Love, Honesty, Truth, and Respect: The Four Pillars of a Meaningful Life with Rajesh Kumar-Ricky (India)
What happens when you lose everything—not just material possessions, but the support of friends who judge rather than uplift you? Rajesh Kumar's remarkable journey from homelessness and hunger to spiritual abundance reveals the transformative power of four fundamental principles that can reshape anyone's life.
Rajesh opens his heart to share deeply personal experiences of hitting rock bottom—living on the streets, unable to afford even a single meal for extended periods. The pain of rejection from friends who blamed him for his circumstances became a pivotal moment that led him to seek shelter in faith rather than material security. Through religious institutions that offered free meals, Rajesh discovered a profound truth: the most valuable currencies in life aren't monetary but spiritual.
The conversation delves into the four pillars that now guide Rajesh's existence: love, honesty, truth, and respect. He eloquently explains how love forms the foundation upon which all other values stand, describing respect as the recognition that the same divine soul exists in every being. His definition challenges listeners to look beyond surface behaviors and judgments to honor the essential humanity in everyone we encounter.
One of the most compelling segments explores Rajesh's commitment to honesty in his professional life, even when speaking truth to power cost him his job. Rather than retaliating or defending himself to higher management, he chose to walk away with integrity intact—a decision that ultimately led him to more fulfilling work as a healthcare consultant. His story beautifully illustrates how adhering to core principles, even during difficult times, creates space for authentic abundance to enter.
The episode culminates with Rajesh's simple yet profound message: believe in something greater than yourself, seek shelter in faith, and trust that wisdom and guidance will follow. His journey from desperation to inner peace offers hope that transformation is possible for anyone willing to embrace these timeless values.
What core principles guide your life? How might adopting love, honesty, truth, and respect as your foundation transform your relationships and outlook? Listen, reflect, and perhaps discover your own path to authentic abundance.

Hello and welcome to another episode of the Business of Life. Today we have a very special guest from India, mr Rajesh Kumar Welcome sir.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Thank you so much, dr King, and thank you so much for your time. Thank you so much for inviting me. It's a dream come true. I can't, you know, ask more, because it's all your kindness that you invited me and I don't know how to thank you enough. But thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Dr Ariel King:I want to say thank you. It's so wonderful to be able to speak with someone like you today, and I think that the topic we're going to cover is so important. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself and then let's talk about our topic for today?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Yeah, I hail from a beautiful country, india, and I am just. You know, I come from a humble family and I would like to speak on love, honesty, truth and respect, because these are four important pillars of my life and this is something you know, I can speak, you know from my heart, and I don't have to, you know, read anywhere about these topics, because this is something you know humanity can't survive without these four core values and this is something you know, I can speak. You know, like there is no limit, because love is infinite, love is indescribable and one where there is love, there is everything like honesty, truth and respect. So, uh, uh, you know what? What?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:What I love most in life is to serve others, you know, uh, selflessly and most importantly, when I bring happiness on people's faces. That's what I truly love and I draw my deepest inspiration from my God, because you know my core values, as I said love, truth, honesty and respect. You know, when I see these core values alive in others, you know, it inspires me the most and this is something, you know, I can't describe more, because this is, you know, beauty of life, and I think God has given us a wonderful, beautiful life and love is nothing, but love is God and love is everything.
Dr Ariel King:I absolutely agree with that. I love these topics and the four pillars. How about if we use some? Would you like to tell us stories, a story about any way that these are affected your life? These four pillars. So let's start with whichever one of the four you'd like and tell us more about how it's affected your life and how you actually integrate it into your life through a story, Because most people, including myself, understand stories and stories really make a big impact on our lives. Thank you, Thank you.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:There was a time when I, you know, felt alone in life, when I struggled a lot. I was running behind money, fame and you know materialistic thing. And you know, there was a time when I had nothing. Even I couldn't afford one single meal of the day and I was, you know, deeply frustrated. At the same time, I asked for help from a friend, my close ones but they always judged me and they said you are wrong, you, you did you know wrong decisions in your life and you are just you, you did you know wrong decisions in your life and you are just, you know, not doing you know good things in life. And I was like, hey, god, I haven't done anything wrong. You always, you know, seen me from the beginning and you are the one who can judge me. And I had nothing, but you know, you have given me this beautiful life.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:There was a time when I said I had nothing, but I used to go to religious places and I used to eat food there free of cost, and then I realized that God's love is everywhere and God is something who is giving me and feeding me, you know, without even you know judging me, and that day I realized that, you know, money isn't everything. You know, I will follow, you know, the basic rules of humanity. I will. You know the way. You know, uh, the religious places you know are serving me and giving me food. One day, you know uh, hey, god, you know, please make me capable that. You know one day, if I will be able to bring you know uh to other people, that will be my achievement. And I can't describe such feelings in words because this is something you can't describe, because this is your life, right, right, and this is your, you know, personal space. You can't say such things out there because this is very, very personal and touching things. And the day I took, you know, god's shelter, and it's been, you know, more than four or five years.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:I am stronger than before. I'm independent, I'm doing very well. I'm independent, I'm doing very well. I'm grateful for every single day Before I joined your podcast. I thank God for everything he's doing for me, because I'm not doing this podcast for fame or for recognition. You are doing a wonderful job out there and you are just, you know, same like me, who are, you know, empowering children all over the world, educating them, you know, and giving them confidence, and that's what I liked about you and your organization and that's why I said yes to you that, hey, we all are doing, you know, selfless services. Not all are doing. We are very real people who are doing such things and we should always appreciate those people around us. And my motive was also, you know, congratulate you and say, hey, you are doing a wonderful, wonderful job, not in the eyes of people, but in the eyes of God, and you know, god is very, very happy because, you know, this is the beauty of love and life and I have also a lot more to you know, share about my life.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:But I think when I said I had, you know, I couldn't afford a single day meal and I could even. I had one single penny in my pocket for at least one year. I was on road, I had, you know, I was living outside the city, I was living outside the village, I was in search of job. I was bankrupt at one time and you know, bankrupt, bankrupt. You know bankruptcy is something you can't. You know no one tolerate you. Everyone sees you, you know, through me.
Dr Ariel King:I say I want to congratulate you because everybody thinks that everything starts with progress and everything starts with oh you, you know, you have everything, you've done everything, and even myself that came from a professional family. Um, you know, while I was in school, I've experienced once not having a home, thinking that I would have a home. I've experienced, believe it or not, hunger, which is amazing because, coming from a middle-class family, especially in America, you think that wouldn't happen. But as a student, that happened. And what's really amazing to me about your story is that you said you went to France.
Dr Ariel King:I remember this very quickly. I was in university and I was waiting. This is many, many years ago because I'm quite old, but this is when we used to have a check system. You didn't have money automatically going to the bank and I was literally waiting for money to come in. And I said to my housemates can I please have some of your food? And they said no. And I was so shocked because I always fed them. They were always eating my food and when I asked them, may I have some, they said no.
Dr Ariel King:And what's really amazing to me? Of course I was shocked because I thought, well, I would never say no to them. But I remember going I think it was at least two days with nothing, because I was literally waiting for my money to come in. But it was also a very good lesson to me to learn that I didn't stop saying yes to people. But I also understood that not everybody was going to be like me, not everybody was going to share. And it taught me also to understand that we're not all equal in the way that we think, and some people just think that the more they have, the better. May I ask for you, when your friends were blaming you for, you know, not having money or trying to find a job, what did that do for you and how did that make you feel and how did you then go above you know that feeling to put yourself on the right path?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Actually my friend. I cried a lot alone and I was like, hey, these are not my real friends and you know, I have to move forward in life and let's make God my friend and let's find, you know I have to move forward in life and let's make God my friend and let's find, you know, good people. You have, you don't? I promised myself that I will not find people out there. I will change myself and then good people will automatically, you know, come to my life and, frankly speaking, you know, that's why I told that I draw my deepest inspiration from my faith in God and my core values. In my resume I mentioned that what is my objective? That I want to work with an organization who believes in love, honesty, truth and respect. That's what I mentioned in my you know resume.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:And today I work with I work as a healthcare consultant and I work with American providers. You know all specialties. You know clinics, healthcare facility agencies and you know I'm enjoying my work, I'm loving my work and every day is like a you know dream come true. I never thought that God will give me such, you know amazing job and that's something you know I can't describe. My friend. You know I can't thank enough. I am saying I'm blessed to have this life. I always thank God, thank my mom to give me a birth, because because of her I am on this planet and, you know, I'm free from everything. Yes, I'm not perfect. I'm. I'm. Every day I try to improve myself so that I can go closer to my creator, closer to him, because you know, that's my purpose and, yeah, I I I know where I have to improve. I'm not perfect, but but, yeah, I'm loving it.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:And you also asked me about my friends Today. You know, my friends, you know, usually call me, but you know I don't have time because I know I will go there and we will talk about materialistic things and I don't, you know, want to talk about those topics anymore. I know beauty, peace is something you know, which is within and uh. And I just want to spend my rest of my life with my family because you know they are everything. They have given me this life. They raised me, they, you know, taught me, they educated me, and I think no one, I think they are the only good viscer I have.
Dr Ariel King:So sorry to interrupt you. May I ask so have your friends changed? Have you found friends that have some of the same goals that you do? And also, I want to say that you found angels on earth. You found people who were like you, that show life and love and peace, and you were able to attract those people to you. So I would like to learn more about those people, because those people are the ones that have really helped to change your life, along with you changing your life, and I find that so inspirational and I'd love to know more about that, about the people I work with right, the people that helped to change your life, including when you said that you didn't have any food but you were able to get free food. So that was done through people. So you know, many of the positive things that happened to us or for us happen through people.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Yes, so when I was struggling and you know, the COVID came and you know I was outside of my village and you know we had complete lockdown for one year and I wasn't able to go outside for you know one year and I wasn't able to go outside for, you know, one year, I was totally in room. Actually, I was searching job and suddenly, you know, I was living in a PG in city and then COVID came and complete lockdown and I met one person like you know, who is you know, four, five years younger than me and he's like my best friend till date than me and he, he, he's like my best friend till date and you know, he gave me one, he gave me, you know, many advices, like a brother, like a mentor. He, always, he taught me that, hey, ricky, my friend, uh, let me tell you one thing you don't have to worry, I'm here. I know you are a good person, you are struggling and you don't have to worry for a food. I am here to, you know, take all your expenses for coming here and whenever you will have, you can pay me back and that gives me, that gave me, you know, real motivation. And he also mentioned one thing that, hey, whatever you will do in life, please make sure that you are helping someone in your life.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:If today I'm helping you help someone else out there when I'm not around you, and today he's very, very proud of this thing and you know, I, I share everything with him, my personal professional, and he is like a, you know, he's like a teacher to me and uh, and now I, I know I, changed my perspective. I also, uh, you know, uh, adapt so many things. I I enjoyed, you know, living alone. And now, when I communicate my with my older friends, I, I can, you know, make them happy with my you know struggle and my you know life stories, and now they are very proud of it. And wherever I go, I always make sure that you know the life is very short.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Wherever, whatever I'm doing, I have to make sure that you know people around me are, you know, happy because of my good deeds, because of my good gesture. And that's what we are here for, right, we are here to spread, you know, good words. And you know the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. That's my mission and I can't, you know, I say I lived my life. I lived my life, I'm done with this life, because joy and peace inside me is, you know, overflowing every single time, every single second, and that's why I wanted to thank you, first of all, for everything you are doing, because you know I haven't seen a person like you, you know who is doing such, you know, service, and I'm very, and I really mean this and I want to congratulate you and may God's love, peace and joy be with you and your whole, whole organization, always and forever.
Dr Ariel King:I'm very grateful to you and I want to say, I want to thank you for the compliments. I, you know, I think to myself the reason why I am who I am is because of people like you. I get to meet people who are now we use the word authentic. What does that mean? It just means that people who are really themselves, unapologetically, I don't have to apologize for being human, but also I love the fact of being human. What does it mean? There are times that I'm not nice, there are times that I'm not kind, there are times that I'm not rational, and I'm okay with that. I'm okay with being fully human, because that's what I'm here to do on this earth, and I also have the privilege of talking to people like you who teach me.
Dr Ariel King:You talked about this gentleman who was your mentor. I've had so many mentors and I'm so grateful for that and, as a result, even though I don't feel like I'm a mentor to others, I want to make sure that I give others the possibility to have a good life as I've had. So you know, it makes all the difference in the world. So tell me again the four pillars of life that are so important to you, sir.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:The first, number one, is love, honesty, truth and respect. And I would say, you know, without love they can't exist. And where there is love, there is everything. And you know, love is a topic we can't, you know, explain uh through words, because love is a feeling you can only felt it right and I, I don't know you know how to you know, uh, explain more uh about love. But, yes, love is god and god, you know, indescribable. God is infinite, right, and we are just here to do, you know, good work and so that we can bring happiness on people's faces through our good deeds. And that's what I, you know, that's what I truly love.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:And I was not the same person A few years ago. I was different, but, you know, thank God, you know, for changing me, and now I'm just living. You know, a dream come true. I not dream come true, but I, as I said, I'm free from life, I am enjoying my life, joy is overflowing within me and, yeah, I always make sure that, hey, my friend, what can I do for you? Like you know, I'm that much happy that I always ask people that what can I do for you?
Dr Ariel King:This, is wonderful. So let me ask you I mean and I know you're saying you are finished with life, but life is not finished with you People all over the world need you, need your voice. I'm so happy that you've come on this podcast so people can hear what's in your life, and I love the fact that you're so courageous. So many people have struggled in one way or another, but everybody's hiding and pretending that everything's been wonderful their entire lives. Why? Why do we do that?
Dr Ariel King:Being human is also to struggle. I mean, even when we give, even when we're, you know, our mothers are giving birth to us. It's a struggle. We struggle to get out of the womb and to come into the world. And you know, even when we pass through life to death I don't think people realize it doesn't happen in a second, it's literally a process and, if not a struggle, it's a letting go little by little. You know, before we pass, and I don't think people really look at that. So I really love the fact that you're honest and you're direct and the fact that you, your life, is to give to others and to show others the light within them, you know. So did you say love? Did you say honesty, honesty, truth and respect and respect. Let's talk more about respect. Can you tell us more about that? Because there's so many people, I believe, that don't respect themselves and, as a result, literally do Like we are greeting everyone out there with, you know, folded hands.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:That's what respect is, and respect means, you know we are, you know, sincerely, you know brought on to you. Right, respecting means you are not judging people. You all see, we all are imperfect, right? If I'm saying bad words to you, you should not judge me because that's what my you know, uh, that's what my habits are, that's why I'm telling wrong words to you or bad words to you, but you should not judge me. If you are a good person, you always say you should say that hey, hey, god, please make him a good person, because you know we all are same. Maybe my time is not good, your time is good, but we can't judge people out there. We should always treat every human being, every creature, every animal with respect, because we all are same. The soul within me is the soul within you is same, like the soul within dog. Or you know, a lion soul is same like the soul within dog. Or you know, uh, loin. Soul is same everywhere, right?
Dr Ariel King:so how I love that. You know, it's really interesting to me that we go from respect to the deeper level of the soul. The soul is. Some people call it chi, the energy. Uh, some some people use a different word for that, but actually it's the essence of who the person is. It makes all the difference, doesn't it? Who are you as a person, and respect is I see you right. I recognize you and I recognize your right to exist and to do whatever you can to make your life better. It makes all the difference, doesn't it?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:And how about honesty and truth? This is another area that many of us I mean none of us always tell the truth, and that's understood. But why do you think honesty and truth is really important as one of the four pillars of the way you live your life? Yes, see, you know. When we say prosperity in life, you know abundance is something that comes to you naturally. Abundance is a, you know, God-given word and prosperity even the same synonyms. We can only get prosperity and us in life when we are true and honest with our deeds, and God is there watching your efforts. If you are honest and true about your deeds, then you will become abundant in life, blissful in life.
Dr Ariel King:Yes, can you tell us a story? I don't mean to interrupt you, but I find you as a person so interesting, I find your life so interesting and I'm so proud of everything you've done.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Yeah, yeah.
Dr Ariel King:Can you give me an example within your life about honesty and truth and how it's affected your life and what you've done actively in order to change that part of your life or the people around you who perhaps have not been honest and truthful? How has it affected you personally?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:yes. So, uh, when I, uh, when I was struggling, I got a job and you know, uh, I was very honest with my work in my company and I saw people out there who are, you know, a little clever managed people were clever I was telling them that, hey, sir, we are doing this work in a wrong way because, you know, otherwise we will lose this client CEO, because in the end, if we will do good work, then company will earn, then we will get a paycheck right. And we are not here to do, you know, if we are not bringing quality, then we are not doing justice. And you know, you know what happened. I was telling the same thing again and again because, you know, I saw the company loss. I saw company loss and that's why I was, you know, very, you know, aggressive about this approach. And in you know what the end, they fired me out and I was, you know, completely jobless for you know four months.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:And then in that time I was like, hey, I was honest about my job and every, every person who was working alongside me and every person who was working alongside me, they were even also, you know, supporting me, but they were not confronting that situation.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:I would like to thank you, god, for giving me that courage at that point of time for pointing out my manager and they fired me out. And you know I got a lot of calls, messages, messages about after my exit from my colleagues that, hey, you were doing a good job. I don't know why they fired you out. Even they because they, they're jealous of you, because, uh, because they know you are doing a good job and and I I never, you know, uh, uh, defended, defend myself, because I know if I'll defend myself, my manager will get terminated. Okay, because I know how to speak and what are the profits and you know losses of the company. I can speak to the CEO, but I never did that because I know I'm not here to you know, show myself. You know, because I'm not a king and you know I'm just a, you know, servant. I'm doing my duty.
Dr Ariel King:You did an amazing job. I love that. I mean, what you did is you spoke truth to power and basically said this is not honest, this is dishonest. If we want to keep our clients, we have to stay honest, and perhaps you know one of the reasons why people are let go or fired or asked to leave is because they don't want a person that tells the truth. So I mean, I think that's a great example of when you talk about truth and honesty, because it doesn't always end in the most positive outcome, although it's positive in that you're not around people and you're not doing a job that requires you to be dishonest. So in that way, I think it was very positive.
Dr Ariel King:I want to say I apologize that we are. Our time has gone by so quickly. We have one minute. What would you like to say to our listeners about the four pillars of your life? Just say it one more time, because I think it's so important for these four pillars, and any last words that you have, and, if you want, we can actually have another interview at another time, because you're such an incredible and interesting person.
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Thank you so much for everything. I would say believe in God and, you know, seek his shelter, you know and you know, just believe in God and everything will come to you automatically. He will give you wisdom, he will give you everything and you don't have to worry because we are not everything. God is everything and he will decide give you everything and you don't have to worry because we can't, we are not everything. God is everything and he will decide, he will let you know that what is wrong and what is right.
Dr Ariel King:So believe in his, uh, believe in god's philosophy, and believe in god, and that's it okay, and your four pillars of life, please, because everybody calls god something different, as you know, and we're an international podcast, so, but I understand what you're saying. What are your four pillars that you go by again that people can also perhaps adopt Love, honesty, truth and respect. Thank you, sir. Thank you so much for being with us and thank you to our audience for being with us. Thank you so much, dr King Namaste. Thank you and remember audience. If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, when am I? If not now, then when? That's by the philosopher Hillel and I've added if not me, then who?
Rajesh Kumar-Ricky:Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you, Dr King, and best of luck for everything you do. Thank you, sir.
