Make Way Podcast started out when my Hula Brother & I were part of a competition with 4 of our other Hula Brothers. Graciously being chosen as the Overall Group to win a plaque for the highest scored points, Jay jokingly yelled out, “MAKE WAY for the Na Hoku Boyz!” Hence the actual pronunciation of our Halau, Na Hoku Mai Kanoelani, meaning Stars of the Heavenly Mist. Long story short, the line stuck with us & became a personal comedic way to make a red carpet for our entrance for our humble presence.
