Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith, and you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all to go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls, more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. Hi, dear one. Welcome to the New Moon in Pisces podcast with me, Sarah. This is the official closing of the astrological year. Oh, I think that deserves a pause and a breath. So, as always, I'm gonna share the practicals In this Pisces. We'll go into what the new Moon represents, when it is, how you can work with that energy for your health, your physical health, your spiritual health, your emotional health. But I'm really gonna talk about integrating, and I'll do this for a trauma informed lens, which is often a missing part of the puzzle in a lot of therapies or a lot of healing spaces. So we're gonna spend some time talking about integration because here we are at the close and like all life cycles, it's really just opening the door to, even though we're at the close, we are just around the corner from a new door opening with Aries season and with a spring equinox. So again, I'm gonna invite that pause and that breath. You know, that's a never ending cycle that supports our life as well. So let's be with that for a moment. And it's really nice just to check the posture. Really thinking about the physicality of your body and the space of your lungs. Are you giving them the space that they need to be optimized? Could you lengthen? Could you rest back? Could you take your arms up and stretch and can you breathe like it's a 3D organ that it really is into the. The lower lobes, the back of the body, really expanding at the top of the breath and not controlling, just surrendering your exhale and letting every last drop go. And I hope that you take a pause at the end of that breath just to notice how being present with your breath really serves you and how it affects quite a few things. Your, with your health. It really affects your mental health and it really affects the physical health as well. new moon in Pisces. Actually, Pisces is a water sign and it's not about logic and it's not about action, and it's not about grounding in reality. So I'm gonna actually start with the symbology for Pisces, which is, the fish swimming in two opposite directions. Really lovely imagery if look it up or look at any artwork, and it's often like beautiful blue water, and if we think of what water is, it's liquid consciousness. And then we've got two fish, one swims towards the spiritual realms, really representing the strengths of Piscescean and energy, imagination, dreams, intuition, and these unseen forces that shape our lives. The things that we feel deeply that move our life out earth, that maybe other people wouldn't comprehend or understand. Other fish swims towards the earthly reality, which is the embodiment, the human journey, the tangible world that we live in. And these two fish remind us that life is always a dance between the mystical and the material, between the soul and the self, between the surrender and the action. And this new moon takes place right at the end of Pisces season. So here in the UK and London arriving on Thursday the 19th of March at 1:23 AM sitting at 28 degrees of Pisces. Right at the end of the Zodiac wheel in New York. New Moon falls at 9:23 PM the evening before and in LA at 6:23 PM the evening before happening on the Wednesday. Which leads me to a really nice invite that later the evening of Thursday, the 19th of March, we'll gather for our new moon, somatic and healing circle, which is seven 30. It's not just another new moon circle, not just another lunar reset. This is that final moon of the year before we walk into airy season. Just a day later. So with Aries energy, we get fire, we get a spark, we get ignition, but we must really take that pause and embody the Piscescean and energy, which is something softer, something quieter. There's so much medicine here in the reflection before the action. That moment of pause at the end of the exhale before the new cycle of breath, surrender more than strategy. So this moon is really inviting you to tune into dreams. Listen to intuition, trust the emotional wisdom that moves through you. So we'll be using this moon to not just focus on what we want to create next. So we do that with these new chapters, these new beginnings with new moons, we'll be setting intentions, a lot of manifestation energy in the air, but it's kind of got a full moon feeling about it, like a reflection point. Looking with compassion about what we could let go of before we go into a new year, how we can truly integrate into the body, which I'll be going into, which is, some really vital information and just gathering that wisdom of the year that has just unfolded because basically Piscesces is the deep, deep ocean where everything returns to. Piscesces is actually ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, imagination, intuition, and of altered states of consciousness. Traditionally, it is also guided by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and wisdom, together, these planetary influences create a sign that is deeply empathetic, imaginative, and spiritually attuned. And I know that many of us are listening that are empaths or intuitive, and these aren't traits that have always been honored or celebrated through. Modern day society. So this is a space to tune into that, to know yourself deeply and to trust yourself. Pisces energy can dissolve boundaries. It can open us up to the emotional currents around us. So if you're an empath, you might be feeling a lot, which is why in Piscesces season many people notice things like heightened sensitivity. Difficulty making decisions, vivid dreams, or really not feeling that sure about things, feeling a bit foggy and intuitive at the same time. So you might have noticed that your sleep's been affected, your dreams are more vivid playing, like. Movies or nothing seems to be going to plan exactly, especially with Mercury in retrograde at the moment. But my dear, this is Pisces energy so we've collected the wisdom of the 11 signs of the Zodiac that walk before Pisces and most of Pisces Energy. By the time we get to this point in the cycle, Aries will begin the story again. Pisces completes it. So this sign is holding deep medicine of integration, compassion, forgiveness, and spiritual understanding. And Pisces reminds us that life isn't just a sequence of events, but a journey of emotional and spiritual evolution. The kind of juice that no one else can see, but you are in the deep embodiment of it. And before we rush forward into new intentions for air season or for the moon, let's pause before and just feel into what have I learned this year? What this year has, this year taught me? What experiences shaped me? What challenges stretched me and what gifts revealed themselves in unexpected ways? This is a moon for closing chapters with reverence, for honoring the journey, for allowing the emotional body to speak to you. Because sometimes something inside you shows you the truth before your mind understands it. And I'm gonna go into a little bit of brain science about processing things with the brain, the body, the emotions, your emotional body. May already be integrating the year through the dreams, through the sensations, through the subtle feelings that arise when you reflect on what's happened. So the science of integration through a trauma-informed perspective. Integration isn't a mental process only. Our experiences live across many systems in the brain and the body. Some of these words might be new or you are learning them deeper. So we've got the hippocampus part of the brain. This helps us to remember the story of what happened. The amygdala stores the emotional intensity of your experiences, the insular cortex. This tracks how these experiences felt inside the body and the prefrontal cortex. The newer part of the brain helps us make meaning and perspective from it all, and this is why when we are integrating the lessons of the year, it's more than just thinking back on what's been happening. It really requires feeling, sensing, reflecting and allowing your nervous system to process what's happened. When we revisit experiences from a safe environment, like for example, when you sit in a new moon circle in your home or an environment that you feel safe in, something really incredible happens in the brain. It's called memory reconsolidation. And this means that when we recall memory, while we are actually safe and supported and regulated enough, your brain can actually update how the memory is stored. Something like 80% of memories can be faulty, so this is why it's really important when you are safe enough, when you're regulated enough, you can take time to integrate, and then your nervous system can learn. That happened then. Right now I'm safe here. This is one of the ways that healing unfolds. It happens slowly, gently, and layer by layer. And Pisces New Moon, Pisces season is a really beautiful time to consciously integrate that year. But it is important to do that in a gentle way on the nervous system, not by forcing these insights like, oh, I must do this, must get this done, or it's on my tick list. But by allowing understanding to emerge. How do you go about doing this? You need to start with nervous system safety. So if you're working with a practitioner or you are one, or perhaps you've been in one of my containers before, then we will always walk you through a process of doing that. So looking at your environment, looking at your internal environment, your external environment, making sure that feels like a felt sense of safety in your body or safe enough. When we review intense experiences too quickly, so big things might have happened to you across this astrological year is there's potential that your nervous system can become overwhelmed and perhaps you're already overwhelmed and it just lays onto that. So simple practices that can signal to the body that it is a safe time to reflect. Could be like working with the breath like what we did at the beginning of the practice. Slow breathing with longer exhales and inhales. Some really gentle movement like stretching or walking, orienting to the space that you are in. So paying attention, paying close attention to the sounds around you, the colors, the textures, the temperature. These are small actions, but they begin to signal to your nervous system. It's safe to process this now. And then reviewing in small chapters. So instead of analyzing the year as a whole, we just break it down into manageable pieces. This is why we invite you to come to more than just one drop in you or full moon ceremony or just, Just drop. It is much better to work with this as a practice because you get to reflect in manageable bite-sized chunks. You can go through cycle by cycle or season by season. You can tune into emotional themes that are emerging. So it might be with each water sign that your emotions start to feel like they are submerging you and it is getting too much that you might have maybe connected back, like, oh, on the last. Water. I did find this particular practice really supported me. I might have externally felt overwhelmed, but during that time I found a supportive practice for my body. And that will be different for each of us, and that's really honoring something important in you, the resilience that already resides in your body. And also part of an integration practice is tracking the wisdom of your body, the actual physical body, your physical health and feedback, not just the mind. So things happen in cycles. Where does tension or ease appear, especially when you're recalling the year or certain memories? What moments bought warmth or grief? Or where were you numbing out to certain memories? Noticing whether your body wants movement, stillness, or rest as you reflect back. And again, just bringing in intuitive movements like stretching, shaking, breathing, crying, not just journaling. So sometimes I might be journaling and I'll just put the pen down, orient back into the space and take some deep breaths because the emotion might be there, but it might not be ready to be felt, fully. The body does know how to release what the mind can't always articulate. And something that we like to do in circle is to, name what we are feeling, to name what's changing within us, to identify those internal shifts. Asking yourself, what boundaries did I learn? What beliefs evolved. We do that every full moon. What strengths emerged in me? What losses am I grieving? This process moves experiences from just raw memory and recall into meaningful narrative. And it's encircle that we pass on this wonderful, meaningful wisdom'cause we mirror back to each other what we are feeling. And then offering compassion to your survival strategies. It might be that you're really stressed out and perhaps you were losing it. Perhaps you turned to drinking a bit more than you wanted. Or vaping or overworking shopping, whatever coping strategies you're moving into. But in a trauma-informed way, we don't reflect with judgment. We just ask. I wonder why I reacted that way. I wonder why my capacity was stretched so much that I picked up this perhaps helpful at the time habit, but maybe it's not serving me now, but it was helping me. It was a strategy that I felt was helping me to survive, but asking the question, what was my nervous system trying to protect and what did that coping strategy help you to survive from? Did you notice you were going into shutdown avoidance, anger? These are protective adaptations and they deserve compassion, so it's really important to notice them and then use multiple integration channels. Different experiences are processed through different neural systems, like I spoke about the brain earlier, and this is why integration benefits from multiple approaches. For example, journaling engages the part of the brain that organizes narrative movement engages the body's sensory motory system. Breath work regulates the autonomic nervous system. Creative expression activates emotional and symbolic processing. Really important. So your held in practices that we do put inside the new and Full Moon, but you might practice alone, is journaling, drawing, mapping the year out, visually, talking with people that you trust or being witnessed or just being in that space. Somatic practices. Lighting a candle and incense doing some cleansing, burning things. That's what we do in our full moon ceremony. Write things out and burn them. Integration rarely happens in like one moment of insight really happens layer by layer, moon by moon, and then before jumping into Aries season with this fire and this forward momentum, after reflecting on the past year. We connect with the present moment. Ask yourself, what do I want to carry forward? And I'll take my group for a meditation practice to anchor into the moment, what do I value? What do I want to build on? What's here already? What will support me in moving into this new cycle, this new vision? And just being present, just breathing, just allowing things to be as they are. The past is complete. The new chapter is still forming, but this is who I am right now. This is about preparing the soil for the next season, and all US gardeners know that's an important, practice in itself. So inviting you to really carve out that sacred time for you. Astrologically things are getting quite powerful with these spring equinox itts coming forwards. The Aries energies still an eclipse season, so this is the moment of the cycle where we really need that sacred pause, rest, breath, reflection, integration moment. So I'd love to know your biggest takeaway from this session and to invite you to join that new mean circle happening on the 19th of March, which is a Thursday night at seven 30 live. And also you can get this on replay, so if you, if you just pay what you feel is right, you can just drop in. But honestly, the people that are getting the major changes are the ones inside the healing portal. I know there can be resistance to committing to 12 months. You actually don't need to sign up for the year's program. You can just do a rolling month. But it's kind of more of a commitment to say, I am gonna come into this container. I am definitely gonna attend the new or full moon circles or schedule the time in my diary to get the replays, and as I notice what's coming up for me and what extra support I might need, then you'll have that at your fingertips. Because inside the portal are all the layers of the body that we look after. So there's. Nutrition support, which is, cyclical and it's designed for a woman's changing body through the seasons of your life. It's done through a naturopathic and Ayurvedic lense. So really working with the ancient wisdom of the universe. Ancient wisdom was channeled, to the sages and passed on and, there's amazing recipes in there. Things that you can enjoy. I think it's always worth. Putting a massive emphasis on the community that you get. So there is, a WhatsApp group and a Facebook group. So you could get to meet these ladies in person or on online. And they're coming from,, all around the UK and the friendships that form from that and you might be seen as the sort of spiritual woowoo,. But you're a very practical person as well. You know, you go out, you do your thing, you're helping the planet heal, but you've gotta look after yourself. And we've got the nervous system regulation in there through the movement. I hold live somatic practices. There's a whole library of recorded. Somatic movement, yoga, breath work, pranayama. So whether you are a space holder yourself, this will land for you. But if you're newer to the work, there's some really simple practices for beginners or intermediate as well. And it's working with your capacity. Whether you are really thriving and you're like, give me more, there's high awareness sessions in there and we've got astrologists. We've got reflexologists, we've got people coming in to teach about house organization or experts like Adele Wimsett it who teaches about women's hormones. We've got sleep experts in there. So if you've got really big capacity and you want to make big changes, then they're there. We do it in a nervous system friendly way. So if it's like, right, I can only commit to one thing this month, I'm not feeling great. There's a lot going on with my family and my work, then you might just enjoy attending the live seasonal change session. So the next one will be Aries season, and I'll be say, these are the energies coming in. You know, what's important to you? What one thing might you commit to? And I'll be talking about the simple changes that you might like to make to your lifestyle to suit the season. So as we walk into spring, what the body is naturally undergoing and how you can support that. So it's just a friendly space for you to come and to drop into yourself really and to grow with us. So I'd love for you to either drop into the new moon circle, or if you feel ready, come and check out the Healing Portal membership. I'm gonna leave it there. Just to share what's happening with me is I will be moving from the climates of the UK over to African soil, for the spring equinox. So I'm making time to do my own cleanse at the moment and prepare my body for that. I will take some time out to be with myself under the Pisces moon as well. I think this is really important. We can only take our clients as deep as we go, and you'll feel it. If I've been avoiding my practices, you'll feel that I'm not authentic. So, this is my commitment to be in service, is to honor my own spiritual, energetic, emotional, physical body and to, share that wisdom with you, and I can't wait to hear how you all are as well. So thank you so much for listening. Let me know your biggest takeaway, or I'll see you in the circle or in the portal. Bye for now.
