Black Cultural Spaces: Challenges, Resistance, and Future

 In early 2025, significant policy changes ushered in a marked shift in the administration's approach toward diversity, equity, and inclusion. The dismantling of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs has generated substantial concern across various sectors, particularly in federal agencies and educational institutions. These changes seem to stem from an overarching belief that such initiatives may have led to division rather than unity, a perspective that has prompted a reevaluation of institutional mandates regarding social justice and equity.
