Brenda Chapel is a passionate advocate for adoptees, dedicated to fostering a more equitable and compassionate world. As an adoptive parent in an open adoption, Brenda works to echo adoptee voices and facilitate greater understanding among adoptive parents, helping to create safer spaces and promote trauma-informed care.

Brenda’s personal experiences, combined with professional expertise in learning and change management, shape their work in developing resources and training to support adoptees and their families. Through constellation conversations with individuals across the adoption constellation, Brenda hopes to create meaningful change and a better world for adoptees.

Sarah Harper

Adoptee, Trauma Counselor, and Educator

Sarah Harper is a domestic, interracial adoptee (Hispanic and White) with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Behavioral Health and Human Development. A trauma counselor and mental health trainer, Sarah specializes in equipping professionals with tools to create safe, trauma-informed spaces for children.

Raised in a family that embraced international adoptees, foster children, and family preservation efforts, Sarah brings a unique perspective to the adoption constellation. Her work spans teaching, counseling, and consulting, where she empowers others to center adoptee voices and embrace compassionate strategies.

Through the podcast, Sarah combines her lived experience and professional expertise to challenge myths, foster understanding, and advocate for a more equitable and compassionate world for adoptees.
