Who Gets to Decide Antarctica's Future? with Rob Swan, Polar Explorer and Founder of 2041 Foundation

Rob Swan was the first person in history to walk to both the North and South Poles. He joins Loreto and Dan to talk about the continent nobody owns, and the treaty decision that determines what happens to it. In 1991,  the world agreed to leave Antarctica alone as a natural reserve for science and peace. From 2041, that agreement can start to be reopened. Rob has spent 35 years on a promise he made to Jacques Cousteau to make sure it isn't.

These days he spends more time in boardrooms than on the ice, working with business leaders on the skills he reckons they're worst at: telling a story and inspiring people who aren't already convinced. His argument is that industry can move faster on this than governments can, because a business survives by staying in business.
