Mr. Lawler is a national security consultant and Senior Partner at MDO Group, providing HUMINT training focused on WMDs, cyber, and counterintelligence. A leading voice on Insider Threats, he has spoken at top agencies, universities, and corporations. He served 25 years in the CIA, including as Chief of the team that dismantled the A.Q. Khan nuclear network, earning honors like the Trailblazer Award and HUMINT Collector of the Year. Before intelligence, he practiced law and led a steel company. A Rice and UT Law graduate, he’s authored three CIA-cleared spy novels: Living Lies, In the Twinkling of an Eye, and The Traitor’s Tale. Living Lies was ranked #38 on Spyscape’s top spy novels
