Today we're continuing our exploring a provocative question: What is missing in humanity? Not a critique, but a cosmic invitation to rethink where we're misaligned and how we might re-align with something larger than ourselves.

The Importance of Community

The concept of community is central to pre-colonial societies, as it provided a framework for social organizations, governance, and cultural identity. Communities were often composed of small, tightly knit groups, such as barangays in the Philippines, which were the backbone of social and cultural life. These groups relied on each other for survival, from farming to trading, creating a strong sense of belonging. The shared identity and mutual support were key to their resilience, which laid the groundwork for cultural practices, social cohesion, and local governance that shaped pre-colonial life.
