Andrew Pinkerton

Andrew Pinkerton is a professional race car driver, strategist, and race engineer from Birmingham, Alabama. He has competed in IMSA, MX-5 Cup, WRL, SCCA, NASA, and various endurance racing series around the country. With competition experience in go-karts, formula cars, front wheel drive, and rear wheel drive race cars he has a depth of knowledge to draw upon at the track. Away from competition and track weekends Andrew’s day jobs include working with the Porsche Track Experience, Mercedes, and various racing programs. 

His breadth of experience encompasses almost every job imaginable at a race track. He has worked as an event promoter, photographer, corner worker, shuttle driver, PA announcer, radio producer, race mechanic, journalist, helmet painter, and a driver.

George Phillips

George attended his first Indianapolis 500 in 1965 at the age of six. He has attended more than half of the 500’s held since then. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and currently resides in Nashville.  His passion is following and promoting the present-day Indy Car Series, along with the annual pilgrimage to the hallowed Brickyard each May. His appreciation for Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan; is as great as his admiration for Bill Vukovich and Rex Mays. George will comment on news, teams and drivers, and give a historical perspective of IndyCar racing and the Indianapolis 500.

John Oreovicz

John Oreovicz became interested in cars when he was a child, and by the time he attended the Indianapolis 500 for the first time in 1978, he was hooked on racing. Since then, he devoted his professional career to studying and documenting the sport, working as a journalist for more than 25 years for ESPN.com, National Speed Sport News and Autosport, among others. John lives in Speedway, Indiana, within walking distance of Turn 1 of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Indy car racing continues to play an important role in his life. He enjoys spending time with his son Patrick and collecting live recordings by David Gilmour and his other favorite musicians.

Mat Coch

Mat is the first and only Australian-based journalist to hold permanent FIA Formula 1 media accreditation.

He has a wealth of experience in Formula 1, having covered the sport for almost 15 years for newspapers, websites, and magazines globally, including a stint as Editor of GPWeek magazine.

He began his motorsport career covering state-level racing in New South Wales before quickly working his way to Formula 1.

As a freelancer, Coch contributed to Speedcafe during the 2017 season before officially joining as a permanent writer at the beginning of 2018.

In July 2022 he stepped up to Formula 1 Editor.

Coch has also worked as a commentator both locally and internationally and makes regular appearances on radio, television, and podcasts.

He was named Motorsport Australia Journalist of the Year for 2020.
