Ep.082 | This Sport Deserves More Attention

The Alfieri brothers dive into a sport that is not talked about so much on the national stage, and one that they think should become more popular - lacrosse.  Cornell University just won their first national title since 1977, and the brothers discuss the ins and outs of the sport and why it has not become more popular nationally. 

On the WNBA front, Caitlin Clark is out with an injury, and we have seen a dramatic decrease in ticket prices for Indiana Fever games with her on the sideline.  The brothers discuss the "controversy" around the increased interest in the WNBA, and if it is all due to Clark.  In the NBA playoffs, the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks to go up 3-1 in the series, with Tyrese Haliburton having a historic game.

Sports media star and former NFL punter, Pat McAfee was courtside and roasted some of the big name Knick fans, including Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Timothee Chalamet.  This brings up the conversation of "stars" being superfans of their teams.  The SGA "foul" and "flop" conversation comes up again, with Doris Burke's comments of calling him a "free throw merchant" live on broadcast sparking a discussion about sports media.  All of this and more on this episode of No Warmup.
