i just listened to the first podcast. I really enjoyed it. Over the years I have had so many people say I should tell my story more. I use to write alot and would always get all these people I did not know telling me how inspiring I was. I would laugh because it was just a way for me to cope and honor those memories of my lost ones. Bennie and Sharon came to see me all the way in Avery about 4 months after we lost our friends. They scolded me so bad because I had lost about 40lbs and was not dealing well. My dad then drowned in 97, my grandmother who lived in Chillicothe had a wreck in 02/03 that forever changed her ability to be the grandmother I knew and then my son shot in 2005. It was just hard but I had one real good friend that was just what a considered an ok friend at the time of my son’s death. I mean she was there when I lost Tamara, Chris and babies and my dad but when I lost Jermiah she showed up that day and Ihasnt never left! She was my rock, and it took me years to realize how much she sacrificed to make sure I was ok. It is powerful what one friend can do when they want to, Add that to the fact I was married to an abusive man who tried to get her to stay away from me and I think I am not sure I have ever gave as much as I could have sometimes but can't dwell in that all I could do was start doing better!! I have since raised so many kids I can't even tell you. Lol I try to pay it back by taking in children.
