Shari Bayer has more than thirty years of experience in 'the industry,' from working the floor at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago, & founding the NYC culinary & hospitality-focused PR agency, Bayer Public Relations, in 2003, to establishing her award-winning podcast, All in the Industry, in 2014, which she has hosted & produced over 400 episodes of on behind-the-scenes talent in hospitality. Shari is the author of Chefwise: Life Lessons from Leading Chefs Around the World (Phaidon, Spring 2023); founder of All in the Industry®, a new media & production company, launching H.O.S.T. Summit + Social, in 2020 in Brooklyn, NYC. Shari is a former president of the NYWCA; member of Les Dames d'Escoffier NY, & the James Beard Foundation. A Miami native, Shari earned a BA from The University of Michigan, & Culinary Certificate from the Cooking Academy of Chicago. She is a contributing freelance writer, & a fearless solo diner & traveler.
