Chris's Billboard Top 3000 Countdown Podcast
My name is Chris, and this is a fun and informative discussion of Billboard's Top 3000 songs of all-time, based on rankings from the first Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart in 1958 until the end of the year 2022. Each episode will have me talking about a set of 20 songs in countdown fashion, Casey Kasem style.

Howdy Chris. Love the podcast. I binge listened the whole 1200 songs in one sitting. I’m curious. Back when I used to listen to Casey Kasum weekly and yearend countdowns from the early 80’s I’ve noticed that some of the highest charting songs (Start Me Up - Rolling Stones #2, Heart Attack - Olivia Newton-John had several weeks at #3 and Purple Rain - Prince and the Revolution #2, just to name a few). They never placed a ranking in the year end countdowns. I am curious if they will place this time around now that’s it reconfigured. Haven’t heard them yet. They are great ones. I’m pretty much on the ball when it comes to 80’s Billboard countdowns. Keep up the great work.
FANMail- love your show!!!
Fun podcast! I can never think of questions, but then I am so glad that people asked the great questions they asked! And I can't tell you how relieved I am...my favorite word you said in this podcast was "eventually." My fearful prediction for the #1 song is apparently not correct. 🎉🥳 As always, thank you so much for doing this! I wish I could share one of these dumplings with you, that I made while listening! 😁
Your podcasts sound so smooth and professional that I would never guess you work with "crude" equipment. LOL
Hi Chris - I just discovered your Billboard Top 3000 podcast, and I’ve listened to the first couple of episodes already. I love it! I’m very into both music and lists, so your podcast fits nicely with my interests. Can’t wait to listen to all the episodes! One quick question: you mention in your podcast that the full versions of the songs on your list are available in an Apple Music playlist. But I have not been able to find this playlist. Is the link posted on the podcast’s Facebook page, or is it available somewhere else? Thanks for all the hard work and effort you put into producing this podcast. Please know that it is appreciated!
