't hire him. Now I'm supposed to hire him, and now people are gonna boycott me if I don't hire them. Like, how is this even a thing? We got to stop that shit. Just figure out what it's supposed to be and quit moving it around because again, we're just so in dissension at that point, right? We're either we're either gonna hire them or we're not gonna hire them. Like, let's just fix that real quick and we're gonna say that that's how it's gonna be and make that part of the solution, also, because we can't just keep having those tides turn all over the place because then nobody knows what the hell to do, right? We're just sitting here, you know, with our hands tied, unable to move because we're either gonna get arrested or we're gonna get boycotted. Like, which is it?

SPEAKER_01

And you never know. It's like, you know, and for me, I don't pay attention to the shit that's happening out there like that. So it's like I'm not a big rule follower. That may surprise people. Um, follow very few rules. Right. I actually can't think of one off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah, neither sweet.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a respectful, good, uh, you know, decent human that takes care of as many people as I possibly can. Right. Rules are not really my jam.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Got it.

SPEAKER_01

You know?

SPEAKER_02

Got it.

SPEAKER_01

Anything else you'd like to say about immigration?

SPEAKER_02

I think we covered that one pretty well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You know, I think I think just even in general, when we talk about these things, let's get some emotionally intelligent people together that represent all sides of stuff. And let's sit down and let's come up with some solutions. Because the amount of resources that get robbed from us as we the people to fight about things is disgusting. Right? Get curious about that. Get curious about that, right?

SPEAKER_02

Follow the money. Get curious about that.

SPEAKER_01

Follow the money, right? It's to me, it's again that eight-year-old brain of mine that goes, hmm, this doesn't make sense. Why do they want you to see this? Right. People don't understand. It's not, it's it's not like it's not like um the shit that they put out there is just now happening or whatever. It's like they're just waiting to plant the next fucking thing. And so if you think the government has your best interests at heart or the media is just trying to keep you informed, fuck them. Fuck every one of them. Big pharma's just trying to keep you whatever. They're the ones that are keeping you sick. They're the ones that are keeping you sick. You just fucking wake up. Your energy is your most valuable fucking resource, and all of those people are just robbing it from you. And then making you hate your neighbor in the process, right? Because they profit on that. Because when you're angry and you're raged up and you're you're hating on one another, you're weak. They click more, you're weak, you're weak. I mean, they're just they're making you weak and laughing all the way to the bank. And we just sit here and follow one another in the herd. It's like, oh my God, you guys are.

SPEAKER_02

Weak and vulnerable, not like the vulnerable we talk about here. Different.

SPEAKER_01

Getting naked, getting naked with me. And stop being silly. Um, okay, so we've covered immigration.

SPEAKER_02

You've covered immigration.

SPEAKER_01

We're moving right along to abortion, which Cameron does. Even want to be sitting on this couch with me when I have this conversation. I have very strong opinions about abortion.

SPEAKER_02

You know what I feel about abortion? I don't give two shits about abortion.

SPEAKER_01

Tell me why. Tell me why.

SPEAKER_02

It doesn't, it doesn't affect me. I don't care. I don't have a valid opinion one way or another. Uh for a lot of reasons. It clogs up our medical system with all kinds of BS that it shouldn't clog it up with. You know, it's probably not healthy for a person, you know, whatever. But but that's not my business, right? Whatever. I mean, people get fat and they clog up the medical system with their own bullshit, also, you know. And so, and so whatever. I mean, far be it for me to say that you can't be fat if you want to, or you can't go get a hundred abortions if you want to. Fucking go do it. I don't, I don't, I don't care. It uh the the inefficiencies of the whole situation are are bothersome to me. And and and that's it. Aside, aside from that, like I don't, I don't care. I don't I don't have uh just you know, holier than thou religious sympathy that makes me think that you're doing something wrong, or I don't have a moral compass. Or I I do have a moral compass, it's very strong, but it doesn't have anything to do with it. It doesn't, it doesn't. Abortion doesn't move my moral compass one bit. And so, right, I and I and I don't I don't know where I fall on the on the wide spectrum of that situation, but I fall back to let's just look for a fucking solution for crying out loud because because the damage that it does, every time there's an election, it serves to divide us, right? So I can't even go run for the fucking dog catcher without coming out with this my stance on abortion, right? And and nobody gives a shit what the dog catcher thinks about abortion, except that now all of a sudden we do because we're picking sides, and it's just one more thing to pick sides over. And we shouldn't do that because as long as we're over here, we're never gonna get to a place where that doesn't influence our decisions one way or another, right? And I don't I don't think that's right. You can have you can have the most perfect person to go run something because they've run businesses and it's real easy for them to to pull into a role and do this, but nobody will let them do it because you know they want to kill babies or they don't want to kill babies. Like, who fucking cares? It's just absolutely ridiculous. And so maybe, maybe we should, you know, come from the solutions part of it and say, look, this is where it's gonna be, right? We know that people are gonna have abortions, and we know people don't generally want to do it like after they're born, like fuck and take my six-year-old, just get rid of that moment, right? We we're I think we're all you know, not on the extremes of things. And so I think that if we can just pick something down the middle, just restart, right? Let's just let's just get there so that you know we don't have to argue about it anymore. Like that's a great solution, right? I get it. You know, we're not we're not going to get everything that we want out of that situation, but we're gonna find some common ground, right? Right? We're gonna find the we're gonna find the common ground in that component because we know we don't want to argue about it all the time because it it makes us hate each other. And so we got to find what we can agree on in that situation, and then we can we can we can build on that for there, or we can solidify it from there or or whatever, and then we can move forward. Otherwise, we're just we're just stuck in it, just permanently stuck on loop.

SPEAKER_01

I love that you say the common ground because here's what's happening. I look over at the timer and I've got 12 minutes left, and I'm gonna fix abortion for everyone. And and I'm still gonna have I'm gonna leave it with a couple minutes to spare to wrap this thing up, and then we'll talk about the other items on on part two of solutions.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, you're gonna take 10 minutes on abortion.

SPEAKER_01

Just so that I can be really uh elaborate on my on my plan. Because I have a whole plan.

SPEAKER_02

Great.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, here's where it's gonna start.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Uh everyone's gonna mind their own business. Okay, number one. But number two, we're gonna come from a place of solutions in a way that uh that's impactful for people that are affected by this, right? So if you're a woman who uh needs access to have your tubes tied so that this is no longer a thing for you. And I don't care if you're a homeless woman or a fucking, you know, woman that is a prostitute or a woman that is doing her best in life and just can't afford birth control, whatever that looks like, right? I don't know what a tube tube legation, is that how you pronounce that?

SPEAKER_02

Tobation, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Tube legation costs, right? A couple grand. Think about what we spend on the debate about abortion. We could give every woman in America, I'm guessing, for what we've wasted on fucking abortion, right? So we're going to provide that access to people. I bet there's a bunch of doctors, I bet there's a bunch of hospitals, I bet there's a bunch of resources out there that would say, you know what, that's a great step one in providing a solution. Okay, so that's step one.

SPEAKER_02

You might get doctors to donate their time to do that stuff, right? Right, okay.

SPEAKER_01

So let's come from a place of solution. So that's step one. Step two is let's take out the shame associated with it because the woman that's having to make that decision, I fucking guarantee you it's the hardest decision she has to make in her life. And the last thing she needs is anyone up in her lane making her feel bad about it, right? Another step making it so that adoption is easily accessible to other people, right? Fixing whatever is blocking that in that system that would make a woman not want to give that baby up for adoption, right? So you're giving her the power to be able to make the choices, giving her options as far as birth control is concerned, making it so that she doesn't have if if you're done having kids or you know for certain that you don't want to have kids anymore, what does it hurt to have somebody be able to get their tubes tied, that they never have to deal with that issue again, right? Making it so that we have standard, regular, common sense laws about abortion that people don't have to fight about, right? I think we could all can agree that late-term abortions are not great. Right. Right? If you haven't figured out that you're pregnant by the time you're at five months, I'm so sorry. You're gonna have to adoption is now your option, right? So so just saying, okay, up to 16 weeks. Let's just say 16 weeks. Doesn't that seem fair? 16 weeks, 20 weeks. I don't know. Figure out a number that makes sense to people.

SPEAKER_02

Pick something in the middle?

SPEAKER_01

20 weeks is right in the middle. So let's just say 20 weeks. If you want to make a decision up to 20 weeks that you're gonna have an abortion, that is on you. And we are gonna all stay out of our way and not know what your facts are because we don't know if your dad raped you and that's his fucking baby that's inside of you, right? Which happens all the fucking time. And is that terrible? Yes. What's even worse than that is some fucking Karen from the side of the road that wants to yell at this poor girl that now has to make that fucking decision. It's none of your business, Karen. Stay in your own fucking lane, right? So if we had access to some normal fucking procedures that would help minimize this, if we had care and support for people that had to make this fucking decision, and if we have a standard just middle of the road, here's what the guidelines are gonna be. Nobody wants to do this, nobody wants to do this. And then we're just gonna all agree that this is common ground and let's stop talking about it. Let's all take a vote and say, I don't want to hear another politician, whether it's a dog catcher or the fucking president. I don't give a shit what their opinions on abortion are. I don't give a shit. I don't give a shit if the politician is a man or a woman. I don't fucking care. Let's find common ground and work from that and never talk about it again as it relates to rage baiting and fear and pointing fingers and making neighbors hate one another for whatever their stance and position on abortion is. It is this is not fun for anybody. Right? What when you look at that and you have people that are tearing one another apart on these issues, it's like, who thinks that this is fun for anybody? Oh my god, look how much time I have left. I just solved fucking abortion for everybody. Anything else I missed?

SPEAKER_02

Right, now we have simple. Case closed.

SPEAKER_01

Right. It's like what else am I missing in that? Is it is it killing babies? You know what? If that's your viewpoint, could be. Is it against your moral compass? Could be. Are are are are priests in in churches touching little boys against my moral compass? Yes, but I'm fucking staying out of churches and not in there fucking freaking out on that whole situation. And that happens every fucking day, still to this day. I was doing a little bit of research because Cameron doesn't like me to talk about organized religion. Everyone knows I ride that one pretty hard. And I'm not, I'm not, I'm not referring to the big guy, right? I think the big guy is important. I think that's great. But organized religion that literally hands out shame and fear by the fucking wagonful. You just drag it right out of Sunday. I don't know why you would choose to go do those things. That doesn't make any sense to me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_01

So I would like those folks to stay out of our discussions about abortion.

SPEAKER_02

Sure.

SPEAKER_01

Or just don't get one. That's that's how you do it.

SPEAKER_04

Just don't get one. Oh my God.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my. So here's the next three that I just don't think. I think we are gonna have to wrap this up and not get into this, but maybe we'll do this on the second episode. Guns, religion, race.

SPEAKER_00

Those are not, you know, those are those are gonna be in in part two of our solutions episode because there is literally no way that we have enough time for that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, I can't wait for that.

SPEAKER_01

All right, let's talk about um anything else with under the umbrella term of solutions, as far as just trying to get people to understand that there's some common ground to be had. And it doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything, but it does mean that these are hard things that everyone is going through. You know, I said that when we were talking about COVID. It's like COVID was scary for everybody, whether you got the vaccine, whether you didn't get the vaccine, everyone was affected by it in a really horrible way. So the fact that we don't know how to handle our own fear, and then we try to spit that out on everybody else, it's disgusting. It's disgusting. It's like it's the same thing with any of these issues that we're gonna talk about. Everybody is just trying to live this messy fucking life in the best way that they possibly can. They don't need you fucking yelling at them, you know, yelling from the top of your lungs about wrong. Oh my God, fucking enough with the wrong. It's too much.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you know, one of the one of the things that I like to consider when, you know, when when faced with a situation that needs a solution, right? Whether it's you know, something small or whether it's you know something that's uh kind of more prevalent in society today or whatever, is you hear people that that you know when they talk about you know women's rights or gay rights or whatever, and they and it's you know, we haven't done enough, and they just get crazy about how fucked up things are right now. And it's like, wow, I I I feel your passion, right? Obviously, because you're getting absolutely crazy, right? But the timeout, right? We need to understand, and I hate to say need, but we need we need to understand that in in most of these cases, there has been a whole bunch of progress that's made, you know. Um race relations also. There's sure, do we have a ways to go? Absolutely, but where are we now compared to where we were, you know, a long time ago, right? Like we've come a long fucking ways. And there's a lot of those subjects where we've come a long fucking ways. And if you if you somehow ignore all that progress because we're not where we're supposed to be, and you're getting violently angry about those types of things, you discount the work that all those people that came before have put in, right? It's it's it's it's as bad as ignoring the people that died to give us our rights and freedoms that we have here in the United States. It's also shameful to discount all the efforts that other people have sprung previously to get us to where we're at. And so I frankly don't like to speak with anybody on any subject that's where we're talking about a progression of things until we can at first agree where we were and and where we are, and that there's been some progress made so that we can say, okay, this is what at least we've we're doing some stuff, right? We can critique that if we want to. We can say, yeah, this was good, this was bad, whatever. Then we can have a discussion. But if we're just getting crazy right off the bat without without some acknowledgement of past progress, then it's not productive, right? We're not trying to find a solution. We're rage baiting and we're doing the lawyer thing where we've got certainty now and we're gonna win at all costs and whatever. Okay, that's fine, right? But you know, okay, everybody wins or everybody loses, everybody's right, everybody's wrong, right? However, you want to look at that, it doesn't matter. Like what happens is we've we walked away from the situation and we didn't accomplish anything, right? There's there's no solution, there's no common ground, there's no there's no means to expand on that in the future. It's we we raged and then and then we walked away. You know, we did the emotional smash and grab.

SPEAKER_00

Emotional smash grab. I'm an expert at fucking I'm an expert at fucking detecting those.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and they're all over the place. And so we gotta, we just, you know, it's not it's not useful, right? Maybe, maybe it feels good for a couple of minutes, but then then what happened, right? Then then then where did we get to? We didn't make any progress, right? We just wasted everybody's time, right?

SPEAKER_01

Two things I want to point out the emotional smash and grab, because if you don't understand what the hell that is, I really want you to understand. There are a lot of people in my life who have exhibited the emotional smash and grab over the years to the point where now I see it coming from a mile away, right? Your emotions are left unchecked. And so what you bring to the argument or the discussion or whatever is that you're going to smash someone over the head with your fucking emotional lack of intelligence, which is you know, the whole like, oh, you want mothers that you know separated from their babies at the border. That's an emotional smash and grab you.

SPEAKER_02

Stupid talking points where you drop them down and yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Like that's supposed to, or you call somebody a Nazi or a fucking, you know, you call somebody a name, you're a racist, you're a bigot. Would you guys just do me a favor and go Google a definition of bigot because you're getting it on you. That's all I'm gonna say. The folks that are yelling that the loudest, it's all over you. And just so you know, everybody can fucking see it.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

The other thing is, you know, we have this thing, the the AND project. And if you don't know what that is, I highly recommend you to go look that. Sure. Look that up. Um and the AND project, the website is the, and then and because you can't have an amper, like a symbol in a website, is A-N-N-E-D project. So the AND project. What we need for the AND project is a solutions forum that has nothing to do with anything uh political, anything, you know, that's that's religious or tied into any of that, where some emotionally intelligent folks come together to sit down to pull together solutions, suggested solutions of what we could do to fix our problems. Because we don't need to pull up like somebody so-and-so is doing this and doing that. We're done with that. We're we're so far past that. We're so far past that. So I'm gonna plant that seed because the bright people that are listening right now are going to reach out and we're gonna put that together. Just a solutions forum where we're able to sit down around a table and talk like normal human beings. And I'll bring the eight-year-old perspective because that's mine, right? That's the whole like John and Adeline thing where they were talking about why don't we put humans down, you know, because we put dogs down. It is that eight-year-old perspective of just make it make sense, right? Before we get all messed up. So um, yeah, so the AND project solutions forum, throwing it out there to the universe. I'm gonna expect something back. Got it. Cameron, thank you for coming and sitting and talking with me. I really appreciate it. Thank you for having me. Yeah, Cameron and I are gonna sit down and do the next series of FU minis where I turn my hat backwards and get real fucking passionate. Like I didn't already have passion in this one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, also can't wait for that.

SPEAKER_01

My sister-in-law Caitlin made my made this shirt, and so I just want everyone that's looking. If you want to get naked or a let's get naked shirt, you reach out. I'm gonna help everybody get naked. I'm really excited about it.
