Dr. Grant Drawve

Dr. Grant Drawve is the Vice President of Geospatial Crime Solutions at CAP Index, where he leads innovative research on crime patterns, risk forecasting, and spatial analytics. With a background in criminology and data science, Dr. Drawve specializes in using geospatial methods to understand and predict crime, helping organizations make data-driven security decisions.


Before joining CAP Index, Dr. Drawve was an associate professor and researcher, focusing on crime mapping, law enforcement strategies, and public safety initiatives. He has collaborated with law enforcement agencies, policymakers, and businesses to develop proactive crime prevention strategies. His work has been published in top academic journals and presented at major industry conferences.

As the host of The Geography of Crime podcast, Dr. Drawve brings expert insights, real-world data, and compelling discussions to help audiences rethink crime risk and safety.

Dr. Noah Fritz

Dr. Noah Fritz recently retired as the Director of the Office of Data Analytics & Strategic Initiatives (ODASI) in the Office of the Chief at the Fairfax County (VA) Police Department and today is the CEO of Justice Research Associates, a private research consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado. 


His primary area of research has been Crime Mapping, Crime Analysis and Geographic Information Systems, but in retirement he is dedicated to research on social and restorative justice. He returned to the "field" of crime analysis after serving as an Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice & Criminology Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He was the previous Director and Founder of the Crime Mapping and Analysis Program (CMAP)—a U.S. Department of Justice sponsored training and technical assistance program; and served as the Deputy Director of DOJ’s National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center.
